Dr. Ashley Diep-Lam was very professional and skilled during my eye exam. She addressed my concerns more than any eye doctor I've had before. When I told past providers about having dry eyes, most of them didn't bother doing much beyond suggesting eye drops. Dr. Diep-Lam actually tried to exam my eyes and took time to ensure that any abnormalities seen were benign. The office made it easy to make an appointment, apply my insurance, and to check in. I will definitely be coming back for my next exam. read more

They are great, I do my annual exam every year, and the main reason I go i because of Polette, she is helpful, professional and knowledgable. Looking forward for my new pair of classes ! read more

All the reviews are really good so I decided to come here after years of having lasik. I started a masters program where I am on the computer more than 12 hours a day and came to find out about blue light glasses or anything to lessen eye strain. The women working at the office are very nice and I was quickly attended however I am going to be honest and say I was not happy with my visit. When I was being seen by the doctor it was a very fast and kind of confusing ordeal. During the part of the exam where they usually say "1.... or 2? She was going way too fast and it was confusing not only me, but it seems herself as well. She would also say "1?? better?? 2?" and would be flipping between 2 different visions back and forth so I could not tell which was 1 or 2 by the time she switched again. We ended up having to do a lot of slides 2-3 times because we were both getting confused as she was rushing. I also had a boarder-line high IOP. As someone in the medical field I tried to ask more about it, but the doctor did not answer my questions and said it is not something to worry about. However I was 1 point away from being out of range and am young. I am disappointed options (even if just lifestyle modifications) were not discussed or what this could mean for the future. She also made me extremely worried as she took her time to look at my eye under magnification and I could tell she was examining something, but she did not communicate what it was. When I asked what she was looking for she said "it's nothing" but when I asked if I should be worried (because she spent quite a few minutes looking at my right and then left eye to compare then dilated my eyes to get a better view) she said "its nothing right now.... well... maybe when youre older." like.. what?! not only do I have no idea what she meant or what she was trying to get a better look at, but the response of maybe when youre older i might have something is so disheartening to hear. It also completely scared me to hear that response. No discussion of what she was seeing, no mention of prevention, no referral to someone who could tell me what she was even trying to look at (she couldnt put a name to what she was seeing so maybe she couldn't tell what was off or didn't know enough about it?), no talk of how to fix high IOP, nothing. I left feeling just confused and scared about my eye health and had no answers. I have no clue if I should see an ophthalmologist. The glasses selection was good. definitely more designer than not. my entire total came out to be like 500ish. i like my glasses they have helped a ton in helping me see the computer better (they added a bit of magnification which is great so i dont have to be on top of my computer to see it, but i also wasn't explained that these glasses are not meant for universal use so I felt dumb when I called and said things look very blurry through the glasses but this is normal as it is meant for only up close work). I will say try your glasses on well bc my only regret is that these often get caught in my hair as it has a metal leg. read more

I've been coming here for years. Dr Ashley is very pleasant, thorough and patient. With all due respect though, Paulette feels like the pillar of this office. She is wonderfully attentive. It is her attitude and service that keeps me happy to come back here, although all the employees at this location are very professional. read more

I highly recommend Roth Eye Care! Dr Ashley Roth answered every one of my questions with patience and detail. I appreciated her thorough and educational approach. The office uses new technology that I had never seen before. I loved the way Dr Ashley explained how my eye looked and worked. Also- no air puff! I'll definitely be back! read more

This is a great group providing quality care. During my first appointment here, Dr. Roth was being shadowed by a student doctor. The staff members were all very polite and professional, and I was asked permission first before the student was introduced. My personal experience has been that if a student doctor is present at a medical facility, the attending doctor is usually very competent and willing to take the time to teach his/her patients comprehensively about his findings, and that was certainly the case here. In addition, Dr. Roth's group was able to fit me in last-minute for a full check-up, even though I was a new patient. They have extended hours that make it a little easier to schedule appointments if you have a full-time job. I've found my new eye doctor! read more

First time going to Eyedesire in South Beach and saw Dr David Roth for a long needed eye exam. Beautiful store and felt I had a thorough exam with many options to choose from. I highly recommend! read more

Both Ashley and David are incredible. They are professional, knowledgeable and so enthusiastic about what they do. They follow up to ensure that you are doing well, they are invested in their client's well being. Unquestionably the best optometrists in South Florida. read more

