First off, this is all my experience/my opinion. I was there in middle of May this year. First you go to the Eye Doctor which with my insurance is free but ForEyes charges you 39.- for the use of a special machine or something? Crazy? Then the Dr. was good but she takes several different people at once. Kind of like at a salon. And you have to sit and wait a long time. Other than that Dr. seems okay. Reception nice. Once that is finally done you go over to glasses portion. They have a wide variety. They were very helpful explained pricing with lenses and frames with each different frame I might one, that was a help in deciding which one to get. They applied discounts I had. Very helpful. Called when done for me to pick up. The only other negative thing I might mention is that it is hard to call into that place, you can never reach Dr. voicemail is full. Takes days. I found it in Frances who is the main person and sometimes the only person at Dadeland For Eyes Optical, the most courteous, helpful human been, I have met in an service store. Because, I am senior, she took her time to come to my car pick up my glasses and then return them back to me the same way, not once but various times. I so much appreciate her time to do this, that even if my insurance would not cover my glasses, I will continue to come to her. We have gotten glasses and contacts here for years but they recently have appalling service!! Orders are incorrect. Google reorts opening time as 10am. I srrived at 10:15. There was an elderly customer standing outside and the sole employee at her desk. I knocked repeatedly and she did not have the courtesy to come to the door. When I returned, she had a line of customers and had no common courtesy to welcome the customers or even acknowledge us. The man in front said he had been standing there unacknowledged for over 30 minutes. When he got to the desk, they had misordered. I hope the elderly lady left on the sidewalk for 45 minutes with no apology or courtesy or clarification is ok. Our family will take care of our eyecare elsewhere. read more

Ordering glasses was the easy part, picking them up at this location was a major fail. Not only are they significantly understaffed for the amount of people going ON A WEEKEND but they don't even acknowledge your existence when you walk in. Every patron here waiting on service was grumpy and angry. Who can blame us when you walk in and not even a "Hello" "what are you here for" "please be patient and have a seat there are others waiting." You won't find ANY of that in this location. You just get to stand, sit or pace and stew as everyone in the store ignores you. Then when you say something they tell you go ask someone else they can help you. Well after standing here for 15 minutes maybe you should have asked me what I was here for and I wouldn't have written this review. And the frames were scratched to boot! read more

My Dad that is 59 years old had a tree branch that struck his eye and caused a severe infection in which he couldn't see out of his right eye. I took him to see Dr. Rishi Shah and he quickly knew exactly what treatment was necessary to save his eye. The condition my Dad had was severe Uveitis and Dr. Shah treated him everyday for a week and thankfully he was able to make a 100% recovery. My Dad is extremely grateful that he was in the hands of Dr. Shah. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field and the staff was very courteous. I would recommend anyone looking for a well trained Optometrist to visit him. I was actually so impressed with him that I decided to get my eye exam here and purchased 3 frames! I walked in without an appointment and Andrea greeted my sister and I A's soon as we entered the door. Although she was wearing a mask, we could see she had a welcoming smile on her face. She let us check out all the frame options, without hounding us. She helped us set apart the ones we liked, then sat with us and answered all my questions. She went above and beyond checking on all the possible insurance coverage, promotions, and discounts to go e me the best price options. She documented everything and printed out all the options for me to take home and consider. She was even kind enough to hold a por of frames I liked that have been discontinued. I have not seen such exceptional service at ANY business in years!!!! Andrea was so kind, helpful, and gave us her undivided attention the entire time. I will be returning to this store from now on. Never had a problem with For Eyes Optical in the Dadeland location. Good prices, great service. An optometrist I really liked, Good exam, I felt, when I did have my glasses made there, they were always right, Even on glasses I got elsewhere, they made free adjustments or re- dyed the lenses as the shading wears out, They were close, took a very reasonable time to make glasses, No long wait for appointment or wait when I got there..all in all. Their only fault might have been in frame selection. The fact that the optometrist, since retired looked deeply into my eyeball one day and told me that I really needed to see a cardiologist post haste and I did, averting what might have escalated into a nasty situation. For that I am immensely grateful. Problem was... I did NOT expect to hear about what the doctor saw in my eye and be questioned about it by an at-the-time, co-worker. Seemed that said doctor was talking to a family member which he assumed was okay. (it wasn't ). Beyond that, he referred to me by NAME in a store full of people , one of which was my co-worker! How unprofessional can you get? Needless to say, I never went back.And now I am more than happy with Cohen Optical in Dadeland. (see review) As I said, that optometrist is retired and I have no reason to assume that For Eyes has not reverted back to the store I enjoyed going to. read more

This is a review for the Dr.'s Office in the For Eyes store only. Not for the frame dept. as I did not interact with them and seem to be a separate business. The basics: It was easy to make an appointment on short notice. The doctor and the assistant were both very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They were also very efficient with all the eye imaging machines. I was in and out of the office with a new prescription in about an hour. Appointments for contacts run between $115- $135 and they will give you a percentage off if you have an affiliated health insurance. read more

