I got my new plastic frames about 2 months ago. First time I went back to have them fitted. The 2nd time I went back to have them fitted, the lady that did the fitting grumbled the entire. I.e., "I can't adjust them anymore". She rolled her eyes wen she thought I wasn't looking. My glasses still don't fit right. I won't EVER go back to vision works. The customer service has gone down hill. They treated me like a 2nd class person. read more

Horrible place to purchase glasses. We have an excellent vision plan that gives my son one pair of designer frames with all the add-ons covered and this place offered the cheapest selection and didn't add anti-scratch, transition, or anything our plan covers. His frame fell apart in less than 6 months! I have called 2x to have our script mailed because we live in a different town and they can't even do that right! If you want quality service avoid this place at all costs! We will never return there read more

If I could give this place a 0, I would! I was in dire need of my perscription for my glasses and the service representative hung up on me. They couldn't get into their OWN system to give me my MEDICAL information. I had asked them for an ETA and she could not answer me. I had my DOCTOR call back and they were able to obtain it just fine! I do not appreciate passive aggression for incompetence! Their associates should at least BE TRAINED and have good customer service skills prior to starting. Absolutely disgusting and I am now at LensCrafters :) they even called back and got the information for me. No wonder why this was two stars hahaha. This was on 9/2/2022. I have frequented the Mayfair Plaza vision works (Attleboro, MA) location for several years. Did not necessarily have a bad experience until today (8/1/2022). I went in to have a contact lens follow-up and order contact lens. We ended up using my David Insurance for the contact lens. The price of my lens was (with Ins.) approx. $193.90 for 2 boxes. They also knew that I needed glasses as well, due to the change in my prescription. They have their 60% off retail special for glasses once you buy contacts. Without insurance, and using the 60% off, the glasses would cost me $423.98 (Ouch!). I went home, skeptical of the prices they gave me. I called them back to see the prices of my contacts WITHOUT insurance and the Price of Glasses WITH Insurance. I also priced my contacts online with 1-800-Contacts. See Below: Contacts (With Ins.) - $193.90 Contacts (Without Ins.) - $400.00 Contacts (1-800-Contacts) - $250.00 Glasses (With Ins.) - $135.00 Glasses (Without Ins.) - $423.98 Do the math. Their markups are enormous. Instead of telling me the best bang-for-my-insurance-buck would be to use the insurance to purchase glasses, she was more than happy to use my insurance on the contacts and let me spend the $423.98 out-of-my-pocket. When I called to cancel my contact order, she did so with an "Okay, thank you, Goodbye, Click". Did not ask if I had questions...just CLICK. Luckily, I live down the street and paid them a visit to ensure that the transaction was indeed canceled. When I confronted the employee, she did not see an issue with her conduct. I also pointed out the huge markups, to which I received a blank stare. Now since they utilized my insurance, they have to contact the insurance to have it re-instated (2-4 weeks). BOTTOM LINE -Do your homework before you go here -DO NOT make purchases on the spot -Take your prescription home and make online comparisons -Know the actual prices they charge for both with and W/O insurance -If you have glasses & contacts, you most likely will be better off paying for contacts out of pocket online and using Ins. for glasses. I used to love this place but it's gone severely downhill over the past few years. You're now forced to get a dilation at each exam. I've been lucky to have the same optometrist for 2 years & he's great, but there was quite a bit of turnover prior to him. Lots of eyewear choices but I'm considering going elsewhere for my exam due to forced dilation. read more

If I could give less stars I would!! My son went in for a contact lens fitting, I waited in the car. Son came out with no prescription or instructions, I went in to ask about the prescription, and a very angry little man yelled across the store that "of course, he doesn't get a prescription, it was a fitting" in a tone and manner that basically said my son was an idiot. Unprofessional, rude, condescending, and mean! The woman at the front desk had a regional manager pin on and softly apologized as if she was afraid of the angry little man. God help us; we now have to go back in a week before we can get the prescription. Is that even legal? Will get the prescription hopefully and never will go back. read more