Competent and to the point. The staff was not overly friendly. The equipment seems slightly old compared to other eye doctors I have visited. Frame choices are okay but limited. Apparently the Miami Beach office has a greater selection and is probably a little more up to date than the downtown location. read more

Dr. Roth and his daughter are both professional and a pleasure to deal with. They know what they'e doing and get you through your eye exam quickly and efficiently. They actually make it kind of fun. R.E.C. carries the latest designer frames and contact lenses. You won't find bargains here, but they do accept VSP and other vision plans, so you only pay what your plan doesn't cover. What's nice is that they have all of the color contact lens samples in stock, so you get to try as many as you want. The difficult part is choosing only one. They also sent me home with a free sample set of lenses that I can actually wear for an entire month, to make sure that I like them and feel comfortable in them all day. Saturday appointments are a huge plus. Grab some lunch at Bali Cafe or Centro Taco while in the area. read more

I'm putting down roots so I went for my first appointment and came out having a pleasant experience. I arrived to my appointment to be greeted and seen promptly. It's right off the people mover so getting there is convenient if you live close by. They don't make you sit around feeling helpless and they don't waste your time-all good points in a practice. Dr. Roth is fantastic. I felt like I'd been going there for years. He picks up on your interests quickly and even your way of talking. I felt comfortable and the procedure was fast. I can tell I'm gonna like that guy! Oh, and bonus points for an outgoing staff. One woman plays dance/pop music so it's like a party up in there! I scheduled an appointment for my fiance and I'm confident he'll enjoy the office as much as I did. read more

Roth Eye Care saved my vacation!!! I flew into Miami the night before I left for a two week cruise, and realized I forgot my contact lenses. We were headed to Central America to *see* wild life, so this was set to be a vacation-ruiner. Roth Eye Care was down the road from my hotel, so I gave it a try, and I'm so glad I did! I showed up crazed and desperate before they opened, but Paulette was completely professional and willing to help. She let my husband and I sit in the office waiting for my provider to confirm my prescription and went and verified she had the samples I needed while we waited. The very second the prescription came through, she was ready with my lenses, which allowed me to see everything on my vacation and have a great time! I cannot describe how stressed I was this morning, but Paulette was an absolute angel - I could never thank her enough for how kind and helpful she was to me that day. If this is the way they treat walk-ins who live out of state that they know they're not getting a dime from, I can't even imagine the kind of outstanding service they provide to their regular customers. They are willing to and do go above and beyond at Roth Eye Care, and I'd recommend them to anyone in the Miami area. read more

Smart girl over here (*sarcasm*). I went on a trip to Miami without taking my contacts. When I realized this, I hurriedly googled "where can I get contacts in store" and landed on Roth Eye Care's Yelp page. I called my local optometrist to fax over my contact lens prescription (has to be not expired) to Roth, and Taz took care of getting me contacts once she received the prescription. This was done over the phone, and all I had to do was walk over to Roth and pick them up! Thank you very much for making up for my inadequacy and letting me explore Miami wearing contacts! read more

I have been going to DR. Roth for several years and can say he is an excellent Optomologist. Paulette on his staff always goes above and beyond for her customers!!! I would never think of going with anyone else. Paulette Thank you for everything! read more

We were in Miami on vacation, and my father managed to scratch his cornea somehow. He was in a bit of pain and his vision was blurred in that eye. Being from out of town, we weren't real sure what to do. We found this place, and Dr. Ashley was fantastic. She took great care of my father in an emergency, no appointment situation. She made the time to see him twice in two days to make sure he was ok. We were all very grateful. I wasn't there for the appointments, but my father was very impressed with Ashley's competence and her kind demeanor. Highly recommended from my point of view. read more

I stepped on my glasses a few hours before my cruise. I was desperate for a fix. I figured Id have to wait bit the door was open when I arrived early. The two woman were so friendly - so respectful - so helpful - that I was very much impressed - maybe even taken aback. Paulette took care of me - and called me about an hour later that they were ready. My frames are rare - she said they were beyond repair (which anyone could see) and believe it or not she managed to do some fixes and they worked fine for the cruise. I am so grateful - they could have easily taken advantage of my emergency and I would not have cared - but the fee was nominal and she refused my tip. Highly recommended. read more

I was in town and needed contacts in a hurry. Paulette and Taz were life savers. I can't thank them enough. This place SAVED MY VACATION.

