There was one window that posed a potential problem because it was blocked by a built-in immobile desk with shutters. The solution was to install the detector on the shutters. I also requested a fob, something not usually offered. They thought it was unavailable with my system, They did the research to find that they are available and Anthony left the job to obtain it. When he returned, the two of them connected the fob to the system. Beyond that, Tristen was patient explaining how the system worked. One of my questions was not easily answered regarding how to access a chart I had earlier seen on the home page. Tristen spent time researching and finding the answer. Throughout the time Tristen and Anthony were here they worked quietly, conscientiously and with consideration. Update: Recent heavy snow damaged the sensor for the outside garage door. They will be returning to replace the sensor as well as adding a panic alarm function to the fobs. I've also requested outside signs to let people know about the presence of the burglar alarm. I strongly recommend against using KD Electric. I hired them to do some fairly simple rewiring of…read moreour home: replacing a junction box and adding one circuit for a new 120V outlet. They wound up shorting one of the hot lines to neutral, which caused 240V to be supplied to 120V circuits. This caused an electrical fire by overloading multiple transformers. If I had not been near one of the transformers when the electrical service was restored, our home quite literally could have burned down. The result was heavy smoke damage and multiple appliances needing to be replaced. Even though a forensic expert was sent to our home by our insurance agency who confirmed KD's negligence, they have refused to cover the expenses for the smoke mitigation and appliance replacements.

While that was unable to be accomplished due to the complexity of the device, I still feel this company excelled in providing high quality customer support. If I had to quantify a rating for 5 stars, here is my rationale 1st. Communication, the owner of the spent time corresponding through text messaging to drill down on the problem and come up with a viable solution 2nd. Professional, he knew what he was doing, and while the device could not be repaired, he provided options and alternatives to try to work to the desired outcome. 3rd. Courtesy, after explaining my situation and desire for the repair, the owner was nothing but courteous and respectful. Even going beyond to be helpful in a capacity to help me achieve my goal. 4th. Integrity. Called it like he saw it, didn't take money for something that may or may not have been completed. Was honest about his ability and what I could hope to achieve. 5th. Business storefront availability. Clean, easy to find, approachable and courteous staff. These are my reasons for awarding five stars even for not having completed a transaction.
