Hey, I just wanted to take a min to lend clarity (since your eyesight must be as faulty as your manners). You were the most rude, obnoxious ass that I have come across in so many years, and I have seen many. I was so utterly disgusted by your unwarranted treatment of the staff while I was sitting right there in front of you purchasing (YES- LIKLELY AN UNFAMILIAR TERM TO YOU CAUSE YOU WANTED EVERYTHING FOR FREE!!) multiple pairs of glasses from Vision People, whilst you ovetook the congenial attitude of the store, all the while demanding what they told you was only $20.00, but, you wanted for free. Quite honestly, as you stormed out the door, I told Deb, and another few PAYING customers that I felt like just handing you a 20 dollar bill, but thought that you were probably gonna just keep it and NOT pay for what they told you it would cost. Lets be fair, they TRIED to help, very hard, but, like many pathetic souls, you just wanted something for NOTHING. Guys what pal, NOTHING in life is free. So instead of getting your rocks off and trashing these hard working retailers on yelp, and other sites, I hope that people read this and realize that even keyboard warriors like you need to be checked! AVOID AVOID AVOID. They make you get glasses from them holding off your prescription in hostage. They refuse to cancel orders within 36 hour notice. They sell cheap $20 frames that they get $200 from insurance. They're selling Nikes for $350 when it's $150 everywhere. Management was super rude when I requested multiple times to cancel my order. I got good, long lasting glasses here. The lens popped out today. I thought, Oh no, I am going to miss weeks of work while they make new ones. I called and then stopped in. The tech fixed my bent frames and put the lens back in, matter of minutes. Great! Btw, no charge read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! They have zero documentation of my yearly eye exam because they were normal; at least they refused to provide it. They also have zero regards for your privacy. They openly discussed my business in front of other patients that were sitting around the office. Got prescription glasses for me and my wife there for two years. Called for appointment was greeted and hung up on abruptly by employee tony. When I called back he said he had said hello twice which he did not. I told him you were on speaker my wife also heard. He was rude so I asked for supervisor he replied they weren't there my name is tiny and hung up. I called back owner was not there manager said there was problem with phones never asked my name or apologized. Therefore gave my name asked her to tell owners. First eye appointment with Dr. Boyle. He is very friendly and thorough. I was fitted for contact lenses even though I have an astigmatism and need bifocals. My son was examed as well, and the staff was extremely helpful when he needed to choose frames. I highly recommend Vision People for exams, contacts and glasses. read more

Just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Boyle and the staff at Vision People. My daughter called today for an emergency visit. She isn't a regular patient but she works nearby and was recommended by a friend. She woke up this morning with pink eye. Tonight's a holiday so nobody will be open tomorrow. While Dr. Boyle is an excellent optometrist, the front office staff is so incompetent and rude that I won't go there anymore. Deborah forgot to mark up my husband's progressive lenses for the three fields of vision (standard procedure) so they came back defective and needed to be remade. No apology, no price adjustment, just rude defensive blah blah blah afterward. Deborah chats with other customers/cronies and ignores us while she's supposed to be helping choose and adjust frames, dragging the visit out and making it an unpleasant experience. I don't mind that they're expensive but given the bad service and mistakes there are much better choices. read more

I switched to this place from another local Optical Center. I was not disappointed. I received a thorough eye exam and was fitted for glasses. Staff, including Carolyn, is very professional and knowledgeable. They did not try to talk me into anything I didn't need. Glasses fit perfect... I've been here twice so far and while I absolutely have loved the doctors, I've received the cold should from the staff. I've seen other people walk in and get greeted like they're family, people come in after me getting served before me, I sat there ignored while the two ladies in front were looking over a website and discussing it. It's a shame that you're only treated well if you're an old customer. New customers are not welcomed. read more

I'm a TREMENDOUS fan of Vision People. The entire staff is dynamite. Although my fiancee has been branded a serial contact lens abuser, they were able to break his bad habits and his vision has actually improved!! This is nothing short of miraculous. Not only has he embraced his new, healthier habits he went back for a yearly check up. Dr. Lupo treated some eye issues and now my fiancee is on the road to better eye health. I have minimal vision problems but I trust my eye exams to Vision People. read more

My first visit here was great- Having a history of horrible eyes and recent trouble seeing, I came to this appointment very nervous. The staff greeted me nicely and got me seen very quickly. And the doctor made me feel at ease. He answered all 100 questions I had for him with patience and assured me that my eyes were healthy. He even compared the pictures of my eye balls to heathy sample pictures while explaining the anatomy to me! As I was choosing my glasses, they helped me pick out a nice frame. I would love to thank Dr.Boyle and his wonderful staff !!! everyone was exceptionally wonderful and attentive especially the doctor Mr. Boyle he's extremely funny and caring also very informative as far as knowledge concerning my vision. I recently went back because after picking up my new glasses and having them in my possession for three weeks i fell asleep with them on and bended one of the legs from my glasses. As soon as i noticed I called Vision People up and I was able to bring it over the same day and they were able to fix it. We started going to this optometrist a few years ago and we absolutely love it. My wife and kids all wear glasses and contacts so the whole family goes. Debbie at the front desk is a lovely woman, very personable and accommodating. She helped my daughter pick new frames and took her without an appointment when she was running out of contacts. I wanted to get a prescription for new contact lenses so I called and set up an appointment. The doctors and staff are great but their products are overpriced. My insurance covered my eyeglass examination but I was told that my contact lens examination was not covered so I would have to pay $90.  After my examination, they wanted to charge $540 for a 3 month supply of contact lenses and the fitting. I was shocked by the price that they quoted me.  I have been wearing contact lenses for twenty years and the most expensive contact lenses that I have purchased was a little over $100 for extended wear contact lenses which lasted for a year. I contacted an Opthamologist in Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights and Manhattan (the one in Brooklyn Heights was my Opthamologist) and all of them told me that I was being overcharged as they were charging one third of that price.   I contacted Vision People to verify the price and I was told that $540 was the standard price as it was going to cost them that amount of money to have them made.  I was confused as they originally stated that the price was for the lenses and fitting, now it is for the lenses. After I informed them that I contacted three Opthamologist and they told me that I was being overcharged, they offered to reduce the price to $500.  They told me that I could come in, get fitted and pick up the trial contact lenses immediately; also, I would have to return after a few days so that they could make sure that the lenses were right for me.  I told them that those three Opthamologist were charging one third of the price that they were charging; now, I was told "well this is our price". They did not tell me that I had other options like 30 day disposable lenses.  I ordered my contact lenses from CVS Optical so they called to verify the prescription and Vision People recommended the 30 day disposable lenses.  I paid $114 for a year supply of these contact lenses. I am confused as to why they did not recommend these contact lenses in the beginning. I won't return as I would prefer going to my former Opthamologist. read more
