The first glass replacement had a large scratch, the second a small chip and the third small scratch/chip. All I continued to hear is "industry Standard" says if you can't see from 10 feet away, it's acceptable. Well each issue can be seen from 10 feet away. They even had a rep for their local distributor, Sierra Glass, come and confirm it was an acceptable replacement on the third attempt. I was assured the last attempt they checked thoroughly at the shop and saw no issues. So it's either a transport or install issue nobody wanted to admit to. One of the installers even called the office and I overheard with an attitude 'she's checking it with a fine tooth comb". You bet I am when I'm paying over $600 for a piece of glass. In the end, I took a small discount to keep the 3rd attempt because it was the best out of the 3 and had no idea what the next was going to look like. Hopefully there will be no issues.

We paid upfront the $3,946 for the windows. We were told they would be in numerous times and they never came. We had several phone conversations and finally where told on a Monday that they would be in that we.We showed up on Wednesday as agreed only to be met with a permanently closed sign. We have made several attempts to reach this company without success. This is absolutely unacceptable to do this to anyone especially to an elderly lady on fixed income. Nevada Quality Windows, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You will make this right and we will see to it as we pursue the legal route.

I so love it when businesses do everything so well that I'm able to write glowing reviews. Doing due diligence before hiring a contractor is the mother of homeowner's good luck. We had this glass contractor do some glass work for us after we'd thoroughly checked 'em out. High Caliber Glass has an active Nevada contractors license, 0077399, in Classification C-8 Glass and Glazing https://www.leg.state.nv.us/nac/nac-624.html since 16 October 2012, with no verified complaints. Service staff graciously answered all our questions promptly which made a good first impression. Did what they're in business to do Has average prices Did it for the price they quoted us Did it within the time they said they would Delivered what they advertise. That's important because it provides Veterans (rare 7% of the population) and GIs (rare one-half of one percent of the population) opportunity to participate in American Dream Veterans and GIs' sacrifices have made possible for 100% of the population. A Veterans Discount means a lot to those unable to be employed due to military Service-connected disability as on limited fixed income. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, 3 Stars is "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of a business that does day in and day out what they are in business to do. 4 and 5-Stars to me is when a business goes over and beyond what they are in the business to do. High Caliber Glass earned 4th star for its Military and Veterans Discount. On this day in history 4 January 1910 - Commissioning of USS Michigan (BB-27), the first US dreadnought battleship. 1928 - US Marines participated in the Battle of Quilali during US occupation of Nicaragua from 1912 - 1933. Known as Banana Wars, US military invaded various Latin American countries from 1898 to 1934 to stop other nations from building a Nicaraguan Canal. US purchased French interests in the Panama Canal in 1902. 1944 - Operation Carpetbagger: US aircraft begin dropping supplies to guerrilla forces throughout Western Europe. The action demonstrated that US believed guerrillas were a vital support to the formal armies of the Allies in their battle against Axis powers. Virtually every country that experienced Axis invasion raised a guerrilla force; they were especially effective and numerous in Italy, France, China, Greece, the Philippines, Yugoslavia, and the Soviet Union. 1955 - US agrees to pay Japan $2 million ($22 million in today's 2023 dollars) for radioactive fallout damages resulting from US atomic testing in Marshall Islands. 1979 - Ohio approves out-of-court settlement awarding $675,000 ($3 million in 2023 dollars) to the victims and families in the 1970 shootings at Kent State University, in which four students were killed and nine wounded by Ohio National Guard as it opened fire on a crowd peacefully exercising their 1st Amendment right to protest the very unpopular Viet Nam war. The tragedy was a watershed moment. In its immediate aftermath, a student-led strike forced the temporary closure of colleges and universities across the country. The events of that day in northeast Ohio decisively tilted public opinion against US military involvement in Viet Nam. The last military draft call was 7 December 1972, and the authority to draft into military expired 30 June 1973. The date of the last drawing for the draft lottery was 12 March 1975. Selective Service registration for draft into military was resumed July 1980 for men born in 1960 and later. It remains in effect to this present day. Men are required to register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Which I believe discriminates against men. Women should also be required to register. Failure to register is a felony punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment. Also, a person who knowingly counsels, aids or abets another to fail to comply with the registration requirement is subject to the same penalties. 2002 - Sergeant First Class Ross Chapman, US Army Special Forces aka Green Beret, at age 31, after 13 years of Service, dies near Khost, Afghanistan. They were to mirror the outline of my current windows and not look distracting or cheap. I spent $15,000 on 8 windows, plus another couple thousand on installation. That's a lot and I expect a lot. Do they work? Highway noise decreased noticeably. Airplanes still heard overhead. Perhaps the noise comes through the ceiling. I am glad I have them. Aesthetics? 1. HORRIBLE and FALSE ADVERTISING on the part of Soundproof Windows. Every single video and photo on their website shows a clean white frame window. My windows have ugly BLACK rubber sealing the window to the frame. It's fat black rubber outlining every single window. My installer - who has done Soundproof installations for 14 years - says no one is happy with this and it happened in the last few years. Tell me, is white rubber sealing "sash" so much more expensive than black? Is this a cheap decision or just a stupid design decision? Am I expected to painstakingly paint all the rubber? 2. The caulking to fit the windows to the opening is more noticeable than I wish 3. On a semi circle window, two sets of screws are on either side of the window. It looks like riveting. The installer put putty on the screws on the outside track, and I'll paint over it, but I'm stuck with a riveted window on the inside track. Ugly Ease of use: for two sliding windows, I paid extra for glide. All the other windows take my husband to force it open - they are tough to open. Quality: A single sash window was cheaply designed with 1 spring not 2 on each side so the spring pops out all the time and it can't stay up. My installer is going to ask them to send a replacement piece with 2 springs. Installation: My installer spent 3 days putting 7 windows in, and caulking. He has one large window #8 above the front door left to install, and he is getting 3 helpers. Good luck to those who think they can do it themselves. I won't comment here on his installation but let's say, it's not a clean, perfect job.
