Dr Mahajerani recommended limiting screen time at school and at home. We absolutely loved her and after discussing it as a family decided to proceed to the school to try to limit our son's screen time and ask for accommodations to try to help him as best as we could. However, after multiple attempts over three weeks to get a doctor's note from Los Gatos eye care we were met with unreturned calls and eventually no response at all. When we finally visited the clinic in person, Dr Mason was dismissive and unhelpful. She refused to provide the note and even questioned the validity of the original diagnosis from Dr Mahajerani. Her attitude was not only unprofessional but also dismissive of our concerns for our son's health. What was even more concerning was her disbelief in the impact of screen time on eye health. She outright denied that screen time could strain the eyes, which is a well-established medical fact. This blatant disregard for proper care and the dismissive attitude made the entire experience extremely frustrating. It was incredibly frustrating to be treated this way, especially when we were advocating for our child's well-being. I would strongly advise other parents to consider other clinics for a more supportive and professional experience. I'm sad to leave this clinic as Dr Mahajerani was the best we've seen. If she ever is to leave this clinic we would follow her but knowing Dr mason is running this office we won't be returning. I never would have expected walking up to the office today we would be treated in such a way.

I did not use their service, I only drove a friend here for their eye appointment, he reports that…read morethey were very nice, they took his insurance (The Medi-Cal VSP) for the exam, but did not have any glasses that were covered in full by the plan, so he was unable to get glasses that he desperately needs. I told him to ask for his PD measurement so we could order him some online for cheap, and they wanted to charge him 35$ for this measurement. I took him home and looked up how to do it, and got his measurement fine in no time. So just in case you are curious, it's very easy to get the measurement, if you have a metric ruler. You have the person look straight ahead and you measure the distance in millimeters between the centers of their pupils, double checking that the center of the bridge of their nose hits in the middle. If the nose hits off center, then you have two pd's the one from center left eye to center nose and the one from center right eye, to center nose. If they are even, you have one number, and that's the total from pupil center to pupil center. It literally would have taken them two seconds to give him this number, they just want to force him to give them 35$, to pay a fee for not buying glasses from them because they will not take his insurance for the glasses, when he clearly does not have 35$ as he is on Medi-Cal. So that was pretty awful of them.

Dao was so good at getting me ready to see the Dr. Back in 2023, the front desk wasn't that nice. I don't remember her name, maybe because she didn't make an impact on me.

My only complaint was with the parking situation, as there was no designated ADA spot, and the Main entrance was on the opposite side of the building. It turns out there is a back door (unmarked outside) from the lot, so I suggest asking about it if you need accesible entry. Although you should note that there aren't any steps or steep slopes in the way, and you can wheelchair round to the front fairly easy, but if you are in a cane or walker situation, I'd ask about the back door.

I've had only one disappointment: recently a pair of my glasses was warranted for 2 years and after exactly 2 years the UV coating started coming off, rendering them unusable, with no recourse but to order new glasses. This was not the doctor's or office's "fault", but I'm disappointed they are using what seems like a sub-par contracted lab to make my glasses. I still give them 5 stars because of such a long positive experience.

I had to go back to Union Optometry a couple of times to get my Rx further dialed in as I was still having some eye strain and blurring when trying to focus on my computer and phone. My eyes are VERY sensitive. Dr. Nancy was so patient and wanted to ensure everything was right this time. The lenses are perfect now. I also bought sunglasses with Rx lenses from Union and the lenses are nicely done, both in my sunglasses and in my reading frames. The surface polish is done well. Continue to highly recommend Union Optometry!

"DO KOT ENTER WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT". On the front door! Not "appointments recommended, please call XXX to see if we can help you". Just "stop, don't enter". Even for no-prescription sunglasses? I poked my head in without an appointment and asked if I could look at the sunglasses without an appointment. The young lady said "OK but if someone comes in with an appointment we will have to help them first." Ok... I understand. Then asked if I buy sunglasses as a gift, no prescription, and my wife wants a different pair, can she get a refund or exchange? "No, sorry, no refunds or exchanges." I guess I understand a merchant choosing to only issue store credit for an exchange, but not even offering exchanges on a gift, well that pretty much ensures no one will shop for gifts here. Retailers have the right to set whatever policies they want. I just wish there were a more friendly retailer of sunglasses around with whom I could do business.

Recently during the pandemic my line of work required loupes and a face shield . I was concerned that my eyesight was starting to change from those new safety precautions. Dr Kevin provided the most comprehensive exam I have ever experienced after years of eye exams in the past. He has a wonderful one on one approach with some providing educational information. Other optometrists are ready to sell you a pair of prescription glasses like used car salesmen. Dr Kevin has your eye health in mind and not pushy with his recommendations. Highly recommend !
