I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at the end of December 2023 and referred to Dr. D by my surgeon. I still remember him saying, "You're going to love her--she's feisty and funny." I was officially referred to this office on 12/29/23 and had my initial appointment with Dr. D on 1/3/24. From that very first visit, she explained my staging, reviewed treatment options, and allowed me to ask every question I had. That was the start of my journey. For six months, I received chemotherapy every other week, and at every appointment she made her rounds to talk to me, review my bloodwork, check in on how I was doing, and ALWAYS gave me the space to ask questions. We often joked about my little notebook because I always brought it with me, filled with questions or notes about symptoms. I wanted to make sure she knew everything I was experiencing, and she respected that I was very in tune with my body. If something felt off, she truly listened, took note, and considered my feedback. Early in treatment, I was hospitalized for several days. Her wonderful assistant, Beatriz, called to check on me one day, and then Dr. D herself called the next. She and her team communicated directly with the hospital staff, so everyone was on the same page about my care. That meant so much to me. I have since completed treatment, and I am now one year NED (no evidence of disease). Dr. D continues to monitor me closely with scans and bloodwork, and I still go in for port flushes. Whenever I see her, I always make sure to say hello. Dr. D is incredibly knowledgeable in her field and knows her stuff. She never sugarcoated things, but she delivered the truth in a way that was direct, never rude. I appreciated that honesty. Our personalities clicked instantly, and I truly believe God could not have placed a better doctor in my life--He knew exactly who I needed in my corner. I also have to give major kudos to the nurses: De, Taylor, and Judzy were AMAZING! While I know this is their job, they always made me feel cared for and seen. They showed genuine empathy, took an interest in my life outside of chemo, and were consistently kind throughout the entire process. Ms. Trina, who drew my blood before I had my port placed, is also unforgettable--her energy is so special. You feel love and comfort just being around her. My five-star review is solely for the individuals mentioned above, because while they were outstanding, I do feel there is room for improvement in other areas. For example, when I first began treatment, the receptionist at the front desk was wonderful ( I cannot recall her name). She was so kind, personable, and clearly knowledgeable about the check-in and scheduling process. After my very first appointment, she already knew my name and greeted me personally every time after that. I really valued that. Unfortunately, one day she was simply gone, and I have no idea what happened. All I can say is that CCAre truly lost a gem of an employee. The others that have followed and filled in/replaced since, just have not been the same. Heck, they don't even know my name. read more

I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis in the lungs and liver. The large tumor was removed from my colon but the metastasis could not be operated on my lungs and liver. I went through 12 rounds of intensive chemo starting around September 2023 at Dr. D's office and am now in every three weeks for maintenance level chemo. It all sucks but Dr. D is very attentive and goes over everything. I am not an "easy" patient, I tend to fall off the radar from time to time (have I mentioned that chemo sucks?) but I'm still going through it. Her support staff is amazing! Beatriz always follows up with anything I have needed, their lab tech is amazing, and the nursing staff always makes the best of a crappy situation. read more

