I have been waiting since December 22 (it is February 26) for a pair of sunglasses. I have been a customer for over 20 years but the new ownership leaves much to be desired. I gave the optometrist my glasses and a prescription saying the glasses were perfect and I wasn't sure if the prescription was correct. He chose to fill the prescription. Needless-to say, it was incorrect. He blamed the writer of the prescription saying he was trying to trick me to have anyone else filling the prescription make the wrong glasses so that I would return to him. He then used my glasses to get a new prescription. The glasses he made caused me to see double. He again blamed the old optometrist. He had me come in to see his optometrist for a brand new prescription. I was kept waiting for over 45 minutes, during which time the client scheduled after me already entered. The doctor checked my eyes but "didn't bring his equipment to test for prisms" - the one problem that the glasses he gave me had. But he promised that for the next exam I would be his first patient. The next week I showed up and lo and behold the doctor was with another patient. He told me he didn't realize he promised me the first appointment and said "I guess I need a REAL appointment book". The glasses that were then made were still wrong and made me see double. He refused to refund my money and I am still waiting for a solution. When I originally ordered the glasses I called after over four weeks because I hadn't heard from them. I was told "The glasses are here but I don't know if they came back from the maker or weren't sent out yet. I'll call you tomorrow to let you know. Four days later I called him because I hadn't heard from them and was told - Oh yes, they're ready. I don't know why you weren't called. read more

I have been to various optometrists in my life . Honestly though this place is the best . The staff is professional and courteous. When I went for the exam Dr Yu ( Dave) the optometrist was really cool. He was honest about the prices of the glasses I needed and truly worked with me. He took time to answer my questions . He is a true gentleman. His staff is also excellent. I decided from now on I will only come here even though I have moved to Long Island recently. The drive is worth it. read more

Everyone is so nice. I've never been treated better. They are professional courteous and thorough. I was nervous about getting progressive contacts the doctor took so much time making sure I could see near and far and that I was completely comfortable with my vision before they let me go back to the real world!! Stay away. Pulled a bait and switch on me. Karen assured my wife that the lenses for her new glasses would be identical to what she was wearing, which was high index, lightweight, and thin. When we picked them up the lenses were thick and heavy. Dave(?) said not to worry because he would replace them to what were promised, at an additional cost of $200. Needless to say we refused, our money was refunded, but they wasted our time. Stay away from this place. read more

Dr. Dave was thorough, yet did not waste my time, and they had frames ready for me to try hen I was done with the exam so made the process easy for me. And the price was very reasonable. I went to Vision decision in early February to have an eye exam and to get a pair of reading glasses. before I left the owners wife I think ? said they will get in touch with me when my glasses are ready , ( they couldn't get me out of the store quick enough) so I waited and waited and they never got in touch with me so I called today on March 20th and the owners wife answered and said I Should of got a text saying they were ready , I responded I never got a text then she said a lady named Sharon is in charge of that and she left it at that , no sorry acted like it was my fault so I went VISION DECISION to get my glasses the owner gives me my glasses doesn't he even clean them makes me read some letters and sent me on my way , I asked can I have a Lens cloth and they both responded it's not included really a freaking Lens cloth really how petty can you be ? The owner thinks he is a comedian who made a wise ass comment the first time I was there and looks stoned both times I've seen him also reminds me Bernie Madoff !! They didn't even give me a receipt with my prescription and they treated me like peasant probably because I'm on Medicaid . I DO NOT RECOMMEND VISION DECISION to any one. I'm here for a new pair of glasses and an eye exam. The exam was handled professionally and I'm getting the frames that I like. So far so good right? Now I asked to use their bathroom. Their bathroom is the nicest and cleanest bathroom I've used in a long time. It's like a mini-spa! Go in and tell them I said their bathroom is incredible. My family has been getting our examinations and glasses for several years here. Dr. Dave and Dr. Yu are great. They take their time with the exams. I usually get overwhelmed with picking a frame. Richie and Karen make it so much easier. Just tell them the color and style you want, and they will find a bunch of frames for you to choose from. They have frames for all budgets, including designer frames. My teenager and college student walked out very happy. read more

Excellent service. Went in for eye exam, in and out in ~30mins (I made a same day appointment) and the optometrist (I think his name was Yu) was SO so nice. Asked a few dumb questions and he gladly answered all of them. Even fixed my old crappy glasses for free. No pushing for me to buy frames, no over selling. Handed me my prescriptions, no fuss, no muss. $55 for an exam is a great deal (walmart charges 50 I think) for a very professional run operation and a nice physician. Went there Saturday January 7 with my family to get my nephew an eye exam. There was some confusion over to scheduled time and the owner said he was booked but would slip us in. He was very annoyed with us. He called another optician that he used to work for and said we had an appointment with them. He said we made a mistake and owed him an apology. Our appointment was in his computer. He became very agitated and an argument ensued. I couldn't believe he was treating a customer like this.We had been a customer for 6 years. He said he didn't need our business. We called for Dr.Yu to come out and he said he would take care of us and he did. I came to learn they are Co owners.My wife and I respect Dr. Yu but can not go back with this optician still there.He is very brash. It is a shame. read more

At this point after having had many positive experiences with this business I have to give them a poor rating for my most recent one. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses on Friday 6/30 in anticipation of a trip I was to take tomorrow 7/18. After being told I would have them in plenty of time before my trip I still don't and won't have them for my trip. To this point I still don't have a clear explanation other than it was some sort of "lab" error. I would advise anyone doing business with them to make sure you have a clear line of communication if you need glasses within a specific time frame.