We started going here recently (switched from LensCrafters) and we love it here already!! We had such a pleasant experience with the employees. Cathy helped my mother pick out some new glasses and was so patient and helpful! She knew exactly the style my mom was looking for and showed her multiple pairs and was very honest with her opinions! Rosemary helped with the payment process and she was super kind and patient and was able to complete all of our requests! Overall everyone we encountered today was friendly and welcoming and took their time with us which made me feel that they definitely care about their customers! A+ customer service! I've been going to Pearle Vision for the last 6-7 yrs. After changing jobs at a new hospital and covid hitting, I finally got an appt for an eye exam on a Friday. Received my eye exam, but because i have new insurance since my last exam, there were some confusion to new coverage. I decided to go across the street to Vision Works to order my glasses the next day Saturday. No problem they said, we accept your insurance and we offer 40% discount. Great I picked out my glasses and paid the balance with my extended plan coverage $349.67 . After I had paid, the employee informed me i should have my glasses within 2wks. Shocked it would take so long, I inquired why 2 weeks. I was then told because they send out to the lab and no glasses facility does onsite any longer. Well the 2 weeks came and left without so much as a call. After 4 phone calls to Vision works, 3 wks later they informed me my frame had been lost, and I will need to come back to pick out another pair. I was truly livid that no one had reached out to me about my lost frame, plus they returned my call at Friday afternoon after 5pm. I went in on Saturday morning to picked a new frame. Although I was told on Friday that they will expedite my new glasses, the same person now tells me it will take another 2-3 wks to get my glasses. I said no i cannot wait for another 2-3 wks, while you email the lab and wait for a response so please cancel and refund my money. I then went back across the street to Pearle vision to see if they can help. My Insurance was now accepted and my glasses ordered same style and cost $1.35 less than Vision works. That was Saturday, and Today Tuesday I got a call from Pearle Vision that my glasses are ready for pick up. That's 2 business days later. ( Glasses were not expedited either ) Will never ever use Vision works again. Nothing but Crap service. read more

I have been back 3 times to adjust my glasses. Two times I went during the week and once on the weekend. During the week I was there at 10:00 when they open. The First time I went, I knew the glasses still weren't right, but knew the older woman was getting impatient with me, so I left thinking I will try them, and see how they felt. Two weeks later I went back, same older woman was there, and when she found out what I needed, she sucked her teeth, went to the other computer and asked my name, acting like I was bothering her. I said, if you are busy, I can come back another time! She said no wats your name etc. Between picking out my glasses, and the adjustments I have dealt with her four times. I will NEVER go back there. Worse customer service I have ever seen. She is rude, and that nasty look on her face when she had to wait on me I will never forget. Update: Glasses are still not right. I decided to go to Visionworks in Attleboro. What a difference. They were very helpful, pleasant and took time and listened to my concerns. That will be my store from now on. The westgate mall Brockton is the worst worst place in my whole life. I got new glasses and my husband picked them up. It was too big and keep sliding down so I went. (I wore only one time) In the front entrance, I had my bags on my hands this damn glasses keep falling down so I put those on the top of my head. (For the first time). The clerk said it's big because I put them on my head!!!! Are you kidding me? She kept lecturing me how to wear glasses and don't put them on my head. I was annoyed but I had to go work. So got fixed and left. I wore again at work that hurt my left ear so so bad and found one leg is toward inside the other leg outside and not straight line. Totally unbalanced legs. I went there again. Another lady said she is only fixing where I said it's hurts, she is not going to fix unbalanced legs that it might causes the problem and that customer asks to fix it! What a great customer survive!! She was rude to me but I tried once again to fix those legs, she ignored and said it was my fault cause I took them out with my one hand, not two hand. Why everything have to be my problem? It's my 2nd time and it's brand new glasses ! You have to apply some heat to adjust those legs. What did I do wrong it choose them in the first place. She didn't fix it kept saying try them on if that ear is fine. I left and ask my husband help. I don't want to think they treat like a shit is I am Asian and little young woman. He is white. We went together they are 100% different people to my husband. She smiled at him, fixed whatever he said. No additional comments or blame me. Yeah!! Double attack! racism and sexism ! Made an appointment because my dog chewed my glasses. I did not know you needed a prescription less than one year old to get new glasses. I entered the store and was told "stand on that rug)" no hello or how are you can you wait there. I asked if they could get my prescription from my current pair and I was told "that's not how this works" I told the person I had my last exam and my last set of glasses in this location and was told "your not in the system" I repeated that my current glasses were purchased in this location and was told this is the new system you must be in the old system.I asked about booking a eye exam and was told yea we're booking in March now.I left, being treated like a 10 year old is not where I want to spend my money a notice on the web site that you need a current prescription less than a year old would have helped when making the appointment but a little customer service instead of being talked down to would have gone a long way to mitigating that oversight. read more

