Just popped onto Google to check the hours for this evening and thought I would share my absolute satisfaction with Dr. Norris and his staff! I have been coming here for just a few years now, but I have needed vision correction almost all my life...so I've been to an Optometrist or two over the last 40 years. Once I started coming here, I wished I had found them much sooner! They are terrific, kind, helpful...they recently fixed both my regular and back up pairs for no charge after I just decided to pop in one day and find out what to do with both pairs broken. I also bought a new pair that they promised would be much sturdier and less likely to need repairs at all (wish me luck, I'm a bull in a china shop!) They always make sure to use my Insurance coverage to my full advantage every year (put the benefits toward your contacts, and take the discount on your frames) Lastly, the administrative team always greets me with a smile and warm welcomes. I came here to get two lenses made. At first I was debating whether to go here or Lindy's eye care across the street. I know inside of Lindy's the space is kinda of crammed but the reviews were glowing for that place. However, something in my gut was telling me to go here instead, so I did. And I'm so very glad I did! Parking was easy and as soon as I stepped in the door, I was greeted by Ellyn. I talked to her about the lenses I needed made. She informed me what would be better for the type of lenses I needed, which even saved me money since I didn't have to spend for the extras. And once the lenses were made, they came out perfect! Next she helped me with my prescription lenses. Again very insightful in what I needed and what I didn't need. Also she even called my Dr. for me to verify some info. Ellyn was great. I love this place! The hours are great, especially because they're open late on weekdays. I've never had a problem getting an appointment. The staff are so friendly, and they allow me plenty of time to try on frames. They're willing to help me pick out the perfect pair of glasses or sunglasses, and they also help me to understand exactly what your insurance covers. I would highly recommend this office! Dr. Norris is very professional and thorough. I visit the office for a yearly eye exam, and I am always pleased with the time that he takes to complete the exam AND to make sure that I am completely satisfied. Frames usually take a week to come in, and when they do, I always get a call from the staff. When I pick up my frames, the staff makes sure that they fit perfectly, and the doctor even comes to check that they fit just right. I would definitely recommend Eye Values Optical. read more

Rude Scammers. Went for an eye exam for my teenager. First of all, the doctor Norris was short and rude when giving my son directions and when answering his questions (even my son said to me that he didn't like the treatment). My son's prescription changed a bit and the doctor offered contact lenses, which I consented to. He sat us down with one of the ladies from the front who showed him how to put on and remove his contacts. When it was time to go she handed me a bill for $75. I was shocked and asked for an explanation to the bill. She spoke very fast, I had to ask her twice to repeat herself. She was annoyed and had an attitude because I was asking for explanation since I have insurance. Apparently, the "contact fitting" is not covered by insurance. I should have been told that this thing was not covered ( which is what normal people do) and not just sprung on me at the end, and then give attitude when I'm asking for an explanation. She knew they were wrong for not telling me ahead of time, which is why she wanted to ramble through the bill. My son expressed discomfort with treatment and I am displeased with how they handle their billing. Will not be returning to this place. read more

I had an eye exam with them purchased eye glasses with $200 in upgrades along with sunglasses that were $350. The day i got my glasses i knew they were wrong. I went into a full blown vertigo episode and could not even wear the glasses. I brought them back and told them they were not correct. He proceeded to tell me they were the correct prescription and made me feel as if i was stupid even though I've been wearing glasses for over 20 years. This is the first time I've ever had this happen to me. I told him i wanted a refund and he told me that he'd send the glasses out again to change the focus point on the glasses. That still did not work because like i said from the beginning the prescription was incorrect. I went back at least 3 times. Finally after months of dealing with this i decided to pay cash and get an eye exam elsewhere. The prescription was in fact incorrect. I called to tell them and let them know that i would like to return them. I was told yes to bring them back for a return. I brought back my sunglasses first because i was waiting for my new glasses that i again had to pay cash for because i used my insurance with this office. I let them know i was waiting for my new glasses to come in and that i would be returning the regular glasses once my new ones came in. I was told no problem. Now i got my new glasses and go to return them and he's telling me he'll give me 30% of the $200 i paid. I'm a high risk pregnancy and should not be dealing with any stress. I tried to nicely explain that this was not my fault that they got my glasses wrong so many times and that they agreed to refund me my money and now they won't. He told me take me to small claims court then he doesn't care. I tried to support a small business who in turn does not care about his customers and is keeping my $200 instead of honoring his word and refunding my money. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND He is now violating hipaa and disclosing dates of my medical exams to other people's reviews which i DID NOT authorize the release of any of my medical information. Also he is incorrect in his responses. He offered me 100% refund which he did give me for my sunglasses but changed his mind for my regular glasses. I gave him many chances to fix the glasses throughout the time. They were sent out i believe 2-3 times and still could not correct the issue because they were the wrong prescription all along. I the customer should not have to be out money for his medical error on my prescription. read more

