It breaks my heart that I have to come back and update a once glowing testimony about this place but after being an established patient at this office for primary care I now am being left on a back burner and having my needs ignored. What once felt like a teammate on my side helping me reach my healthcare goals has now become just another form of control over my life keeping me "in my place" and disallowing me from getting what I need to live my best life. Gatekeeping behavior from office staff who shut me down and are rude and abrupt when dealing with me. They put things in my chart that rightly have no place and then when questioned about it my request are outright ignored. They misinterpret my requests and then send me a cold sharp email outlining why they will not assist me with my request even though they openly admit in the email to have misinterpreted my request and are just trying to make my life difficult. Be careful who you trust to take care of you and your family because once they start putting stuff into your medical records its there for forever and there is no correction to their mistakes that rooted in their misinterpretation of the information you provide them. They will then blame you for not having provided true and correct information so I would advise everyone to take your request to this office in writing and only in writing and to always retain a written copy for your own records so they can not do to you what they are doing to me. read more

I've been a patient of the facility here in Temecula for several years now, under a Dr. Jeremy Gomer, who was originally, I thought, a decent doctor, he seemed to actually listen to me and the suggestions I made. Unfortunately, as time went by, too busy?, it got worse! He had me in for an "annual check up" last year, had me drawing pictures of clocks like I was in second grade or something, no actual physical at all, had insisted I get bloodwork done, which I had, he didnt even look at it! Oh, he did use his stethoscope to make sure I had a heartbeat on his way out, kind of an afterthought! They then insisted I had to come back in AGAIN in six months after yet another session of bloodwork, no explanation, and no I have no medical issues besides migraines. They didnt like it when I told them I had no intention of getting more bloodwork in only six months, especially since he hadnt even gone over any of it this last time with me, recommended is approximately 3-5 years unless there is a medical condition warranting it, there isnt. Anyway, I've received several prescriptions from him, some are actually CURRENT ones that I take, I contacted his office today and they told me I was no longer a patient there, didnt even ask WHY I was calling, and hung up on me. Said I hadnt been in there since last May, so??? I called back again, ten minutes on hold, and the office manager proceeded to tell ME I was rude, because they'd asked questions and NOT given me an opportunity to answer and then hung up on me - twice? I never got a chance to tell them WHY I was calling. My prescription BY Dr. Gomer will no longer be paid by my insurance so they needed him to contact them to do something called a Prescription Drug Determination so I can continue to receive this (Emgality for migraines). This is an actual current prescription BY Dr. Gomer for me and his office refuses to pass my message onto him. Bottom line: I would NOT recommend going to this facility or Dr. Gomer, whatever office he's currently at! I've never seen such rude office workers in my life and I've seen some pretty awful ones in this area now unfortunately. Office help can make or break a practice, I wonder if Dr. Gomer know that yet? ‍ The office help by name are: Valerie and Chelsea, asst. office manager and manager and I didnt catch the name of the gal who answered the phone at the front desk, but they're all pretty much the same there, BAD! read more

I switched to Dr. Gomer about 9 months ago after becoming dissatisfied with my primary care provider. It was becoming increasingly difficult to see anybody other than his PA. At my first visit with Dr. Gomer, he reviewed with me my health issues and meds, and instantly made some changes to my meds without explanation until I asked for the reasons. My next visit was a big disappointment. I signed up for his weight loss program. I was to meet with Dr. Gomer and his weight loss person. She spent all the time speaking about herself and her achievements, but barely scratched the surface in describing the program or asking me what I hoped to achieve. She also informed me that Dr. Gomer had to leave for a meeting and that I would be seeing another doctor. After waiting in the room for about 10 minutes, Dr. Gomer popped in to inform me had was short on time and I needed to reschedule this appointment. I almost did not return, except my wife had also moved over from our shared prior primary and had only a very positive experience. I report all this because I am so glad I gave Dr. Gomer a second chance. Since that not-so-good visit, I have had only positive experiences. He has always been on time (an amazing feat for a doc), spent whatever time was needed with me, answered all my questions, and we developed a plan for weight loss, eliminating (not just treating symptoms, but the root cause) of my health issues, and meds. Since putting the plan in place and with monthly follow-ups, I have eliminated two meds and am close to eliminating one more, leaving only three left. I have also lost 30 pounds in the process. What I have found with Dr. Gomer is that if you want very targeted treatment to achieve your weight, health, and medication goals, you must be proactive and take responsibility for communicating what you wish to achieve and follow the treatment plan as outlined. I highly recommend Dr. Gomer. Remember, sometimes a first or early impression may be inaccurate. I suggest you take at least 3 months to decide whether Dr. Gomer is a good fit for you, and early on, clearly communicate your longer-term goals. PS: Robert is great. His bedside manner and follow-through are fantastic. read more

