I had to write about how lucky I feel to have visited Dr Landrio's office. I am new to the area and although it seems strange to " shop" for a doctor, I had no choice. I woke up this morning, after sleeping with my contacts last night and could NOT open my right eye. I was in pain and my husband called the local eye doctor after looking online. Although I couldn't see what he was choosing, I knew as soon as I walked in that it was a good choice. The staff could not be nicer as they brought me right in and Dr Landrio's presence just calmed me right down. Then she carefully examined me and explained to my husband and I exactly what I needed to do to get some relief. I am writing this after receiving a call from her this evening to ask how I was!!!!!! How many doctors take time out of their little free time to call- on a Saturday night - to check in on your condition? I will suggest Dr Landrio to everyone who will listen to me and return for my routine exams with my children. read more

I have a complicated lens prescription with progressive lenses to be used for distance and reading vision. I went to two optometrists prior to visiting Dr. Landrio and both prescribed lenses that did not improve my vision adequately, and one optometrist told me that it was impossible to correct my distance vision to 20/20. Given that I have no corneal or retinal eye diseases, I believed that my vision correction could be improved. I then went to Dr. Landrio. She spent a good deal of time with me to provide me with the best lens prescription possible. Yesterday I picked up my new glasses and as soon as I put them on, I was thrilled. The correction was perfect. I can now see 20/20 for distance and it has made a world of difference in my quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Landrio. From the minute I walked into the door I was greeted with a warm smile from everyone in the office. After filling out the new patient form, the lady at the desk reassured me that my wait time was only a few minutes, which it was. It wasn't even 10 minutes. Dr. Landrio then came out to greet me and walk me to the back where the room was. I have a lot of issues with one eye and I swear I never met a doctor like her. I had so many questions and concerns. She had such great bedside manner, and was so patient with me. She literally answered every question I had. I walked out of my visit feeling optimistic about the condition of my eyes. Dr. Landrio and her most helpful staff especially Kelly are simply the best. I am not one to really write reviews however I found it necessary to do so in this case. Dr. Landrio, Kelly and the rest of the staff make you feel so welcome the moment you walk into the door. They are like family. I have been going to Dr. Landrio for a few years now- myself as well as my husband and my 2 almost grown boys. We all love her. We dont mind driving from the Bronx to Long Island as it is worth it. They are all extremely friendly and most importantly knowledgeable. They are beyond professional and I would never go anywhere else. A word of advise if you aren't going to this office and seeing this doctor you are making a huge mistake because they are the BEST. read more

I wanted a doctor in my neighborhood and I didn't want to go to a large 'box' store. I wanted to put my vision in the hands of a local doctor I could trust. I found that Doctor in Dr. Landrio. Hands down, Dr. Landrio is the best eye doctor on the planet. Her eye exams are thorough, she's incredibly kind, and she takes the time to explain everything. It's so rare to find a doctor who is excellent at what they do AND is great with people (she seriously needs to be cloned). Bonus: Her office staff is top-notch (which is also rare nowadays), her office uses the latest technology, her office hours accommodate a busy lifestyle, and her office location (which has plenty of parking) is conveniently located within walking distance of the Merrick Train Station. This was the best experience I've ever had at an eye doctor. Dr. Landrio's refraction and explanation of my eye health was very thorough, its the first time I can say I understand what getting an eye checkup means. Walking in to the office was a pleasant surprise, the boutique like environment, the smiling welcoming faces of the front desk was the start of my awesome experience. Purchasing my "eyewear", I was educated (fashion for your face) was so much fun. The Optician was very knowledgeable in the lens choices and frame styles. Dr. Landrio gave me an excellent and professional eye examination including checking for cataracts, glaucoma , and macular degeneration. Dr. Landrio and her efficient and helpful staff were always available to answer any questions that I had. The selection of frames were extensive and staff took their time to help me pick out frames. As a senior citizen, I did not feel rushed which made me feel confident of a thorough exam. In addition to being professional she is also very,very personable and caring. Recently I was diagnosed with a corneal problem and I could not see with any glasses prescribed to me. Dr. Landrio was referred to me and knew exactly what to do to help me. Immediately she put me at ease by explaining my condition (which no other doctor took the time to do). After extensive testing, Dr. Landrio ordered me a pair of contacts that were made specifically for my irregular eyes and within two follow up visits, I was seeing 20/20 again.
