Sylvanula Dulanto is the most DISREPCTFUL NP I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She puts patients down who arent educated and interrupts her patients and their family. She tried hiding results from us, the family, and I will never recommend this facility. The first dementia test that was administered was compromised by technical difficulties and should be been restarted. Dulanto decided to accept the results from the compromised exam and we had to fight to get another exam to be readministered. She constantly interrupts her patients, and their families not letting them speak which is a huge matter of respect. Dealing with Dementia testing is a sensitive and the concerns of the patient and family should be addressed first and foremost. Not ignored, interrupted and spoken over. During the second 'scientific' exam called a Moca Test. She made a very disrepectful comment about my father having 'only been to high school'. Why it seems like nothing while reading it in a review, the tone and the conduct was completely unprofessional. When we brought my father in to have the Moca test done, he was taken to an exam room where the test was administered and then he was told to leave. We were not given results. He had to speak up and fight to see the results. They didnt need time to be processed as they had them all written out. There was no reason, that she or her staff couldnt have had had us wait and given us the results right there and then without us having to speak up. Do not come here. before I write a review, I always take the time to read other reviews to make sure my experience was unusually good or unusually bad. That being said, it seems Dr. O provides personal, uncrushed and complete diagnosis with all his patients. It is more than the service I received, it was the experience that truly stood out. From the time I made the appointment to the time that I had my appointment, his staff was on point to make sure forms, medication lists, etc. were completed. At the appointment Dr. O took almost 40 minutes with me asking me in detail about my condition, medical history, injuries, etc. where and when it effects me and affects my ability to work, etc. Rather than the usual 10-15 exam and script for a drug, he really made me feel like I am a VIP. Heck, we even talked basketball and football. Here is what prompted me to give him a 5 star review-a few days after my appointment, he asked how I was doing on the new medication. He asked me, not his staff, nurse, PA. The Doc himself communicated with me, and that, after office hours. He was probably with his family or something, but took the time to check in on me and make sure I am OK. WOW. Dr. Olivo was recommended to my wife by her Primary Care Manager based on her condition (numbness in her right leg from her foot to her hip). Dr. Olivo reviewed her (3) MRI's and reports and immediately scheduled her for an appointment. During her visit Dr. Olivo listened attentively while my wife described her symptoms. Dr. Olivo asked questions about her condition to develop a treatment plan. Based on her visit she was immediately admitted to Loma Linda-Murrieta. She has been hospitalized for 3 days now and her health is improving. Dr. Olivo is working closely with Dr. Jeffrey Edmunds to ensure the highest level of treatment. I do not understand these positive reviews for Dr. Olivo and his wife. I feel humiliated with the level of effort I've had to put in just to attempt to get treatment from him for my epilepsy. Don't expect him nor the staff to be polite or professional past the first appointment either. I've been on an epileptic medication that is NOT DOING GOOD FOR ME. It's absolutely terrible at this point. I've needed a VEEG to be able to be prescribed the proper medication, I've had the referral for over a year and a half now. Im unable to find a neurologist to have the willingness to properly communicate with UCSD medical to make it happen. What is the point of a Doctor's office if you cannot send a correct referral out? It was 4 1/2 months ago now that he told me in person I need the video EEG for him to give me proper treatment, I agreed and tried to explain to him why I wasn't able to get it yet, He didn't have time to listen. He, His wife and Cynthia chose to take 3 weeks from that date to fax the referral over to the UCSD hospital, They needed phone call reminders to do so also!. Cynthia at Olivo's office sent a referral with the wrong description and the wrong code 3 times over the span of 2 months. Only called me back once to give me update in this 4 1/2 month process and it was to tell me that "The hospital stay VEEG is not covered by my insurance, So Dr. Olivo is going to refer me to a local Epileptologist hoping if they order the VEEG referral it will be approved," This was a LIE and his office staff is a MESS. Saying lies because they won't take the time to get the correct information? I found out it was a lie 2 weeks after that when I got a blessed call from a Doctor in the epileptic department at UCSD, Telling me that she's been trying to expedite me on the waiting list of VEEGs but cannot schedule me for the hospital stay because Dr. Olivo keeps sending the wrong referrals, That he HAS to send a referral to the EPILEPTIC DEPARTMENT NEUROLOGIST AT UCSD in specific for me to be able to have an overnight VEEG like I need. It had nothing to do with it getting approved by insurance, It was approved by insurance over a year ago. The Doctor as UCSD medical left multiple messages to Dr. Olivo's office specifying the referral needs to be for UCSD, And so did I. No response to me, And to UCSD medical they just keep faxing over a referral to a Temecula epileptologist. 