Dr Hizon has a horrible bedside manner. I will never see him again! Practically called me a liar!

I called several orthopedic surgeons to try to get an appointment, but Dr. Alexander was the only one willing to fit me into his busy schedule within a couple of days. Everywhere else had a 3-4 week wait. Right away, I could tell this place truly cares. When I met Dr. Alexander, he was kind, compassionate, and honest. He took the time to thoroughly explain my injury, treatment options, and what to expect. I was so relieved that we were able to go with a non-surgical treatment--just a cast! I could tell that he avoids unnecessary or invasive procedures and genuinely wants patients to receive the care they need in the most affordable way possible. He even suggested ordering a walking boot on Amazon to save money. I really appreciated how much he and his staff cared and how friendly they were throughout the whole process. I'll admit I was a little nervous beforehand because I had seen some negative reviews, but I'm so glad I found this place. Thank you so much! I'm actually looking forward to my follow-up appointment in six weeks.

This time, we were forced to find one around Temecula because of our insurance so we searched on Yelp and saw that Doctor Uhler had really HIGH RATINGS! CARE QUALITY: 10/10 ALL of the staff at the front desk were all pretty young and mature. They are more patient over the phone and in person than most other front desk staff we've been too. They are all nice and beautiful folks. Cameron was a sweet heart who checked our blood pressure... DOCTOR UHLER: 10/10 He came in and just sat down with me and my husband. He really took his time to TALK and get to know us. We didn't feel rushed like most other offices we've been to. I remember spending about 5-15 minutes speaking with other doctors. I mean I understand doctors are busy but, doctor uhler spared at least 45 minutes of his time for us. We both have back problems so we were speaking to the right person. He gave us some referrals for physical therapy, requests for lab work and colonoscopy for my husband... What a GREAT FIND! He was also professionally working with Olympic Champions!! Doctor Uhler is patient, empathic and humble... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Uhler

This was one of the worst physician-patient experiences I have ever had…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but after everything that has happened, I feel I have an obligation to warn other patients about Dr. Roghani. I came to Dr. Roghani after suffering a traumatic shoulder injury while country western dancing. My arm was overhead during a fast spin when my feet caught on the grass. I felt a distinct pop followed immediately by severe pain, weakness, and loss of function. From that day forward, I could not sleep on my right shoulder, could barely lift my arm, struggled with everyday activities, and repeatedly explained that this was not an age-related problem. This was a specific injury with an exact moment of onset. Unfortunately, I never felt that my history mattered. Instead, I felt that Dr. Roghani had already decided on my diagnosis before fully considering my mechanism of injury or my symptoms. I was repeatedly told I had a "stiff shoulder," that I was 50 years old and that these things happen with age. I was told to use heat and begin physical therapy. When I questioned the diagnosis because I knew something was seriously wrong, I was met with comments such as: "I do this for a living." "Do you not trust me?" "What do you want me to do, just schedule surgery?" Those comments made me feel dismissed and embarrassed for simply asking questions about my own injury. I was never asking anyone to perform surgery. I was asking someone to listen. I was given a cortisone injection before the diagnostic workup was complete because I was told I had a stiff shoulder. At no time was I told that this treatment could delay surgery if a significant rotator cuff injury was later discovered. When I returned for my MRI results, Dr. Roghani walked into the room, introduced himself as if we had never met, and appeared unsure why I was there. After I reminded him I was there for my MRI results, he simply told me: "You're fine. No rotator cuff tears." I left his office in tears because I knew my body, and I knew something was wrong. The only reason I eventually received the correct diagnosis is because I refused to accept being dismissed. I continued advocating for myself until an MR arthrogram was finally performed. The MR arthrogram revealed a Grade 3 articular-sided partial tear of the supraspinatus tendon, a high-grade partial rotator cuff tear. I then sought another orthopedic opinion. The physician reviewing the arthrogram explained that the tear completely explained my symptoms and was entirely consistent with the way I was injured, with my arm overhead during the incident. I have now been scheduled for surgery. Unfortunately, because I received a cortisone injection during my initial treatment, my current surgeon has advised that my surgery cannot be performed until October 27. He explained that he will not perform a rotator cuff repair until enough time has passed after the injection because of the increased risk of postoperative infection. As a result, I now face additional months of pain, weakness, sleepless nights, and loss of function while waiting for surgery that could have been performed much sooner. What disappoints me most is not that the original MRI did not identify my tear. Imaging studies are not perfect. What disappoints me is that despite a traumatic injury, an audible pop, severe weakness, inability to sleep, and persistent loss of function, I felt my concerns were repeatedly minimized instead of investigated. Patients know when something has fundamentally changed in their bodies. I knew something was wrong from the moment I was injured. I am grateful I trusted my instincts and continued advocating for myself. Had I simply accepted the diagnosis I was given, I would likely still be treating a "stiff shoulder" while living with an untreated high-grade rotator cuff tear. If your symptoms don't match the explanation you're being given, don't be afraid to seek a second opinion. It changed everything for me.
