We are regular customer for the past 5 years but things had been changed in 2023. When you walk in here there is no greetings like hi hello how can I help you do you have appointment or not. They were two one at the back table and one on the left side and it is horrible they just sit there and until we figured it out they are no servicing someone after 10 mins we went up and they said we are late for our appointment and can't take us. Gwen's big attitude was rusted and unacceptable so does the other African american lady. The manager Jasmine was not there and they refused to give me her business card. I won't come back here again what is wrong with this company that hiring the wrong people and don't forget that we are paying their salary. No customer service and no greeting. At the end no o policy and no greetings.

The glasses were cheap . I purchased Three pairs of glasses and all of the arms on the glasses broke. When I expressed my concerns I got backlash and attitude. Even over the phone I called customer service to complain , I spent about thirty minutes with the young lady. Two of my glasses broke , the other the screws keep coming out~ so now I don't have glasses and will have to buy more. I have identical frames, Same brand and style broke in the same place. . Customer service said they created a ticket but management never reach back to me. I purchased three pairs of glasses in one year. I hand intended to patronize this business more, however this isn't satisfactory . They said that Roxanne Alvarez was suppose to reach out to me. Ticket # 350207 I called and come to find out they had closed out my case without even speaking with me. The arms of both of My glasses breaking is a manufactured defect. The first time I called I spent almost forty five minutes and I just knew it would be handled.. obviously I was wrong. Calling this time was even more frustrating, the rep was robotic.. So I'm finished ~ I would never patronize this business ~ I will buy another three pairs of glasses from companies who values their customer complaints. my family and I will give our money where it's appreciated.. You guys need to do better and be clear and up front of the insurance we can purchase, because that was never discussed. If so I would have certainly got it'.

Worse experience in years. First the good parts: 1. Easy to make an appointment, i called and was able to meet the doctor one day later. 2. Easy to comminute to the south loop location, free parking. The bad parts: 1. I was planning to reuse my old frame, which is completely legit, however, the salesperson won't accept it because of one small scratch on one the eyeglass temple, until i promised I will be fully responsible for any consequences. 2. The store staff immediately handed me a bill of $400 (after insurance deduction) without even asking me if I had any preference. They just made all decisions for me and expected me to pay whatever they choose, and i did not even know what type of lens im getting! I have had eyeglasses and contact lens for more than two decades and i know what i need and don't, in my past experience with 8+ optics stores I never experience something like this. My eyes are not completely blind (sphere -2.5 ) and i don't need the fancy high index glasses, and I don't see great differences between "premium" anti-scratch & "platinum" anti-glare coating and the standard versions. It was another hard and unnecessary negotiation with the salesperson before I can choose what I want. 3. The store staff talked in a way that was hard for other people to catch, I'm not complaining about the accent, but the speed and clarity of her speaking. I'm not sure if she did it on purples so people don't understand what exactly they are getting. 4. The worse part: the doctor assigned me the wrong contact lens. Just read the picture, For left eye axis 90 on the prescription and 180 on the actual contact lens. I am contacting a malpractice attorney now. Conclusion: if you are not in a hurry to get eye exam and don't mind drive 30 minutes more to other stores, not recommend. Careless doctor, unprofessional and rude sales staff. The visionworks store at south loop is a shame to other stores in this country.

Anti glare deterioration!

Popovic was a pleasant reminder to me that there are still doctors that actually do genuinely care for their patients.

Dr. Patel saved my vision!…read more I've been going to Red Eye for many years. The service has always been good, and I like the photos they take of the inside of the eye to look for changes year-over-year. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. On March 8th I took a blow to the head. Seemingly nothing much. It hurt. It was annoying. I got on with my day. But, the next evening I noticed a flash of light kept popping up in the corner of my eye. A quick Goog told me it was likely an issue with my retina (none of the usual "it could be a cold, or cancer--just the one thing). I made an appointment online and Dr. Patel took a photo inside my eye. There was nothing to be seen. However, 2 weeks later as I sat at my desk minding my business, I saw a black wavy line in the corner of my eye. Something that moved with the liquid in my eye. Moments later, that black line was many fine black lines spider-webbing across my field of vision. In another minute, it was gone. I emailed Red Eye to see if I should panic now or sleep on it and then panic, not really expecting a reply since it was close to 5, and within a few minutes Dr. Patel called. She had me come in at 10am the next day, HER DAY OFF, 4 HOURS BEFORE HER FLIGHT. I was worried I was interfering with her vacation, especially if it was nothing, but she insisted. And it was not nothing. My retina had torn. Nothing could have been done to prevent it, but now that it happened, she acted quickly. She called and got me an appointment at Chicago Retina the same day. When I got there, the ophthalmologist said the tear could have become a far more serious detachment in a matter of days or even hours. I was able to get laser surgery that day to prevent further tearing. If Dr. Patel hadn't contacted me immediately, insisted I come in, sacrificed her time off...lots of "ifs" could have resulted in a delay in treatment that could have led to much more serious damage. I'm so grateful to her!