4 1/2 months pushing through this for nothing, I'm still unable to schedule the VEEG and get treatment for my epilepsy because Dr. Olivo's office is incapable or unwilling to send the right referral to UCSD. The VEEG has been approved by my insurance for over a year, Im person 4 1/2 months ago he ordered me to get the VEEG and I've been calling trying to schedule since the fallowing week. If there was truly any care for patients amongst the staff at Dr. Olivo's they would've called UCSD medical back, Taken proper instructions for sending the referral and sent it. Then I would've been able to schedule the veeg within a month of him ordering it like rightfully expected. Neither him, His office or his wife have addressed this, Given me any response or explanation. But he did send me a referral for a different neurologist with no instruction! What a waste of a year being a patient to this neurologist without receiving a SPECK of help with epilepsy, Just for him to put me through the ringer and referr me to a Temecula neurologist. If there was something about me personally that prevented him from being willing to act professional and mannerly with this referral process, He should've done the right thing and stated it so we could cutt things off peacefully 5 months ago, Before I've gone through this humiliating stress trying to get the right referral over for nothing. I've been desperately needing a solution to the side affects of this medication, And have no one else to help me navigate to a stable health with epilepsy. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE if you need proper medical treatment!! PLEASE GOD DON'T COME HERE IF YOU HAVE EPILEPSY. They will leave you to die and just send you a referral to another neurologist when your on your death bed! This OFFICE is based around the EGO and wallet of Dr. Olivo and his wife! It's not about striving for proper healthcare for patients, And professionalism or merely not having an asshole attitude is far from that office. Don't expect to get fallow up calls or anything but them taking your insurance money either. It's a dangerous place for patients who really need help, Because you won't get it. The priority of Dr. Olivo taking your insurance money and paying off his school debt will be more important that the thousands of lives in this area that need a neurologist they could trust. Brought my dad to him yesterday they thoroughly tested him , just not some 15-minute..fast. exam. checked his reflex everything it was a mental test. My daughter is a patient of Dr. Olivo's. She has epilepsy and experiences Grand Mal seizures. Anyone with any knowledge of those, which I'm assuming that all neurologists must have, knows that they can be lethal. Dr. Olivo's office ignored multiple requests prior to the holiday weekend from her pharmacy to refill her medication. Fortunately the pharmacy was able to give her loaners until the following Tuesday when the office reopened. I called the office that morning and spoke to Cynthia, the office administrator and let her know that it was imperative that the pharmacy's request be responded to asap as my daughter needed the meds by the end of the day. Cynthia told me that she would pass it to the back office by 4, it was 9 am. Why wait until the end of the day? After checking with the pharmacy at 3, I started calling the office and it went to voicemail every time, so I went over there. The doors were locked at 350 and I rapped on the window, peering in I saw CYNTHIA HIDING UNDER THE DESK! What?! Thank goodness Dr. Olivo pulled up just then. He let me in and then went and sent her refill through. Dr. Olivo, you are only as good as your staff. If the pharmacy had not been able to give the loaners, and you had not arrived to send the refill request, my daughter would have certainly had a GM seizure which COULD'VE RESULTED IN HER DEATH and YOU would have been responsible, morally, professionally and financially. People's lives are in Cynthia's hands and you are responsible for what she does! read more

Very nice doctor! He's My husband Neuro and he took his time with my very nervous and anxious husband. Answered all his questions in a way that he would understand. Was very patient and acted like he had no where else to be but with us, he is a very good doctor. Probably one of the best my husband has had. He's very knowledgable and shares the knowledge with us but all in a way that is understandable. He's very caring and did all the tests and have results quickly. He covered all bases and didn't leave anything up to assumption. He's on of the best! And his office staff are just as nice! Very clean office space! read more

Dr Olivo has been a God send to my son, we met with him, he listened , asked questions, and ultimately gave us a reason why my son is suffering with seizures, that came out of the blue. Dr. Olivo Identified the cause of something I was experiencing for weeks and within just a few moments of my appointment with him. Something several other doctors and specialists had failed to do and frankly some did not seem interested in doing. He called me to confirm the situation via the blood-work I had completed, which he requested. I can't say enough about him calling to tell me and answering my questions. At a time of uncertainty and anxiousness his call was incredibly valuable and helped me tremendously dealing with what I was going through. He is professional, informational and proactive. Both She and Dr. Olivo are extremely arrogant and condescending people who think their S%#+ don't stink and they lack compassion. . I't was very hurtful to be treated like crap . Especially coming from someone who took an oath to help people through their medical knowledge .. then turn around and treat you like crap is just so rude . My first visit was with Dr Olivo who blew off all my symptoms and brain Injury to saying I needed a neuropsych test -- I've had 3 already . So I did the test and he proceeds to say I need medication for my tremors and eyelid closure . I left feeling annoyed and immediately booked an appointment with his wife Dr Fuentes when I left ...cause she's a movement disorder specialist . At my appointment with her She disagreed with Dr Olivos diagnosis told me not to take the medication he prescribed and did injections for blepharospasm that she diagnosed me with so my eyes would open . On my 2nd visit and after one dose of Botox ... she suddenly changed her mind and was not willing to give me injections to my eyes because " I didn't respond the way she wanted me to " news flash sweetheart not everyone with a brain injury responds to medication the same way .!! Both she and dr Olivo consistently preach some program for neuro cognitive bio feed back psychology junk . Completely ignoring the physiological evidence of my test results that very plainly show I have trauma In every lobe of my brain and and carbon monoxide poisoning to my brain and damage to my basal ganglia which causes