There was one window that posed a potential problem because it was blocked by a built-in immobile desk with shutters. The solution was to install the detector on the shutters. I also requested a fob, something not usually offered. They thought it was unavailable with my system, They did the research to find that they are available and Anthony left the job to obtain it. When he returned, the two of them connected the fob to the system. Beyond that, Tristen was patient explaining how the system worked. One of my questions was not easily answered regarding how to access a chart I had earlier seen on the home page. Tristen spent time researching and finding the answer. Throughout the time Tristen and Anthony were here they worked quietly, conscientiously and with consideration. Update: Recent heavy snow damaged the sensor for the outside garage door. They will be returning to replace the sensor as well as adding a panic alarm function to the fobs. I've also requested outside signs to let people know about the presence of the burglar alarm. We received an automated phone message that their system was not talking to our alarm, so we no longer were being monitored. When we finally reached a real person, they said we needed to pay a significant amount for a service call to determine the problem, even though they did not know what caused the outage, after working fine for 11 years. We decided to change alarm monitoring companies, finding more service and less expense, and since Mountain Alarm has raised their rates 22% from 2019. Since we were required to pay in advance, we asked for reimbursement for the time their services were not provided due to the unknown technical issue, but they refused. We requested a call from the GM or Supervisor, but just heard back from the person who answers the phone, with a bullshit rationale for why they were keeping our money that they did not earn. We suggest that management needs to either be accessible or empower their employees to make customer service a priority. Don't get caught by excessive charges after you sign up for their alarm monitoring, Mountain Alarm is not the highly ethical Burgarello anymore!!

Nevertheless I am now switching. There equipment is terrible. Just changing a battery in one of their sensors is a nightmare. It takes weeks to get a service call. After changing a smoke detector battery and could not get it to seat correctly. The design of this is terrible, making it almost impossible to remove or replace. As I tried to replace the smoke detector it got stuck, requiring a service call to fix. That involves an almost $60 service call and a wait of three weeks. I have had many similar problems in the past. Also, it gripes me that anyone with a camera (even a doorbell camera) must pay DOUBLE the monthly rate, even though this does not involve any extra cost or effort at ADT.

I spilled coffee on my laptop keyboard two weeks ago. Within about five minutes I was getting an error message. I called around to different computer service centers the PC Service Center gave me the most affordable quote. $85 for a simple cleaning. If there were shorts and I needed new parts they would simply charge me for the parts above the $85. So the 85 was a simple flat rate for the labor on the entire job. nothing hidden. i knew upfront what all the charges would be. It turns out that my computer did not need new parts so all I paid was the $85 for the cleaning (thank you!!). This was far and away the best price. The next closest was drop zone (california location). They would've charged me $90 for a diagnostic. Then that $90 would've been put towards the repairs/cleaning; im pretty sure they would've charged me over 90 for the cleaning, tho. Everything else was much higher after that. I was getting quoted $150 and $200 from all the other PC repair places in Reno/sparks, and some of them were not very transparent or forthcoming about pricing over the phone. PC service center does have a lot of work, so you might have to wait a few days to a week simply because they work in order received. i highly recommend this business. No need to go anywhere else unless you want something overnighted. They also have laptops for sale if yours is busted. Prices look like they range from about $300 and higher. Their store is cool. They have old Macintoshes and other tech on display for decoration.