Dr. Gomer is excellent. There phone response is excellent. There is always a another Doctor or an NP available if Dr. Gomer is not immediately available. His staff is the the friendliest of any Doctor's office I have attended. The Medical Assistants (MA) are excellent. In particular Tiffany and Valerie who are the nicest MA's I have ever had tend to me and my wife. They both are a big asset to Virtue Primary Care. In 71 years of life I have never had such poor unprofessional services by a Drs office. Jeremy is a personable guy. He has many positive slogans all over the walls in his office. None of which the office practices. The staff has continually dropped the ball with referrals, not returned calls to myself or my insurance company. They rarely answer the phone which is backed up by my insurance company. I could go on and on about the poor treatment I've experienced. Not gonna do that. Instead, I fired Virtue Primary Care and going elsewhere. read more

I've been with Dr. Gomer's office for about 1 year now (first visit, annual visit, and some referrals and labwork in between). Dr. Gomer and his staff have been consistently kind, personable, and SO accommodating! Everything that I've needed from nursing school compliance requirements to personal health needs, they've been able to help me with. I haven't had any hassle. They're flexible and a quick phone call away whenever I have questions. Proud to be focusing on my health + holistic, preventative, and coordinated care with them. read more

This one is hard to do, I didn't want to leave a bad review. Gomer and Evelyn are great. However, their staff is horrible, specifically Tiffany. If you need a pre authorization, She won't call you back, you have to constantly call and hope she is available to answer. The one time she did answer she said she was going to submit the authorization to the insurance company but never did. My pharmacy reached out to her multiple times, my insurance company, who should be the slow one, reached out multiple times as well as myself. The staff answering phones wasn't very nice when explaining the situation to her as well that we need to figure out a different solution because Tiffany isn't doing her job. I was very respectful about it but they were not. It has made it so that my family and I no longer want to go there. 5 star doctors but 1 star staff, especially Tiffany, she needs to be fired for lying and not doing her job. read more

It has been almost a year since seeing the doctor, which was also my first visit, so this review is based off the front office. I called at the time of my appointment to inform them that I was running 5-10 minutes late. The front desk tells me that there's a 15 minute grace period but then says, "let me check" and comes back telling me I have to reschedule. I would have definitely been well within the 15 minute grace period but instead offers me a phone appointment for the following day. It has been almost a whole year since seeing the doctor and I requested a yearly exam and so to me, an in person appointment makes sense. read more

Dr. Jeremy Gomer is the best doctor I've ever had, and I've had great doctors in the past. I started visiting him sometime towards the end of last year as a new patient and he spent time getting to know me before checking everything that I asked him to. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed every step of the way, talking me through everything. Dr. Gomer is extremely kind, attentive, gentle, and humble. I sometimes forget that he's my doctor because of his down to earth demeanor. I've gone to see him twice so far and I've already grown to really appreciate his staff for their professional yet warm treatment. They don't make me feel like I am somehow bothering them in any way and are always so courteous whether it be in person or on the phone. Amazing first visit with my new Dr, Jeremy Gomer! Dr. Gomer was as advertised -- caring, patient, communicative, and willing to suggest possible options, while never making me feel lectured or pushed into any one direction. I was beyond surprised, as my last primary care doctors either a) yelled at and seemed annoyed by me, and was just a nurse practitioner and not somebody who went to medical school or b) never called back as promised to actually schedule an initial appointment despite repeated attempts and conversations with their staff. If you want a Dr. that thinks outside the box, listens to every word you say, then offers multiple solutions, Dr. Gomez is for you. He takes his time and is warm and kind. Being a smoker, the typical mainstream Dr. always says you must quit (no kidding, I know this) Dr. Gomer told me "When you're ready let me know, I will help you". I found that refreshing and sincere and left me feeling like taking the leap to stop more so than ever, he's not pushy. He's an amazing Dr. and I'm so happy I found him. I highly recommend Doctor Jeremy Gomer. The best doctor anyone could ever have. He will go out of his way to take care of your health problems you may have. He is definitely one of the few true doctor, left in days we are living in now. He is good listener, kind , patient and knowledgeable.
