Highly recommended if you're looking for a reliable, friendly, and thorough optometrist in the area!

Let me start off with the fact that I love Dr Dear! He has always been kind and thorough, I…read moreappreciate that. As for the front staff, I am surprised by the lack of professionalism and bad attitude towards their patients / customers. I have been a long time patient of Dr Dear, I have purchased at least 2 frames from the office and have had them sent out, lenses put into frames at least 4 times. This current experience just has not been sitting right with me, from beginning, setting up the appointment to picking up my frames, the end. Also please note that this business is currently by appointment only, when you arrive the door is locked from the inside. While that is fine for safety or what not, dont treat your patients like idiots when they dont know and attempt to open the door. There is a sign on the door but you know..... professionalism. I did not find anything from their frame selection so I opted to purchase frames from elsewhere and bring them back for lenses. We'll, again since its appointment only, every time I've had to go back I had to make an "appointment" regardless of if it takes 10 minutes to pay for the lenses with front staff or a 30 second rushed handoff of frames that they just had lenses put in. It really makes me think twice about going back. Prior to this experience, eveything had been quick, easy and efficient, but not this time.

Getting progressive lenses just right can be challenging, and Reina was incredibly patient, attentive, and thorough throughout the entire process. She also helped me tremendously in selecting the right Silhouette frame, including the style, color, and size that would fit me best. What made the experience even more special was Reina's genuine friendliness and sincerity. She is warm, kind, and approachable, and I always felt that she truly cared about making sure I was happy rather than simply completing a transaction. I received my glasses today and absolutely love them. The fit and vision are wonderful, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. I am especially grateful for the care and attention Reina gave me from beginning to end. Reina is truly an asset to this office. Her professionalism, patience, attention to detail, friendliness, sincerity, and genuine care for her customers are exceptional. I will definitely ask for her personally whenever I return in the future and highly recommend her.

Transparency-check your invoice and ask questions…read more I felt tricked. Lots of upselling without transparency in my last three visits. My last visit 6/26 had to ask optician to go over the list of charges when my bill was more than expected. Upgrades like anti-glare, anti-scratch, or extra thin material for my moderate prescription reading glasses were all on the bill without me being included in the choices. My prior visit, 7/25 was a similar situation. And the 7/24 visit left me with a pair of off the shelf Maui Jim's w/warped lenses. In this case, the optician (Bob) should have noticed that the lenses were damaged (probably due to being directly underneath the display light). Dr. Dally made it right on the 6/25 visit because the issue was within 1 year warranty, but I had to pay processing fees. The doctor here is good. It's the lack of transparency and inclusion from the front of the house that is something of which to be aware.

Title：Inconsistent service and refusal to release my exam data…read more I had an eye exam here about a month ago and paid for the full service. When I later needed my PD (pupillary distance)--a basic part of the exam--to order glasses, the front desk told me they would not provide it because I was not buying glasses from them. This was surprising and very disappointing, because PD is part of the exam results that I already paid for. Even more concerning: When my family member called the same clinic later, the staff suddenly said they could provide the PD. This inconsistency raises questions about professionalism and fairness. I hope the clinic can improve transparency and treat every patient with consistent standards.

This particular doctor was really nice and Did the examination for me anyways granted I'll have to make another appointment with my PCP and then see another eye doctor. Well, at the appointment I could pay extra, I think it was 40 or $60? Yet I decided to do the picture of the backside of my eye to see if I would potentially have anything wrong. I decided to do that just because I haven't been to an eye doctor in about five years. Turns out the picture showed that I will need reading glasses in the next 10 to 15 years! So cool!! I didn't know cameras could project that! Science is amazing! I forget the eye doctors name. But I know they told me he was the Chinese doctor. I'm not too sure if he is actually Chinese or just speaks Mandarin and or Cantonese, but certain people requested him.