Dr. Roth is thorough and professional. The process is always quick and enjoyable with minimal wait time. The only negative is my commute through Miami-Dade traffic to reach the office. read more

I got a few prescriptions filled for glasses that never seemed right. My first impression was the office itself is very old and seems outdated. The customer service was very averaged. The last straw was I got a prescription filled for a pair glasses. I noticed that the frame was damaged when I picked it up. I told the sales lady; there was then a group huddle with the rest of the staff. She told me she will talk to her boss and get back to me.A few days passed, no return call. I called to find out the status...nothing. It's been about 3 mths now and still waiting on that call. Will never return read more

I was charged an astronomical amount of money just to have my lenses replaced, even after the so called "discount" applied. I was sent to the Miami Beach office for pickup and fitting. For some reason, they were unhappy about me being there and was not a pleasant overall experience. They made me feel like I wasn't supposed to be there. About a month after wearing the new lenses, I noticed when looking in my car rearview mirror that the lenses were dark. They had applied the Transitions effect that I told them I specifically did not want. I have no idea whether they charged me for it or not. After about a year and a half of wearing the lenses, they have yellowed and one of the coatings has started to peel off making seeing through them very unpleasant. I will never be using them again. I've had a much better experience with Flagler Eye Care and Visionworks. read more

I scheduled online. I missed the a call from the front desk, and the voice message, advising I had to reschedule. But when I arrived the Dr. welcomed me and luckily I was accommodated the same day. The service was excellent and efficient. I highly recommend Roth Eye Care, both the front desk and the Dr. are very professional and efficient. read more

I am very busy, like many of us today are, I didn't have time to go to the eye doctor until I couldn't deny any more that my prescription had changed. I was dreading taking half a day off to take care of it. I called Dr. Roth's office and got an appointment the next day. I walked in and out in 45 min!!! With my new prescription, a new trial pair of contacts and orders for 2 other trial pairs to see which ones would be more comfortable on my eyes, in addition to ordering my glasses! I'm so happy and my day didn't feel like it was interrupted. thank you Dr Roth. what a great experience. read more

Dr Ashely Roth and her staff are great ! I appreciate the attentive service and attention to detail. I definitely recommend them 100%

Their service is fast, friendly, convenient and efficient. They use mostly computerized equipment, which is a testament to their maintaining current standards related to digital healthcare documentation. Both Paulette and the young lady at the front desk are always pleasant and very friendly. Both are a blessing to the vision care field and to the office they service. Thank you!! read more

Dr Roth and staff were very punctual and professional. Honored my appointment time so well, I was literally sitting with the Dr after arrival paperwork was completed with in 10 mins. The staff explained all my options under my insurance plan and asked me appropriate questions regarding my usage for potential frames. Easy peezey, in and out in less than 1 hr. I ripped my contact right before I had to depart for a cruise. Paulette went above and beyond to get my prescription sent over from my eye doctor back in NY (mind you this was a Monday morning and my eye doctor was slow to open up and cooperate). She provided me with sample pairs of contacts so that I could see on the cruise and was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She said that she was unable to take a tip that I tried to give her. She just genuinely cared and was great. A+++ customer service. read more

I highly recommend. The staff was professional and polite. The practice is accessible and easy to make an appointment for. I found both doctors to be knowledgeable and up-to-date on eye health. This is a true eye doctor, not merely a "shop." There was a focus on eye health, past, present, and future. I found the attention to detail, medical knowledge, and care for the patients to be impressive. I would happily recommend this group to anyone. They also have a nice selection of glasses and offered me several options for contacts for my dry eyes. I will be back next year, as they accept my insurance. read more

This office is incredibly disorganized. Orders are forgotten, phone calls are not returned, and the staff is generally incapable and often rude. This doctor has two offices, but don't expect any coordination between the two. I tried this doctor for two years, but I will never return. read more

I had forgotten my contacts at home in Texas, and I was as blind as a bat. Luckily these friendly people greeted me with such genuine care and warmth. It's rare to find such an accommodating eye business. This store did not have an impersonal attitude of a chain and did everything they could to listen and cater to my needs when I needed a few lenses while traveling. I would definitely recommend Roth. I came in from New Orleans for work in Miami and tore one of my contacts. I called several different places, who were unwilling to help me out and give me a spare contact without having to pay for a doctor's visit. Not only did they not charge me, they gave me two sets in case it happened again. And the staff there was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place! read more