Cancer is a thief, it's no fun & I hate it. I was referred to Dr. Doraiswamy's office by my Pulmonologist Dr. Lee. My first visit with Dr. Doraiswamy was pleasant. She sat with me and answered all my questions pertaining to my lung cancer diagnosis. Each & every visit she makes sure she sit with ALL the patients and literally hold your hand if necessary. She is smart & intelligent and she gave me an article from the New England Journal of Medicine directly related to her plan for me! She communicates direc with my other doctors to stay on the same page ( I mean what can you ask for)....Thzz as td not the best part of this office. Their billing person automatically signed me up for grants that paid my medicine co-pay and brome current on my out of pocket with my insurance company. Her Medical Assistant makes sure to see me when I am in office ALL the staff simply waits on you hand and feet! If you are unfortunate enough to need an oncologist, it is a challenge to find one that you both like and respect. I found that in "Dr. D." Over nine years ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (PDAC). It was stage IIB. Dr. D prescribed a chemo regimen that was extremely effective (as measured by blood tumor markers). I had a million questions and Dr. D's bedside manner was charming throughout. I had issues about possible radiation and where to have surgery and Dr. D was enormously helpful and supportive. Dr. Doraiswamy and her team at CCare Murrieta have been incredibly amazing during my entire journey. Dr. Doraiswamy is extremely smart, very up to date and knowledgeable about the most recent breast cancer research studies, very straight forward about the reality of the situation (which can feel scary at times) and she's also very caring and comforting. I felt, and continue to feel, that she recommended the best treatment path for me. I felt comfort in knowing that she genuinely cared about me. Eventhough my treatment was very agressive, I trusted her 1000% every step of the way. She gave me all the knowledge I needed and pointed me in the right direction for the resources that she knew I would need. Even prepped me for the emotions that I would feel after completing chemo. She met with me every single time that I came in for chemo (all 16 rounds). She continues to check in on me even on the days I come in for bloodwork. She is on top of everything. Thank you Beatriz. Ms. Trina, the hematology nurse was amazing at drawing my blood each time I came in. My veins are always very hard to get and I typically walk out of labcorp with 2-3 attempts each time. Ms. Trina would get my veins with her first try and no pain. She's so caring. Very personable and you can tell she loves her job. She has this very special energy. Very positive and happy everytime I saw her. The chemo nurses were also so caring and amazing. Always making sure I was comfortable. The first 3 rounds were so rough on me, emotionally, and you feel that the nurses genuinely care. Even though they do this every day, they knew how difficult all of it was for me. They put me in a private room during the first couple of rounds to give me some privacy. I transferred my care from another state and was so glad I found Dr. Doraiswamy. At our first visit we clicked. She gave me information my former oncologist hadn't told me and even though it was something I didn't want to hear she did it in a way that was caring yet persistent. I look forward to my appointments with her because she is so supportive. Her bedside manner is great and she often has me laughing. She went to bat for me when my insurance was not cooperating. Her staff is kind and very responsive. She is up to date on the latest medications and protocols. Even her after care is stellar. She is keeping a close eye on me to try and prevent my cancer from returning. I absolutely would recommend her to anyone. Having seen other doctors I can say with a surety, she is the best and will give you the best care possible and help you feel comfortable with your treatment plan. I went to see Dr. Doraiswamy, for a consultation, as my bloodwork was a bit off. She was very warm and friendly; and put me at ease immediately. She reviewed my bloodwork with me, and went over my medical history. She quickly reassured me that there was nothing for me to worry about; and I could tell Dr. Boyatt that I had no blood abnormalities. We then chatted about Breaking Bad, and the local Restaurant of Dean Norris's, called The Swing Inn Cafe. She was delightful. I would highly recommend her. read more

Moved to the area and selected this office for my continued breast cancer care.The office staff is horrible they do not communicate with you. The Dr doesn't call you back at all .I had scheduled test she would send you to get them, then never call with results. Then refer you to a surgeon, but don't tell you why. Then give you appointments and you get there they tell you your not on scheduled. When you have cancer, you need compassion they don't have it. The Dr. Is off every Friday and Monday. She never calls you back. They are horrible in my years of going to the Dr. I have never been treated so badly. There is no quality of care. read more

I am shocked by all the 5 star reviews. This doctor's bedside manners and empathy are lacking. My family member was dealing with a SUDDEN diagnoses of stage 4 cancer. Rather than doing a thorough intake, Dr. Doraiswamy chose to yell at my family, stating that my loved one "is hospice ready" and that we should "put her in a home". Imagine how this feels for a family who is not only dealing with this sudden cancer diagnosis, but to hear this unhelpful recommendation. Upon consultation with another doctor, we learned that my loved one was overmedicated and as soon as we decreased the opioid's, she became fully alert and returned to her daily activities. We also learned that she had a promising prognosis and the word hospice did not come up. At the time when we were most vulnerable and needed sound medical advice, she was nothing but short with us. When we called to ask logistical questions (ex. how to set up home health, referrals for cardiologist, radiologist, etc), at one point she yelled and accused us of 'draining her staff'. She even went on to tell me that she doesn't like drama. Drama? I have a loved one who is suffering with stage 4 cancer. We are desperate and asking for resources, and as the patient's advocates really need your professional expertise. Imagine how it feels to hear that this is 'drama', rather than getting her support. I understand doctors get burned out and perhaps get compassion fatigue. But this was plain unprofessional and lacked the supportive 'doctor-patient' relationship we were seeking. read more

Dr Doraiswamy is an excellent oncologist who played detective to figure out the cause of my husband's strange symptoms. With her help and then subsequent treatment, he is now doing fine. She has a top-notch staff (that's you, Elisa! Trina! Nancy!) Dr D has been my oncologist for nearly 6 years. There is no one I'd rather have in charge of my very rare form of cancer. When she left one practice to join another I tracked her down when I could and moved my care back to her. She truly cares, does what she says she will do, and I am heard and respected always. I have had train loads of doctors over the years and no one compares to Dr Doraiswamy... no one. She has been a Godsend to me and my family and I adore her.
