I will be honest, I went in and had a great experience with the doctor and younger girls, for that I gave them three stars, however there is an older lady there who is pretty nasty. While I was there I just figured maybe she was having an off day; but that's not the case. I called and got her on the phone and she was pretty rude when I asked questions about my glasses. When I called trying to figure out when my order would be in, they claimed they would have to "check with my insurance and call back" even tho I paid out of pocket, lol so someone there answering phones basically just lies to you to get you off the phone. Communication after you order your glasses is poor. Paid about 100 more dollars than retail on frames they over price and claim to "take money off of" don't know if I'll go here again. Go here. You won't regret it! On Presidents Day my extremely difficult mother decided to guilt me into picking out her glasses. She insisted we go to her place, but we had a bad experience last year. So I remember how great this place was. Firstly, the customer service is outrageously good. The woman who runs the office is helping with glasses and talking phone calls like a pro. She merely looked at my mother and found an amazing pair of glasses. Then the doctor- a few things here. This was a different doctor than I had seen but both were handsome, fantastic bedside manor and accommodating. My mom is amazing at being an embarrassing pain but seriously, they treated her so well. Anyway, in and out- Easy! Easy! So now I have to take my dad here for his reading glasses. The staff is so great and the prices are right, I'll see you there. The DMV sent me a letter saying I'm old and need to reregister my license. I needed an eye test. On 9/17/16 I called up this office and asked if they did that. The polite woman who picked up the phone assured me they did and there was a $10 fee. She checked the schedule and told me to stop in. 5 minutes later I enter. Now this place was poppin! However the staff greeted me and the doctor was obviously at the helm of this ship. Greeted me and let me know someone would be with me shortly. I could see he had everything under control. Dr. Jared Bohn did my eye exam. I have 20/15 vision and I must say, Dr. Bohn was a pleasant sight! Wonderful bed side manner. I have been buying my eyeglasses from Access Optical for over 10 years. They have always been wonderful with replacing my lenses to my glasses if they are scratched under the warranty. Although friendly, I had a difficult time getting a straight answer on pricing for my frames only. My insurance covers up to 200 plus they provide a discount on top of an in network purchase at 20%. I had priced a few places on the exact frame I wanted and it was coming in at 170 to 200. When I spoke with the woman that works here 2x in total she told me I'd owe them $100 out of pocket? How? So you're charging $100 more than everyone else for the same exact frame? I kept asking how much the frame was on it's own without insurance coverage and she would not provide this info. Come to find out one of my coworkers also had a bad experience here. She was given a price quote only to have that completely inflated upon pick up of her glasses. Proceed with caution and price around before coming here would be my best advice. read more

WOW! For customer service this place has it all. I'm on Long Island from New Jersey for a work function and my wife grabed the wrong box for my contacts. We called around to a few places and all we got from them was you have to have an exam. We called Access and spoke with Cheryl. It was crowded, so there must be something to it. But my first time there was terrible. I was asked to arrive early for my appointment in order to fill out paperwork. When I got there I was ignored for 10 minutes. Not even eye contact & a smile... Then I was told to sit and wait. No heads up that the doctor was running very late. It took me going up to the counter and interrupting the girls personal phone call to tell her that I was going to leave that she offered to try on frames while I waited for the doc. Dr Cohen explained everything in detail and Jared Bohn the other optician goes out of his way to assure I'm 100 percent happy when I walk out.
