Proof Dr. Doraiswamy actually sit with patients each & every visit!

Cancer is a thief, it's no fun & I hate it. I was referred to Dr. Doraiswamy's office by my Pulmonologist Dr. Lee. My first visit with Dr. Doraiswamy was pleasant. She sat with me and answered all my questions pertaining to my lung cancer diagnosis. Each & every visit she makes sure she sit with ALL the patients and literally hold your hand if necessary. She is smart & intelligent and she gave me an article from the New England Journal of Medicine directly related to her plan for me! She communicates direc with my other doctors to stay on the same page ( I mean what can you ask for)....Thzz as td not the best part of this office. Their billing person automatically signed me up for grants that paid my medicine co-pay and brome current on my out of pocket with my insurance company. Her Medical Assistant makes sure to see me when I am in office ALL the staff simply waits on you hand and feet! Any reviews contrary to my review would be a flat out lie because these people really take care of you. Z the letter "C" in their name CCare should stand for "Complete"!

I haven't felt this taken care of in a very long time. She was so helpful and made me feel like I was in the right hands.

Dr. Andrey is my mothers Oncologist. Unfortunately he and his staff provided such poor and…read moreneglectful care. We are not medical professionals and did the best we could with the information we had. I wanted to share our experience because I don't want another person to make the same mistake without having as much information as possible. From the beginning we were hesitant because he was so arrogant and seemed to take offense to our questions. We respected my moms choice to go with him and wish now that we would have pressured her to find someone else. There were so many scenarios that I found concerning when my mom was fighting for her life and we relied on him for her care, but here are only a few of the red flags because I only have so much space: 1. After my moms second chemo session she was vomiting for 4 days so sick and we could not get in touch with anyone for help or guidance nor did anyone call to see how she was doing. When we called the nurses line the "I am out of the office and my voicemail box is full" message came up over and over. On the fourth day we decided to bring her to emergency room because she could not breath to find out she had pneumonia and was in the hospital for a week. 2. On another occasion we came to the office for our 10am chemo appointment at 9:50 checked in, paid the copay and twenty minutes later were told that her chemo medicine was not ordered. We turned around to go home to find out they left a message at 10:04 on voicemail at home AFTER we checked in and were sitting in the waiting room. 3. My mom was given narcotics for the pain she was having and not one Doctor or nurse contacted her EVER after giving her such a strong medication to see if she was ok, and again she landed in the hospital this time in intensive care with another infection. 4. My mom is now at home in Hospice care, we have not heard from Dr. Andrey one time since the hospital. Nothing from him. She recently said to us "he gave up on me, he thought I wasn't worth fighting for". If you want to entrust anyone in your family with someone like this I am so sorry for you. Our family is devastated and felt like we should have forced her to go elsewhere to a Doctor who was thorough and caring. We will live with that regret for a long time.
