I have been here twice now with Pamala Alvarez and let me tell you this has been life changing. If you struggle with migraines then this is the place for you! I really like the assistant lady also, she makes me feel as if she really cares about my migraine struggles. Thanks for the personal touch. I also like the decor here, it is very relaxing. read more

Valley Neurology - Front of #115 - Neurologist Near Me - Murrieta, California

If negative stars could be given I would. I have seen MULTIPLE neurologist over the course of 10+ years and have never dealt with or left an appointment in complete shock of how she treats/deals with patients. Gave her my med hx she said she'd be back 20 minutes later im given my discharge paperwork. With no help no solutions nothing but "Drink Water" dealing with the issue and being medicated for a decade I think the whole drink water is the solution would have worked years ago. Didn't ask for the contact of my other doctors recommending treatment I had it all pulled up waiting for her to 'return' and she never came back. And guess what the kicker is they coded the visit as a high level new patient visit that requires 60-75 minutes funny given I only saw her for 5-10minutes. Needless to say insurances have been contacted formal complaints have been filed. Do not waste your time. read more

I appreciate Dr. Alvarez and her office staff. Dr. Alvarez listened to my medical concerns and was quick to help me. She was right, my Vestibular Migraines and excessive dizziness was indeed a heart issue. My Cardiologist put me on a blood thinner and problems dissipated. She said 'heart' first. read more

Dr Alvarez has been providing care for my father, who has Parkinson's. Her care has been incredible. She has been respectful, kind, and explain things in terms that we can understand. I'm so happy to have her professional care for my father. read more

Pamela Alvarez has the bedside manner of a rattlesnake. Incredibly inconsiderate, rude, obnoxious and openly states that she "doesn't want to waste her time" with you as a patient. My PCP sent me there because I had tremors and my hands were extremely painful. I also had slurred speech, loss of balance, and cognitive issues as well. My PCP wanted to rule out carpal tunnel for my hands but she absolutely refused to do the test. She literally said, "I don't care about your tremors, your slurred speech or anything else. I'm not wasting my time with you." It took me over an hour to get to her office, which was a tremendous event for me to have to drive in addition to the pain in my hands. As someone who is supposed to be a medical professional, the bar must have been set pretty low when she got licensed. read more

My Parents were just there earlier today and were treated in an atrociously inhumane manner Considering that there elderly my father has some memory issues and my husband had to take the day to drive them there. I intend to file a complaint but see the reviews here as to the doctor herself I have little hope that they will take it seriously. Maybe we need to start filing complaints with a medical board instead. Shameful behavior by office staff that works in a helping field. read more

I DO NOT recommend this Dr. front desk staff are extremely rude!! Never did anything to help with my condition. I will not be going back and hope you don't either read more

Don't be fooled. She claims to be able to help you then when things start to go south, she has her nurse (Jennifer) call you and say you should see another doctor because she's not qualified. No kidding. I've been going to this practice for two years for migraine/cluster headaches and most of the time I knew more about new medications, new technology, migraine conferences, etc. than she did. I keep charts, journals, notes, etc so I can keep my doctor fully informed about my progress. Being my own advocate and taking control of my own medical treatment started a long time ago. I guess what I'm saying is even I was fooled by the shiny gadgets and cool demeanor. So be careful. Read the reviews. Don't be afraid to find a real doctor! read more

This Dr lacks bedside manners and basic humanity. She talks to patients like it is an inconvenience to her to see them. If I could give her Zero stars, I would. Do not go to this place. You need a Dr that is caring and actually shows compassion and makes you feel that she wants what's best for you. I will definitely be reporting her to my insurance. If she doesn't want to take any patients because it is an inconvenience to her, then the insurance should note that in their system. read more

Horrible practice, Dr Alvarez decides to go on vacation and leave her patients hanging in regards to filling out her portion for my disability claim. This Dr cares nothing for her patients only for the money brought in. I have been waiting for my claim to be complete for over 3 weeks. Wow .. Staff is also no help whatsoever read more