Dr. Norris at Eye Values is a great doctor and I highly recommend this practice. I started having trouble with my eyes about 10 years ago at 50 years old when I started seeing double when reading. I went to two optometrists and an ophthalmologist who all misdiagnosed me and said that I just needed reading glasses, which just made the double vision I was seeing bigger. I went to Eye Values as a last try to see if anything could be done. The other doctors had me thinking I was crazy. I only went to Eye Values because they were local and was not expecting much. Dr. Norris spent about 45 minutes doing all type of tests and discovered that I had late onset strabismus, a condition usually found in children and prescribed be prism glasses which corrected the problem. I have been going back for my checkups and have had the prescription revised a few times since my eyes have become worse as I get older. Thanks to Dr. Norris I can still read and do my job which requires me to be on a computer all day which I cannot even see anymore without my glasses. I needed to post this because Dr. Norris is a true professional who actually cares about his patients and wants to help them to the best of his ability. read more

My daughter lost her glasses and since we now have no insurance, were able to choose a new eye dr with no restrictions. With that comes the financial burden of having to pay out of pocket. It was nerve wracking as a parent to a teenage girl, to see the prices of frames. I couldn't be happier as the selection of frames in my price range was amazing! She was thrilled with her new glasses and I was thrilled with the service and price. The employees were so personable and sweet. Tim worked a miracle....he narrowed down my daughter's favorite 6 frames down to one in about 2 minutes!!! I'll be using his technique from now on with any choices that the kids need to make. I've read a number of negative reviews, but all I can say is I had great service. The exam with Dr Norris was thorough. I seem to have an early stage cataract developing in one eye and he explained it was too soon to do anything about it, but that we just needed to watch it for now. They were very patient with me when it came to frame selection. Must have looked at a dozen before seeing one I liked. Still wasn't pleased with the color so they ordered the other color option so they'd have it in stock when my lenses were done. Everyone there was kind, courteous and helpful. I was a pt at eye values five years ago and found them mediocre. I recently returned there because they were one of the few places that accept medicaid. I was told I could walk in and did so. They were about to take me in when I informed them I had recently received medicaid. At that point I was told that I needed an appointment. The young man said I could return in 2 hours for an appointment. The young lady rudely said no and went to the back to see the doctor. They came out soon after and informed me that I would have to return 4 days for next appointment. They scowled at me the whole time. I pointed out their walk in policy and the fact that everything changed as soon as I told them about medicaid. My family has been through a very rough year. As a medical professional for 25 years, I know that the medicaid reimbersments are low, but I also realized early on that our most important goal as professionals is to treat all pts the same. I felt degrated and humiliated by my treatment. But thats ok because I went right across the street to Lindy eyecare, and was treated wonderfully by Dr Craig and the gang. Thats why Lindy eyecare was so busy I guess. They fit me in and took lots of time because I havent had an exam in so long. Do yourself a favor pass this place and go to Lindy eyecare! read more

I have been coming to Eye Values pretty much since they opened. This morning, my dad went to put on his glasses and the frames broke. I called Eye Values and was told to come on over so they could take a look at them. They weren't able to fix them, but found a replacement frame at a really low price. Furthermore, when I mentioned that I had to come back next week for my driver's license eye exam, Cammy said, " I can send the information right over to DMV." Thank you, Cammy! (Hope I spelled your name right) I work in retail, and it really means a lot to find this level of customer service. :) read more