BEWARE....they have sketchy sales tactics. I went in to purchase two pairs of glasses using their buy one, get one free promotion. When ordering my glasses, the saleslady only asked me one question, if I wanted thinner lenses, and then automatically charged me for their most expensive lenses with the most expensive UV and scratch guard coating without telling me or explaining the less expensive options. When she told me the price, I assumed that was my only option because she hadn't explained that I had any other choices. Upon realizing that there were less expensive options, I called the manager who explained that this is their sales strategy. They automatically give people the most expensive lenses and coatings if you have a strong prescription without reviewing other options or trying to make a sale. Only if the customer complains about the price do they explain the other choices. When I expressed my concern that it seemed like a deceitful sales tactic, the manager repeatedly told me this is their strategy. The manager did offer to change my lenses to the cheaper options which would have saved me almost $200. I have worn glasses for 20 years and I have never had anyone do this Whenever I have purchased glasses in the past, the salesperson reviewed my options and explained to me what lenses made the most sense. I will not be returning to Visionworks again. read more

Gave them 5 stars for their customer service, efficiency, accommodations (with COVID-19), cleanliness and so on. Jules and I spoke on the phone a couple of time prior to my appointment to figure out my insurance and every time she was polite, courteous and made me smile/laugh which is important through these times. When I walked in, I was asked to stay on the mat near the door, ask a few brief questions regarding travel and coronavirus exposure and my temp was taken. They had hand sanitizer and gloves for me to use. Jules then assured me that she was going to go sanitize my waiting area while I filled out a form. That overall made me feel very comfortable in knowing that they were taking this pandemic seriously. I waited like one minute before Dr. Mukherjee greeted me. He as well was very professional and explained everything every step of the way and frequently asked if I had any questions. I'm only here visiting doing a travel contract for nursing. Not a bad place. My glasses broke and so I needed to get new ones soon (super glue will only hold for so long). They made an appointment for me the same week that I called, which was really good for me since I have not had a eye exam in a long time. The eye doctor was taking appointments for next month. They took my insurance info and had everything all set when I came in. I only had to wait for one or two minutes before the doctor saw me, the exam was pretty quick and easy. A new pair of basic glasses was covered by my insurance, and the lady told me how to find the clearly marked fames that were covered. If I only wanted to replace my broken glasses this would be a 4 star review, ie, really solid, but just did not wow me. I hit 3 stars because I also wanted to get a 2nd pair of glasses. They have this buy one get one free offer, but my first pair did not count because it was covered by my insurance. So instead they said they could do 50% off the one pair of glasses I would buy. I really liked that offer, and even though I did not get the 2nd pair yet, I may go back and get the 2nd pair I was looking at. I know they wanted it to sound like they were giving me this amazing deal, but It just felt like they were flat out admitting all the stuff in the shop is overpriced. After the discount the price for the 2nd pair is only a little more than other places... so not that bad, still, It would be nice if things were just priced honestly instead of bring out a huge gaff coupon or special. Like I owe them a debt for dropping the ridiculous numbers down to competitive price. Bottom line, nice place, nice people, watch the numbers. read more

