People are going to complain about anything and everything. With that being said.... I bought my first pair of glasses at a place that I will not disclose.. I knew nothing about glasses and walked into this unnamed optical place and they were very nice but it was only to make the sale. Which they did, I had purchased a pair of glasses that wasn't the right fit. I spent allot of money on something I couldn't stand wearing at the end of the day. Painful and uncomfortable... So I ventured on to find a place that would educate me and work with me. And that is when I found Pearle Vision in Commack. I walked in and was instantly greeted. By Dawn. When I explained my situation and experience both her and Ross literally worked with me for just under an hour to ensure I walked out comfortable, happy and satisfied. Which I did. This was a couple of years ago. Since this time. I have purchased prescription sunglasses, bought both my son and daughter their glasses and sport glasses, and my wife to get her glasses. So people do yourself a favor. Read the reviews but don't go by one fussy customers bad day. Go into Pearle Vision in Commack and form your own opinion. She was attentive and patient with my search for new ray ban aviators. This segues me to why I was there in the first place. To make a long story short, my husband lost my shades during one of our travel ventures. He surprised me and brought me to this particular Pearle Vision in Commack, NY. The owner and Jenna was helpful as well. This was an overall smooth and efficient experience! I highly recommend!

I visited to get my eye exam, prescription, and new glasses…read more The process of the exam and picking the frames was great but when I had to come back to pick them up things were not so great. I got a call to pick up my frames and I asked if I could have my prescription when I picked them up and was told yes. I arrive and get my frames and only one of the two is ready. And they also have no print out and am told I'll get it when I pick up the other frames. I get a call to pick up the other frames and confirm the print out will be ready. The print out was not ready and I had to wait for it. I asked for my PD and was told no. I asked why not and the employee told me it changes depending on the glasses. This made no sense to me because it is the distance between my pupils and that doesn't change. I also mentioned how when I got my two pairs of glasses from that very store they only measured my PD on one frame because it's the same. I asked how that was. She said they had a machine and it knows what to do. I asked how it worked and she said that's why we have machines. She begrudgingly wrote down my PD and said she added a note to the file that she is not liable if I use it and it's wrong. I feel as if she kept just saying stuff to placate me and get me to move on and I don't appreciate that. What she was saying did not make sense to me. I paid for an eye exam and prescription and my PD should be included. Additionally, the two times I went in to pick up frames she seem flustered and kept going on about how busy she was. And I wish they would leave a message when I missed the phone call. I like the frames I bought but probably won't be coming back, to this location at least

So then another associate came up to us and my husband asked them to read the sign and they said, yes but you have to buy 2 pairs. My husband said where does it say you have to buy 2 pairs. No where on that sign. I said that's false advertisement. She had an attitude towards my husband. Professionalism was horrible. So we ended up going to Pearl Vision and they were nice and helpful. No problem there.

I can't say enough positive about OCLI, and whike I'm not done with my care.... I did want to post…read moremy thoughts. My eyesight had deteriorated after leaving the hospital, and went to Pearl for a long overdue exam. The Dr immediately said there was a bigger issue than he could handle and referred me to OCLI. While waiting for my appointment in Massapequa, I woke up largely blind in my right eye with long black strands over my field of vision. We called, and they were kind enough to move up our appointment... but in Huntington. Lots of tests and looking and meeting DR Bloom and Dr Brennan. I had bad cataracts on both eyes.... very bad in right along with what appeared to be some bleeding. To make a long story shorter..... Dr Bloom did both eyes, with the left being better IMMEDIATELY.... and ending up with 20/30 vision! The right did have some bleeding, but thankfully no retna issue.... just blood. DR Brennan tried several shots to clear it up, but surgery is necessary. We'll do that 11/19, From both doctors to everyone at the office, I've felt cared for and lucky to have found OCLI!

We went here she sat here for an hour he finally came in the room looked at her for 2 minutes and told her she had dry eye not to mention he was so beyond rude it's like an aggressive rude personality. We were rushed out and can you believe he missed the fact that she had experienced a stroke????? I am sick over this she spent the day in the ER, and the doctors there TOLD HER THE DOCTOR MAJORLY FUMBLED THE BAG HERE MISSING KEY SIGNS AND ADVISED US TO NEVER TO RETURN!!!!!!!! I will never return and I will make it my mission that everyone I know that comes here never returns my poor grandmother. His license should be revoked !!!!!!