Rude and unprofessional. I went there several months ago to get my first pair of glasses. the staff outside are very friendly and helpful...unless you have medicaid. I watched two women help about 3 people get expensive glasses and all they could do for me is point to the rows of glasses my insurance covers. The doctor was nice, but these were my first pair of glasses and he did not mention anything about an adjustment period or how my eyes might react to wearing glasses for the first time. i honestly thought i just pop them on and i'd be fine, but instead i lost my peripheral vision, had blurred vision and ocular migraines for a week. i thought i had another stroke in my occipital lobe and it scared the sh.t out of me. i don't know why he couldn't take a minute to explain that there is an adjustment period and what to do to avoid losing my eyesight in the process, but he didn't, so i am never going here again. the people were rude and i lost the majority of my vision. it's the opposite of what should happen at an eye doctor. read more

A little disappointed in Eye Values Tonight. So I went last week for an eye exam for my six year old. Exam went well and doctor was nice besides correcting me for calling astigmatism "an astigmatism". They ran my insurance and told me how much was covered. I couldn't find frames and felt the frames showed to my six year old were way too mature and large. I decided to return tonight to look again. I did not even start looking yet. The girl took our info again for insurance and said it's not insurance it's a discount plan. I know it's insurance because I've used it before and I even called them to verify what optical accepted it. They pay 50 percent of bill and I pay the other half. I can pretty much get whatever frames we want. She said since it's a discount plan she can only give me 30 percent off of the bill. Mind you of glasses I haven't even picked out yet! I explained again it's an insurance plan and they pay half! She asked the doctor and came back and said yeah no you only get thirty percent off. We already have discounted pricing. She understood the plan last week so I'm not sure what changed. She wasn't very nice and could have cared less if I left. I left and called the insurance from my car! He called there with me on the line and they were even nasty to him!?! They told him we are busy and hung up!!!! He called back again and they put him on hold and hung up again! Very sad! I was right there and we were only people there. I try and shop local as much as I can! Oh and I picked up my older son's glasses and they were not even handed to me! They were left out on the counter! He wasn't there with me. Maybe she was trying to rip me off? I paid the contracted rate with insurance in cash for eye exam and I had to ask more than once for a receipt the week prior. Just be aware and check your insurance! On the bright side I did speak to a supervisor at the insurance and he told me he will make sure they are educated how to accept their plan. Avoid at all costs! I've been coming here with my family since I was 5. I've only ever gone through them until I realized it's much cheaper to get contacts and glasses online. I went in a few months ago to get my eye exam as I noticed my prescription changed a tiny bit. The doctor confirmed it, sent me off with a printed out prescription and I ordered my contacts online. Upon switching into the new ones, I very quickly realized I still couldn't see very well. I decided to look into my previously ordered contacts and the "new" prescription and they were the same! He never changed my prescription. I tried calling and letting them know I think they had messed up and I was met with rude remarks and how they couldn't possibly have been wrong. The wouldn't even hear me out or let me show them what I was talking about. They also treat you poorly if you don't have great insurance. Sorry I don't make a lot of money and can't afford much, but they've known me for over 20 years! The only reason they are getting a star is because I have to, and because Cliff (who I'm not even sure still works there) is such a sweet man. read more

I've been bringing my family to this place for our eyeglasses for about 5-6 years now. The eye exam is always great and professional. And from time to time when my daughters glasses need a quick little repair Tim is always there to fix them with a smile. Tim is great. My issue is with the girls at the counter. I happen to have EXCELLENT insurance and I'm allowed all the bells and whistles for no extra cost ($10 co pay only) but every single year I get resistance from them when it comes to my insurance. It's like they just want to charge me even though my insurance covers everything. From transitions to anti glare coating to progressive lenses, it's all covered. But every year they feel the need to want to charge me for all of this even though every year they are reading a printout from my insurance company detailing what's covered in full. It's getting old. I'm tired of dealing with this nonsense year after year. Today when my wife picked out her frames (which included anti glare, transitions xtra active and progressive lenses all for the $10 copay) she was told that she was getting a steal. Excuse me... you have no idea how much I pay for my insurance every year. I think I'll be going to Pearls Vision next year. It's a shame too because I really like everyone else there. read more