Dr. Alvarez is Great. I went to another neurologist and wasn't happy. My cousin and I have Multiple sclerosis and we both see her. It's tough to get an appt...but I've always felt like she listened to me. Shes quite busy but with the wait. read more

Dr. Alvarez is amazing!! Another local neurology office diagnosed me (via MRI) with a mini stroke. Imagine my surprise when Dr. Alvarez (who I visited for a second opinion) explained to me that BY DEFINITION a mini stroke would not show up on an MRI. That's precisely what separates a mini stroke from a stroke. Needless to say, I've switched over to her office...and I never intend on looking back!! read more

Horrible practice at Valley Neurology. Dr Alvarez was the most unprofessional medical professional I've ever been to. Not only was she talking down to me the whole visit, she cut me off anytime I tried to explain any medical history pertaining to my multiple sclerosis. The appointment ended with her saying she can't take me as a patient because my MS is too advanced which I am thankful for. I'd rather kill myself than be under that woman's care. read more

FRONT DESK is the most RACIST, RUDE, pieces of shits I have ever encountered. English is my wife's second language... prior to us getting married she was on medical and when she went to the hospital they took her CT and MRI scans. Fast forward one year, we are now married and she is attempting to make a appointment with this office, she gives them her previous name to find her records from the hospital to send the scans to this office, and they state they would not take her because of her insurance. However, we are now married and she is now under my insurance (PPO Full coverage). They declined her still and state they will not accept her. So.... I call and attempt to explain the situation, the lady at the front desk states they will not accept her because her primary insurance is medical (which is complete BS because she canceled her medical and is now solely under my insurance). This place is a joke, I'd give them zero stars if I could. read more

Save your money and go elsewhere. Waited two months for an appointment with Dr. Alvarez. According to her, it is normal to have multiple herniated discs throughout the spine and a pinched spin cord as shown in mrj images. I am 21 years old, nothing normal about this. After being involved in a car accident with a semi truck, I have been experiencing weakness, numbness , and tingling in the right extremities. Dr. Alvarez asked me why I was even there and told me she couldn't help me read more

I really don't like to judge a Dr. based on one visit - this is the only reason I'm giving a two star. I agree w many of these posts though - your treated very cold - she talks down to you & not interested in looking @ reports either . I'd never recommend this doc. read more

This doctor is the biggest joke, I would have had a better chance of more help at an urgent care. If I were you I wouldn't waste my time. Her bedside manner is awful. Before she even listened to my symptoms she told me she had no idea why I was there and that she couldn't do anything for me. And I was given a referral by my other doctor to see her. She then left the room to go call my doctor to get my more information and after about 15 minutes, her nurse came back in and said there is nothing they can do for me and that I need to go back to my doctor for the next step. She spent a totally of about 5 minutes. I will be calling my insurance to deny the claim. Worst doctor ever!!!! I would give her a negative 5 if I could. read more

worst experience. they only take your paperwork and sign specific days when "she's available" not when you absolutely need it. they are there most unprofessional neurologist I have ever been to. do not recommend. they don't give correct info and definitely have received a little attitude with some of the workers. read more

Dr. Alvarez is a complete joke. Not only does she lack bedside manners, compassion, empathy, and respect for any patient that walks through her doors; but she also has no regard for you as a person. The least she could do is keep her sighing and attitude to herself. The only reason we saw this awful choice of a Dr was because she was the only one in the area who accepted my mil insurance. Do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs. read more

Found this facility for my father as a referral from his MD. Very nice staff and office. I especially like their medical assistants. Dr. Alvarez seems young but is extremely knowledgeable. Excellent bedside manner and, even though my dad is a little out of it, she fully involves him in the conversation if his care. Would highly recommend this place! read more

Was very pleased with my sons first visit here. AS PER THE ER doctors instructions, we were to follow-up with Dr Alvarez within 1-2 days. The front office staff was able to get him in the next day instead of waiting until October. Beautiful office and professional front office staff. Dr Alvarez was very kind, knowledgeable and showed genuine concern for my sons condition. She was quick to get him the tests he needed. Highly recommend. read more

