I was in and out in no time! I scheduled an appointment the day before for 11 am (they take walk ins too) I got there a little bit before. Didn't have to fill out any paperwork since it wasn't my first time there. The receptionist was a little busy. There were a lit of people around. I waited about 15 minutes before being called into a room. The actual eye exam part took about 15 minutes. The doctor was really funny and nice too! I had never had him before. He gave me a new prescription for my contacts and a new glasses prescription too. I was out of there by 1130. read more

Avoid This Visionworks Location -- You Deserve Better Care This Visionworks location is a textbook example of a place that pretends to care -- until they've cashed in on your visit. When you walk in, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Erika Pardinas was the one who saw me, and while she was polite, she was clearly in a rush to leave that day. In her haste, she rushed through the exam and ended up writing the wrong prescription for my contacts. With her rushed and careless evaluation, I was then assisted by the staff to order the contacts -- based entirely on her prescription. No one mentioned that there was a strict 60-day return policy. Not verbally. Not in writing. Not in a follow-up email. Nothing. So when I came back to report that the contacts were wrong and unusable, suddenly the friendly smiles were gone and I was met with stone-cold indifference. Let's be honest -- this is on them. Dr. Erika Pardinas gave the wrong prescription. Their team helped place the order. And their failure to inform me of the return policy was their responsibility. At the very least, they should have taken accountability and eaten the cost of the mistake. Instead, they blamed me -- the patient -- and made it clear they weren't interested in making it right. If you're thinking about trusting this place with your vision, don't. There are countless other providers who won't rush through your exam, who will stand by their work, and who will treat you like a human being -- not just a transaction. This experience was not just disappointing -- it was insulting. I wouldn't recommend this Visionworks location to anyone. Avoid it at all costs. read more

Writing this review from my phone...while waiting for the plane to take off. I have come to this Visionworks a couple of times to either pick up contacts or get my vision checked. The staff is always friendly and on point. However what really made me want to write this review is what happened today. I called assign as they opened and spoke to Christopher. This guy was one of the most polite people I have ever spoke to over the phone. He told me he would fax over my prescription to a location that was closer to me - I desperately needed new contacts and I was about to go on vacation and wanted to make sure is be able to SEE the sites. I arrived at the other location and the girl there was super rude and told me my prescription had just expired an I couldn't get any contacts. I begged her for at least some samples and she said no. I called Chris back and explained my situation and nice as ever he apologized and called to have them give me a sample pair. He saved my vacation - and saved me from wearing old lenses which could of really harmed my eyes. read more

My appointment was at 4 did not get seen till almost 5 pm. I advised optometrist I was diabetic and was planning on seeing an ophthalmologist once my foot healed from the surgery I recently had. He tried to give me a referral for one. I declined advising him I was going to have my Dr refer one to me. Due to this the optometrist refused to give me my prescription. I said once u got ok from ophthalmologist he will give me prescription. So I paid $65 for an eye exam and left without my prescription. Complete and total waste of time! I personally went to schedule an appointment. I told them the name of my insurance company, they gave me the cost of the exam for contacts, and I was good to go. Today I get there 30 minutes before my appointment and nobody acknowledged me. When the "greeter" comes over to me, he asked for my insurance card, which I didn't have because I wasn't told to take it. Then he proceeds to tell me it's $45, which I knew because I was told when I scheduled the appointment. And then he throws the curveball, an additional $60. I' had been a customer of this store for well over 15 years. I was going on vacation for the holidays and stopped by to order some contacts. The woman at the store that morning informed me that my prescription had expired in November and said she would not sell me any contacts. I asked her if i could set an appointment with them for as soon as I returned from vacation and just get a few trial pairs to last me till then. Even though my prescription hasn't changed in over 15 years she still refused to help. That level of customer service towards a long time client is unacceptable to me and I am no longer giving this place my business ever again. read more

She seemed genuine in not wanting to lose a customer and expressed how important it is to her that everyone have a good experience at her store. She also shared that she retrained the staff based on the feedback. She offered some free samples to make up for the incident, which I took her up on. I purchased 2 eyeglasses. After two weeks one set fell and scratched the lenses. No protection. They wanted $200 to replace lenses. The same set is now flimsy and every bit the Chinese crap frame I hoped to avoid. Wasted my time and money by using Visionworks. Went 4 blocks away and they replaced lenses for $54. This visionworks is the closest to my job and I gotta admit they hook your girl up everytime. I do my yearly eye exam, buy contacts and glasses there and i've never had a complaint. The staff is friendly and helpful and if you make an appointment, barely have to wait. My work schedule can be crazy at times and the other day I realized I ran out of contacts. During my lunch time, I called and asked if I can order a box of contacts. The rep was super nice and was able to not only take my order, but also take the payment over the phone. The lab needs to improve their quality control. I ordered two pairs of glasses; eyeglasses and sunglasses. They were both made incorrectly. I stopped in a half hour before closing and was greeted by very polite and courteous sales staff. I had to get my girlfriend's sunglasses fixed -- one of the nose pads had fallen off from a pair of Prada sunglasses that she had bought 2 years ago from a Sunglass Hut. They removed the other nose pad, since it was made of plastic and they only have silicone nose pad replacements, and gave me back the original plastic nose pad (seeing as it had the Prada logo on it). And they put 2 new silicone nose pads on. When they were done, I asked how much I owed them, and to my surprise they said "nothing". Parts and labor -- free. How often do you get that kind of service? Anyway, I realize it might only be a small gesture, but sometimes it's these small gestures that leave the biggest impressions. I don't wear glasses so I've never been in an eyeglass store before, but I was pretty amazed at the massive selection of frames. I didn't even know it was possible for there to be that much variety. The store is nicely laid out, with very clean, organized displays, and very cozy lighting. Even though I don't wear glasses, my girlfriend does, and I'll be recommending that she go here for any of her vision needs. read more

I had an appointment at 5:10pm, I got there at 5, they told me to sit and wait the optometrist will call me, around 5:28 I ask a guy how long more it would take to be seen by the doctor and he told me that doctor already left, he told me sorry and just walked away from me without explaining me anything, so I was there sitting the whole time and the doctor just left without verifying that I was there! I recently visited this Vision Works and was appalled by how terribly I was treated by one of the employees, Celine S. I was asking her questions about my previous orders and insurance coverage, so that I could understand it better, and she was treating my questions as they were extremely annoying for her and told her manager that I was complaining and was going to scream at her when I was simply trying to better understand my insurance coverage. I had a terrible experience at Vision Works with Celine S. and neither my family nor I will ever visit this Vision Works location again - they have just lost 5 (previously loyal) customers. read more

Ah, Visionworks, one star is too high!!!!! I entered with a complex prescription in hand and close to no Spanish. HOWEVER, I am still a paying customer and they are in business to make money. The greeter was polite but spoke nearly no English. She waved her hand and said "he" will help you. Your glasses will take one month! Well the young man gave no indication that he was planning to get up and come to the desk to help anybody, let alone me. After an unacceptable wait, I headed for the door and said maybe later. He threw his hands up in the air as if ignoring a customer, I might add, the ONLY customer in the store is completely normal and acceptable. Now I'm going to chalk this up to cultural differences to be nice, but the next business didn't seem to have any problem with service and courtesy for their English speaking customers. Okay I was going to write a bad review because they were taking a while....but then the guy came back and has been super awesome and helpful. Plus their 20/20 program saves you TONS. I got a $100 off on my contacts and today my glasses (with clear shield non glare) were going to be $338 but you get half off on your first pair with the 20/20 program so I got them for 169!!!!
