I was having a lot of eye stress so I made an appointment here after my BF had his eyes checked a few weeks ago. This is a very professionally run store from the Angelica who also keeps the office very hygienic and cleans everything for Dr Corrine Blum. Dr Blum does a comprehensive eye exam and told me my eyeglass prescription is way too strong for me. She's great at explaining everything step by step. My eye doctor retired. I read reviews about doc Blum and they were right. She answered all my questions and concerns and I never felt rushed. She fitted me with new glasses and contacts. Even when I went back to pick up my new glasses she sat down with me and asked how the new contacts were going and if I needed anything else. My eyes feel better and more relaxed again. read more

Dr.Blum was so helpful, understanding, kind and did an excellent job at fitting me for new contact lenses! I would highly recommend anyone to see her!! I came to the office with several problems, worried they wouldn't be solved. I explained to her all my concerns regarding an infection, allergies and pain from an astigmatism lens. She took her time making sure each issue was addressed and ordered multiple lenses for me to try on. I left the office with comfortable lenses that are not painful and allow me to see much better. This place is very convenient for me--takes most insurance plans, open on Saturdays, and Dr. Kornblatt is very knowledgable having been in the industry for over 50 years. He can diagnose/prescribe very quickly and I've been satisfied with my glasses and contact purchases. The office is a little outdated and relatively small, but there's usually only a short waiting time. I had my glasses readjusted one time in their office and the lens on one side cracked internally. They replaced it swiftly and free of charge. read more

Dr Corinne Bloom is the best optician I've ever had. I have early onset cataracts at 40 years old and I saw several eye surgeons about it. I always postponed the surgery because it was all too confusing and scary. When we moved to Huntington this year I came to Huntington Family Optometry because I felt I needed a stronger prescription for my glasses. I had never had such a thorough eye exam from an optometrist like the one she performed. She saw the cataracts and took the time no other doctor had taken before to explain to me everything about the surgery. After seeing a surgeon and getting some confusing information I called her for recommendations and she took the time to explain further over the phone to clarify my doubts and walked me through the process. Her guidance and and nurturing disposition is truly a blessing. Her staff is also wonderful, responsive, helpful, patient, and kind. I'm so happy I found this place! read more

Highly recommend Family Optical. I called and they were able to see me right away .The location is convenient, the office was spotless. The receptionist was pleasant and friendly. I was promptly seen by Dr. Corinne Blum OD, FAAO . She gave me a very thorough eye exam and was very attentive to my questions. So I had an appointment with them today... Had some runaround when I first called them, as they claimed that I had to choose either a glasses or contact exam. Called my insurance, and they said that was not true. I tried to call Family Optical yesterday to clear up the confusion, but they were closed. Called them first thing this morning, and they said that I could do both, but that I would be required to purchase contacts as well as glasses, in order to have my contact fitting covered. Called London Optical, and they agreed with my insurance (imagine that!) that I did not need to purchase anything extra just to have an exam. Never will even look at this place as I drive down the street. Too bad I can't give 0 stars for attempting to rob me. read more

Bait and switch with the price of an eye exam, depending on whether you buy their overpriced merchandise afterwards. Go elsewhere.