tremors and nerve issues& yet that doesn't matter to them . They are ignorant physicians who are too lazy and don't want to help people like me . Someone who has been In multiple road side bomb incidents in Iraq and knocked unconscious .. the evidence is there ! Haven't I suffered enough ? ???But Because my case is too complex she just discharged me and said don't come back unless your seizures change . I PERSONALLY THINK THAT SHE DISCHARGED ME CAUSE OF HER HUSBAND DR OLIVO AND THAT SHE DISAGREED WITH HIS DIAGNOSIS AND SHE EMBARRASSED HIM and wounded his giant EGO ! Meanwhile nerve damage to my eyes has kept my eyes closed for 9 months now . And she won't continue injections to my eyelids so they can open even though I responded to the medication. And had my eyes stay open for like 20 days . She shrugged her shoulders and said this is psychological . Give me a break ! Quit ignoring the test results ! !!! I brought evidence with my SPECT SCAN results ! Thy are absolutely ignorant and rude . And where did they hire that medical assistant ? I couldn't even understand what she was talking about ? She's rambling on and on like a meth head . Not only did the medical assist lose my Disc of medical records that I sent in , .. but when I asked her if I could have them back she argued with me in the lobby and kept cutting me off loudly saying " NNNOOO I gave them back to you !" I finally just walked out no sense in arguing with someone like that . The only nice person was the receptionist up front ! My wife has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia recently after a boat load of tests. This so called doctor saw her several months back and after moving her arms and legs in circles recommends bio feedback at one of his buddies clinic. We walked out leaving him standing there. Now I know where the term " Quack" derived from. This poor man might want to go to med school if he wants to grow up and be a doctor one day. I wouldn't allow him to treat my cat. I waited a month or more to see Dr. Olivo (my first visit was August 9th of this year) even though I really needed to see a neurologist ASAP, as I was going downhill quickly. Our first visit went well, and I got the impression that he cared, and be pro-active on my behalf. Then, near the end of the appointment, he said he wanted to do a nerve conduction study, but the earliest he could do it was almost a full two months away - October 5th! How is THAT helpful? It was pretty clear that I was having some real neurological issues, particularly in my hands and arms, but hey, why should that concern him? Other than ordering the test, he offered no help medically, and I'm NOT talking pain medication. Cut to October 5th, and outside of having the same physical appearance, this is not the same doctor I met in August. Yes, of course it was, but gone was the caring, the concern, any hint of interest in helping me in any way, shape, or form, to get better. As he's prepping me for the test, he tells me that he will be joining another practice, so I won't be seeing him again. I see. It was clear that he had said "Goodbye" - and not with aching heart - at least to me. I have seen this over and over in the year I have been on Medicare - make an appointment, wait for weeks and weeks, finally go in, go through as many tests as can be charged for, ignore test results (the techs tell you more - and understand the results better) than the doctors. But oh, the doctors make sure they get paid! I pay $150 a month for a Medicare supplement that ensures that my doctors get paid promptly and that I have no co-pays. I have had several offices that have tried to double-dip, but when I call my insurance, that particular doctor's office hadn't even submitted the claim yet! They were trying to get paid twice. Let me clarify - neither Dr. Olivo nor his staff did that. Anyway, blah, blah, blah, on and on. I could write a book about the farce that is modern medicine. Maybe I will. read more

I am 23 years post stroke..... With that being said I have seen my fair share of Neurologist.... I was unhappy with my current Neurologist because I was having a seizure every 8 weeks when my finals would come. His reply "It's normal because of anxiety and lack of sleep.... I finally found no joke THE BEST NEUROLOGIST in the world. Dr.Olivo switched up my medication and I haven't had a seizure in almost 5 years!!! Yes 5 years!! I will follow this Doctor wherever he goes! I cannot see myself with a different Neurologist trying to answer my questions when I have them. This guy actually cares about his patients. I will say this though... Thankfully he hired new staff... The last batch... Not that great... ehhh sorry guys... Not meant to be hurtful if you see this.... What a joke his staff is beyond rude my brother got some blood test done 2 weeks ago we can't even get the results to see if they were okay or not. We called in 3 days in a row to follow up since they keep telling us they will have the results ready in 30 minutes or so. I got a called from someone there telling me to stop calling because it's just making things complicated I was so mad because she was being rude. It's obvious she don't have a sick family member that's why she was being rude and didnt understand why I was so worried on getting those results. Well she calls and tells me to stop calling when they have an answer for me they will call me back......it has been now 2 weeks later and I haven't gotten anything from them. I was so upset when she said to stop calling them like wtf this is why she's getting payed to attend the sick patient and give the messages to the DR. This lady who I'm speaking of is KRISTIN... oh and when she was trying to explain to me the whole process of getting the results and how the DR will get back at me with the results I tried to tell her what she said just to make sure I understood what she was saying I think she got bother and was like Oh wow it's obvious you didn't listen to anything I said I did hang up on her after she said to stop calling because of all the messages that where being send to the DR but it was just so rude on how she said It. read more

AMAZING!!! Wonderful!! Sincere and patient. I have never ever met such a nice and calm doctor: EVER!! What a blessing he is for my daughter who has trigeminal neuralgia, a very painful condition.