Dr. Alvarez is One of a kind Doctor!! I have known her over 10 years as well as my Mom being cared for by her! She is an Outstanding Professional and very Knowledgeable!! She pays attention to details and care about well-being of her patients!! While I was in the hospital she came to check on me on (Saturday) outside her schedule to make sure I will make it through due to the nature of my illness and indeed I am very grateful to be cared by her! I recommend her highly based on my long time experience!! I have great respect for her to Safe my life and taking extra mile to make sure her patients well cared to have healthy life. Staff is horribly unorganized and was demeaning when we brought it to their attn. As our only option, we had to visit this office. Dr Alverez is an amazing Dr!!! She is GREAT!!! The staff on the other hand show very little attn. to detail and often argue. 1 star. We will happily drive over an hour to be treated with care and compassion. read more

It's to bad this place can't aquire medication or keep appointments. We were really looking forward to working with Dr. Alvarus but the office staff just can't seem to get it together. If you have any other options go there. The first appointment they couldnt get the medication in time and call us the afternoon prior to us this. They also had three months to aquire the medication I might add. We waited for them to get the medication which arrived the day after our appointment due to us calling the pharmacy ourselves. We didn't get a phone call to reschedule the appointment from Briana either. We called and the soonest we could get was three months away. About a month into waiting for the appointment Briana called and said she had a cancellation at 10 o'clock the next day. We accepted the appointment and we took the time off of work last minute so we could go together. We arrived 15 minutes early to have Briana telling us that my fiance miss heard her and the appointment was in fact Thursday at 10 not Wednesday at 10. The fact that they can't take blame and admit to their mistakes is the worse part of the entire process. So if want waste 4 months of your time like us, please use this office but if you don't want to, I would pass on this place. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could! I went to see her to seek a second opinion as I had been treated by her in the past. Big mistake! She was condescending, rude, didn't look at me just kept typing on her computer and wrote her "impression" of me to my PCP saying that essentially nothing was wrong with me. My PCP was so angry with the way this "dr" treated me that she suggested I file a grievance! Don't see this woman (not worthy of being called dr) unless you want to waste your money and feel like crap when you walk out of her office!!! read more

I would absolutely NOT recommend Dr Alvarez. In my initial appointment I found her to be short, cool, dismissive, and did not take the time to explain her findings / reasoning re medical assessment. She was curt in her responses. She left the room saying she was going to "look for information from my referring MD" and she did not & would not return. Her nurse said she was not available to answer my remaining questions. I was not at all pleased with the visit but decided to have the MRI and follow up appointment in case she was just having a bad day. For my follow up appointment, where i was to get the results of my MRI I was 11 minutes late due to a navigation error because my app "heard" the wrong medical practice. I called to let them know I had gone to wrong address and less than 2 miles away and to check that i was going to still be able to see the MD. They confirmed that I would be able to see her. I arrived 3:41 - 11 minutes late which they informed me was 1 minute past Dr Alvarez's cutoff and even though I had called she would not see me. I waited well over 10 minutes to see the MD when I had my initial consultation... I cannot imagine I had missed being taken back to the exam room or to see the MD. I wish I had asked but I didn't. I have the feeling they would not have given me the information anyway. I am a medical professional and have had my own practice for 20 years and I do not have nor could i imagine having such rigid operating standards with my patients. Especially when they were to be getting the results from such an important diagnostic procedure. And especially when I am not able to live up to the same standards I am placing on them. read more

Dr. Alvarez seems to actually care. I see her for chronic migraines. Recently I had a headache every day for 2 months straight. She ordered several things right away to reset the headaches which I normally get about 3 to 4 a week. I'm feeling a lot better this morning. I gave her 4 stars, because once she sees you and walks out of the room, she does not come back in. Her nurse comes in. So be sure to ask all of your questions while doctor is in the room. She also referred me to a psychiatrist and therapist in the past when I was experiencing quite a bit of depression. read more