Def pissed off!!!!!!... called visionworks yesterday to see if my glasses were ready.. the lady said yes but give it an hour..i said ok I will just come tomorrow...4/27/2018... I left work today at 11:00am to get my glasses.... I get there and the women says it will be a 40 min wait... I lost it.. very upset.. I told her I was on my lunch break..she said there were 4 people in front of me and nothing she can do.. I told her again I was on my lunch break and can't wait 40 mins... she told me that they were open until 8pm tonight, who cares.. I'm there now... told her i would be back at 4pm when i get out of work...why do they only have one person that can hand out glasses..this is unsat....i got back to work and called to speak to a manager.. manager was busy but i could call the manager tomorrow (sat) and speak with Kathy.. i def will :) ..then i called the 800 number.. spoke with Anita..very nice lady and she apologized and said she would contact Brockton office and let them know i will be back at 4pm...i will give them a second chance at 4pm.. if i have to wait i will cause there is nothing else i can do.. but i will never go back there again.!!!!!!!! still pissed... read more

I lost my glasses so I went to Brockton they said it would be a very long wait. I could not wait. I asked what is a good time to come in. I was told they are busy all the time. I go back Sunday and again told the same thing only one sales person. Okay what time do you open tomorrow 10 am I stand outside at 9:45 till they open. When they open the manager I believe states her salesmen not in yet can not help me. I explain I have been here three times this week. I have picked out three pairs on line. I went directly picked up the three pairs took a seat. Clerk apologized that saleswomen not there 25 minutes later she comes in okay I think I am ready Clerk sends another man that came in after me to her and comes over to look up my account after 45 minutes I said I have explained to you three times that I have been here three times this week and was waiting (the only one) for you to open why did you send the other man first. Walked in needing a new pair of glasses quickly. Ask the sales woman which frames I could get quickly. She said all of them. Made my selection and talked to another person to complete the transaction, and at the end of the transaction she told me that the tech had already left for the day and that the glasses would be ready next day late morning. Went back in the next evening after work to pick the glasses. First sales person said that they were not ready because of a machine part breaking. She was going to hunt down the glasses to confirm. While waiting for her to find glasses another gentleman said that they were so busy because of sale that all stores where having. The lab was overloaded. Was it broken part at on site lab or over loaded off site lab?! Can't they get story story straight? It's now the third day, we'll see if they can get it done today. So much for quick. read more

No stars, horrible, worst quality lenses I've ever had. The glass they use is of very poor. Quality. Also the frames are junk, never in all my years of wearing glasses has the screws that hold them together fallen out. I have 2 pairs from here both frames different mfg. I've Had to go back several times for retightening, it just happened again and I lost the lense now I'm down to one pair. Next stop lensecraftters never had these issues there. read more

I was leary coming here for their buy one, get one deal with $49 glasses being offered and figured there had to be some sort of catch or I would get in there only to find ugly glasses at that price or hardly any so I went in there not expecting much but to browse however when my husband and I arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by a woman (didn't catch her name) who explained that there were stickers on all of the $49 glasses, that there were many to choose from many designers, etc. While we looked, she switched us over to a woman named Lynn who was awesome. Didn't rush us. Helped us to select the right frames. Didn't try to upsell us on anything (which I fully expected). Very courteous and professional. Made us feel welcomed and the process/sale went very smoothly. My two minor complaints-one was that online they stated they accept my vision plan (EyeMed) and it also states on their window as well however when I got in there they said they only accept that for exams and not glasses yet-maybe next year. This should be clearly stated on their site. Also when they texted me to tell me both my pairs were ready, I called them to find out if my husband's were also ready so we could save time and come in together and the woman on the phone, although nice seemed overwhelmed and said she wasn't sure as there were numerous glasses in some bin yet to be sorted. I went the next day anyway and fortunately both were ready but they are definitely short staffed and overwhelmed there for sure. When we arrived, one woman said can I help you and I told her we were there to pick up our glasses to which her reply (not in a nasty way mind you) was "oh, I was getting ready to take my lunch (it was 4pm) but can look it up for you". The computer system was really slow and I left my husband to use the restroom for a few minutes and when I returned, we had another woman helping us instead who, although not nasty to us at all, seemed super rushed and not all that personable. Felt like we were taking up her time. I submitted the claim to EyeMed to receive reimbursement. All in all, their deal was what they claimed it to be and we received 4 pairs (2 each) of great glasses and Lynn was fantastic to deal with. I think corporate needs to send a couple of extra bodies to help them however during peak times/sales. read more