A year or two ago, they were bought out by a corporation and prices have gone through the roof and the service is poor. I've started going here in the last year or so. I originally came with my 2 young nephews because they were on summer break and needed their yearly eye exam since they both wear glasses. The entire staff is most pleasant. However they've recently hired some new young and inexperienced sales reps and unfortunately their inexperience shows! While I have been there, I've noticed the new hires ask a lot of questions of the more senior and experienced staff. They've even messed up my order twice! I recommend dealing directly with the management at this location until the new hires get their act together. read more

I have used this company twice and have had issues with them on both occasions. Do not understand how an employee who is placing your order cannot read an eye prescription correctly. So a 5-7 working day delivery turns into an apology by the manager, a re-order of my glasses and obviously my wasted time to pick them up. Another week goes by and no glasses. Mind you, this was for a simple pair of reading glasses. The manager can only apologize but makes no offer to make their mishandling good. Instead, I am told that I am not the only customer having similar issues with deliveries. The only thing they got right was processing my immediate refund which you may understand was my only choice after such bad service. Lost me to the competition for good. A day after leaving the store I received a call from the manager to once again apologize and to see how they could remedy my disappointing experience. I am so disappointed in my experience here. I ordered my item more than a month ago and nothing. Every time I would call to get an update they would say we need to look into it and we will get back to you however no one would ever call me back. The only moment that they finally paid attention to me was when I asked for the costumer service number at that moment they said "oh it seems as if your order was done wrong" I then called costumer service and they confirmed that they had placed the order wrong and would process it for me 2 min later costumer service called me and said that the pincrest office processed the order while I was talking to costumer service. I just had a very bad experience at this office. Dr. Rishi seems to be a nice guy; however, the staff was never clear that I was stepping into an out of network office. After the eye examination (which was good), I was handled the bill. I could not believe it, The receptionist explained that the reason of the charge was because I had requested to have contact lenses instead of just regular eye glasses. Even at that point, I was not explained that the reason of the charge was because I was in an out of network optometrist (I was explained by my insurance later that day). When I called Dr. Rishi and asked him to reconsider the charge, he said he would not. He stated that he knew that I was not going to come back and he was ok with it. Relationships are everything. I was disappointed that he did not reconsider the bill. He is very young and full of energy and a good doctor; however, he has not quite understood yet that relationships in this community are very important especially in business.. read more

The only thing I'm disappointed in, is the renovation of the store, the old layout was better and more welcoming. The present one makes it look like an eyeglass depot. I had been buying my glasses exclusively from For Eyes in the past 22 years, but no more: In the past two years I purchased six pairs of glasses, each with RayBan frames and each had anti-glare coatings (expensive!). About a year ago, one of the pairs, the least worn pair, began to lose its anti-glare coating, clearly a poor application or manufacturing process (the other five pairs are still good). I took the glasses to the store manager, who originally sold the glasses to me, and she agreed that it was the anti-glare coating that was coming off and that it shouldn't be. I asked them to simply repair the anti-glare coating. She said she had to go to the district manager and that I would hear back the next day. After three days I called back and I was told that the regional manager would have to make the decision and a week later I heard back from the store telling me that the company had made the decision that they would only offer me a 30% discount if I bought a new pair. This is totally unacceptable, especially because they clearly had failed in their initial anti-glare coating on this pair and they often offer 50% off coupons on line! This company has been on a decided downhill slide since the new ownership took over. I do NOT recommend this company since the new management chose to cheapen their products and switch to decidedly subpar labs to do their optical work, I now have experienced FAR better results, prices and customer service from its on-line competitors. You are likely to find far better products, prices and service with other companies now! read more

I love going to this For Eyes because they are very helpful and efficient. I love the fact that they don't have to dilate your eyes for an eye exam. I have gone twice and both times I was attended by Cecilia. She was awesome! She gave me her full attention and helped my indecisive self pick out the perfect glasses for me. Be careful with this place , the doctors that do the eye exam at the store are terrible and the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I had two different doctors give me an eye exam and each gave me a different prescription and I still can't see well. Besides this my appointment was at 9am and the doctors and staff showed up to work late and didn't open the office until almost 930am. read more

Very good customer service, but they have no idea what theyre doing. They have 3 different doctors. I was in a situation where I had to go several times a week to get new contacts fitted every day (because they couldn't do their job right) and every day I got a different doctor which slowed down the process even more. The last day I went (6 different contact lenses later) the RECEPTIONIST ended up making a recommendation for contacts that finally fit just right. I don't trust the prescription they gave me so Ive made an appointment with another doctor. This service was a waste of my money! read more

Excellent service from the moment you walk in. As a former customer of LensCrafters I was actually surprised with how pleasant a trip to an optical could be. I was greeted by Priscilla and Frances, the store manager. Priscilla attended me and helped me readjust the glasses I bought a few months back, she then offered me a pair of sun glasses at a discount and had wonderful taste and skill in choosing glasses that best fit my face. I told her I'd have to come back another day when I had the funds to purchase and she was kind and understanding even though I'm sure she works on commission and needs to make sales.
