This was my first visit to Dr. Li's office after being urgently referred to a uveitis specialist by my ophthalmologist--and I walked in feeling nervous, half-blind in my right eye, and full of questions. From the moment I stepped into the office, everything just clicked. Check-in? Easy as pie. Even though my interaction with the front desk was short (because the moment I walked in everything was already handled--just had to sign one quick form), I have to say: the women behind the desk were everything. Warm smiles, friendly vibes, and total competence. They were like the welcoming committee for this medical dream team--setting the tone with "you're in good hands" energy before I even had the chance to sit down. Literally. I was just about to park myself in the waiting room when Darwin swooped in to bring me to the back. Now let's talk about Darwin--this man is a GEM. Professional, knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely listened as I explained my symptoms. He asked all the right questions, got what I like to call my "eye vitals," and when I mentioned the pressure and near-complete vision loss in one eye, he didn't skip a beat--he checked my eye pressure right away and went straight to consult with Dr. Li. He also made me laugh, which was much needed. Like, give this man a raise and a trophy. Enter Dr. Li--poised, brilliant, and an absolute boss in the best possible way. She walked in with such calm authority and compassion, I instantly felt at ease. She took her time, examined my eyes in every way imaginable, asked thorough questions, and didn't rush a single moment. When it came time to make the call on whether to send me to a specialist or perform an emergency procedure right there--she trusted her instincts, chose to act, and walked me through every single step so I knew exactly what to expect. Her communication was top-tier and her hands? Steady and confident. The whole procedure? Seamless. I left that office feeling like I had just been taken care of by the Beyoncé and Jay-Z of ophthalmology. Seriously. I trusted them implicitly and still do. It's rare--RARE--to feel so safe, heard, and cared for on a first visit, especially in a situation that could've been downright terrifying. If you're considering Dr. Li's office, stop thinking and GO. They're efficient, compassionate, and make you feel like you're more than just a chart number--they make you feel like you matter. Dr Tung is great, very knowledgeable and experienced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Office is modern and very clean. Very happy overall.

I first came here 2021 after making an appointment on zocdoc. No issues whatsoever and I really liked Dr Tin. Went again today after scheduling again through zocdoc and was in and out in 45 minutes. I would stay away. They seemed to only care about payment. I made an appointment for contact lenses. Their card they gave me with the appointment clearly said contact lenses. They don't do contact lenses. Frustrating. Waited an hour and half to see a actual doctor for 3 minutes. Others did things without identifying themselves. Tight stand only waiting room. They wanted to dilate me without notice. I do have a medical condition and I thought the doctor may help or provide guidance...you know practice medicine. Nothing. Complete waste of time for me. Felt lied to regarding the contact lenses. I would not take their diagnosis at this point, if they actually offered one. I think it worked out for them. Please don't waste your time here. I made an appointment via zocdoc and I went in, the front desk said I didn't have an appointment. I showed my email from zocdoc then he said they have me down at a different time but I still can't see the doc because she's leaving early. He was very rude and tried to brush me away. Less than 1 star. I made an appointment on Zocdoc. I got a confirmation from them . When I got to the office in Little Neck the 2 receptionist's said I did not have an appointment. That I should have called to confirm...I told them I had a painful eye infection. They were completely unhelpful. The thing is when I got home and checked the Zocdoc screen it said the office had cancelled the appointment. I guess they found that I had one and after I left they canceled it RATHER then call and ask me to return. Unprofessional, sloppy awful service. I would imagine this is a reflection of the Drs services and I would strongly suggest finding a more professional and helpful Dr. I have screenshot evidence to back up this review. Perhaps Maryann P. Is not aware that refraction (also known as a "Vision Test") is basically what tells the doctor whether or not you need prescription glasses. Remember when you were asked "Which looks clearer, one or two?" Well, that is refraction. Without it, no prescription. Thus, no 90.00, no prescription! My wife and I have been using Dr. Tung for many years and we both agree he's one of the best. Do you have to wait longer than you would like once in awhile? Yes. Just a heads up to all of you who are considering using this office dr. Tung is a fabulous Dr however the practices in his office leave much to be desired I specifically signed the form that I did not want an infraction done for an additional $90 the form does not explain what an infraction is just that it's $90 I signed I did not want it. However when I got to check out they handed me a $90 Bill and told me the doctor did the infraction they will not give me the prescription for my glasses until I pay the $90 I told the girl I didn't want the infraction however the doctor did it anyway without saying he was going to do it or explaining why it needed to be done instead dr. Fishman took 15 minutes to tell me about his neighbor who does not pay a mortgage for the last 9 years and still lives in her house frankly I don't care about his neighbor's I was there for my eye exam not the history of his block seems to me there needs to be some changes in this office frankly they need to explain why an infraction is needed before they do it especially if someone has signed the form stating they do not want it so now they're holding my prescription hostage until I pay the $90 I am not paying the $90 if I had the money I would have done it however I specifically signed that I did not want that in fraction very poor practices I guess it's all about the money read more

I will admit that the staff is pleasant and Dr. Ricci is a nice man who clearly knows his stuff, but I will not be going back. When I made the appointment I made it clear that it was for an annual eye exam, I have glasses and wanted to get my prescription checked. When I first met with the doctor I told him I haven't had an annual in a year or 2, and I have one concern about my peripheral vision, but no real major concerns. He did all the usual tests and dilated my eyes and at the end told me everything looked normal. I asked him about my prescription because I realized he hadn't checked it and he said the optometrist does that so I'd have to make another appointment. I was absolutely stunned. I have been to 2 ophthalmologists over the past 15 years and they have ALWAYS checked my glasses at the annual appointment, I never had to mention it. I've never heard of an ophthalmologist referring a patient to an optometrist. When I checked out the receptionist asked me if I had any tests and I said yes, but I wasn't sure what they were exactly, assuming she would ask someone to confirm but she just looked at me and said I owe $50. Not sure what I paid for, but I was so eager to get out of there I paid and left. I'm not sure if it's a practice policy to have only the optometrist do a prescription check, but I've never ever heard of such a thing and if it is their policy they should have made that clear to me when I made my "annual checkup" appointment. I'd like to know what else they thought I was there for? I felt totally duped and swindled leaving that place and now I have to find another doctor. read more
