Really enjoyed and they did a great job. Very thorough and have 20/20 vision. DR was nice medical assistants were knowledgeable!

I had such an awful experience at this place. They were not forthcoming with the prices for add ons, or even that anything that they said would actually be an add on for glasses. In addition, and worst of all, the strength of my glasses was making me dizzy. They said the frames just needed to be adjusted. I went back 2x with concerns about how unsteady I felt in my glasses. Nothing but physical adjustments of the frames. A year later I went somewhere else to get glasses, as I couldn't function with my current prescription , and the dr. tells me that my glasses are 3x stronger then they should be! Honestly an awful experience for me with people who could care less about their patient's well-being and only about $$! read more

Yael Gatenio is the best person around to fit you for contacts. There is no one in this area who is as good as she is. She takes her time and really does an amazing job for fitting you with the best contacts. I tried a few places before being lucky enough to find Yael. Friendly and helpful staff, outstanding optometrist that takes pride on his work and actually spends the time to explain things, he gave me a little education on eyesight. Things I've never heard before like gaining vision as you age. I was under the impression I needed stronger glasses and the opposite was true! Outstanding service! I found this place on Yelp (obviously) and luckily they accepted my vision insurance. I went here for a routine annual vision exam and they were super accommodating with booking an appointment. I cannot say enough nice things about the people who work here. They are consistently thorough, pleasant, and helpful. My glasses broke during the quarantine and I was able to quickly make an appointment here to have my eyeglasses adjusted and new prescription sunglasses lenses ordered. Definitely would not recommend them. Completely overpriced. They charged me 300. 00 for 2 contact lens fittings. First they never told me there was a charge for this made up exam and I gave them our boxes for the contact lenses we already wear. Would not give me the prescriptions because I would not do business with them. The eye dr. Thinks he is God and deserves the money when my insurance company pays for regular eye exams. Apparently that is not enough for this greedy man. Never ever do business with them. I hope they go out of business. read more

They are the most helpful people. Everytime my family comes in for glasses, we are truly glad we came in. They know how to treat customers and are always willing to work with you. This place reminds me of how local businesses use to be, friendly and grateful for your business. The exam was great and I have never had any issues with my lenses/prescription. I have gone to other eyewear places from time to time but realize that I truly enjoy shopping here and wind up back in the store again and again. . I had a variety of surgeries at the end of 2009, required prescription glasses and went to Eyeworks. I was examed went fand I filled the prescription, the lenses themselves were over $300. During 2010 I followed up on at least four occasions in an effort to have Eyeworks submit my bill to Medicare so that I might be reimbursed, was given, what I thought then to be reasonable reasons for delay, along with a promise to followthrough. I returned several months ago and was told they would do it right then.Never hearing from Medicare, my wife went in to check, was told they were sure they submitted it, but did not make an effort to check their records, and when my wife said we had heard nothing, was told Medicare only covers cataracts; well, this was part of the surgery. The bottom line is they offered no assistance to followup and let my wife leave. For this reason, I am now a former customer, took my sons records away as well and would NOT RECOMMEND this business read more

I recently was refered to Eyeworks in Merrick and was extremely happy with the level of service. I had tried to wear progressive lenses in the past and was never successful, so I was hesitant to try them again to say the least. The optician Robert Friedman made me feel very comfortable and assured me that if it did not work out he would refund my money. As soon as I put them on I knew they were different from my old ones. I have now been wearing them for 2 months and they have been wonderful. These lenses have changed my life as I can read, and see distance at the same time.
