It's been my experience, that doctors are not thinking of their patients needs, but how many test they can put you through, I believe that's how they make some of their money. Dr. Z (Zickafoose) is my Primary and she was referred to me by a good friend. I have never been so happy as I am with this super professional and kind practice. My last doctor, stared at his computer and never really acknowledged me. And it was always a rushed appointment it seems.... TELE visits were a 3 minute phone call. Danielle Contreras, NP was very thorough with my TELE visit and she did it via video conference, I was so happy I didn't have to drag myself out of bed and she took her time. To say I am beyond thrilled would be an understatement.

I absolutely hate going to the doctor and it drives my anxiety through the roof just thinking about it. Haven't been to a doctor since my OBGYN when I had my baby almost two years ago and knew that I needed a checkup! She is so sweet and friendly and puts you at ease, there was a nurse there as well (I believe his name was Joel) who was also awesome. I loved the feeling of not being "judged" as I answered all the basic health questions. Dr. Matta has an excellent bedside disposition and calmly answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. She patiently listened to all my concerns without making me feel paranoid and ordered a full blood panel to check all my numbers. I am so lucky to have found her and I'm hoping I can continue with their practice for years to come. Thank you so much for your excellent service!

There is a lack of operational efficiency at every turn. Enough to warrant a poor review on Yelp which I hate doing but people....BE WARNED especially if you are expecting timely service while trying to address a health issue. Calling the office is an infinite hold queue that EASILY exceeds 30 minutes. I did my best to give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a busy day but I am now on my 5th attempt to contact this office and my hold time today exceed 41 minutes before I gave up. Our 1st telehealth appointment was confusing, Dr. Matta was late, then there were zero instructions on how to obtain scripts for labs. We weren't informed which lab the requests were sent to. Since you can't efficiently get ahold of anyone on the phone this required my husband to make an extra trip to drive across town to find out in person. Now let's chat about the Patient Portal where we messaged the Doctor on February 11th and the office did not return our call/message for A MONTH. 2nd appointment. Our $100 copay was conveniently collected but our appointment time came and went with zero communication from the office. I remained in a hold queue for 30 minutes, about to hang up when a text comes through with a Zoom link. Dinner is now cold, there is zero respect for patient time and I am expected to join this call as if I was not just completely inconvenienced at the cost of $100. At the end of the day we are all trying to navigate a broken system. Practices that have zero respect for patient time are not helping. I can't in good faith recommend this office with my recent experience that spanned over a few months.

Like most people, life gets busy. Between work, family, and everything else, writing reviews tends to fall to the bottom of the list. Fortunately, this one is easy. From the moment you walk through the door, you're treated with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. The front office staff and the medical team consistently deliver an exceptional experience. They are knowledgeable, efficient, compassionate, and organized, making every visit as smooth and stress-free as possible. Over the years, changes in my health insurance have given me several opportunities to choose a different primary care physician. Every single time, I have gone out of my way to stay with Dr. Black and this incredible team. That decision has never been difficult because the level of care they provide is simply unmatched. Finding outstanding medical treatment is one thing. Finding outstanding medical treatment paired with customer service that is warm, respectful, and consistently above and beyond is something truly special. It's rare these days, but this practice proves it still exists. A special thank you to Holly, Susie, and Jamie. Your kindness, professionalism, and dedication never go unnoticed. She's straightforward and gets what needs to be done, done. She has given my husband great care. The office is clean and organized and the front desk woman is very helpful and sweet. So far the two nurses he's had were great too. The reason for the 4 is because it is VERY hard to get a hold of anyone in charge of the referrals and if you ask the front office to take a message they say they can't. I left 2 voicemails and never got a call back. Frustrated is an understatement. Overall I do recommend Dr. Freyne as a Rheumatologist.

I went to the Temecula office I've always used, only to be told I was at the wrong location. At no point was I informed that my appointment location had changed. To make matters worse, they had also switched my doctor without communicating that to me either. After rearranging my schedule and coming back for another appointment, I was checked in, taken to an exam room, and then left there for over 30 minutes past my appointment time with no updates or explanation. I understand that medical offices can run behind, but basic communication and respect for a patient's time should be expected. The biggest frustration is that this practice has become so large and corporate that it's nearly impossible to speak with a real person. Getting answers or resolving simple issues feels impossible. What was once a practice I trusted has become one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I've had. Poor communication, scheduling mistakes, last-minute provider changes, and long unexplained wait times have convinced me it's time to find a new primary care physician.
