CARE QUALITY: 10/10 ALL of the staff at the front desk were all pretty young and mature. They are more patient over the phone and in person than most other front desk staff we've been too. They are all nice and beautiful folks. Cameron was a sweet heart who checked our blood pressure... DOCTOR UHLER: 10/10 He came in and just sat down with me and my husband. He really took his time to TALK and get to know us. We didn't feel rushed like most other offices we've been to. I remember spending about 5-15 minutes speaking with other doctors. I mean I understand doctors are busy but, doctor uhler spared at least 45 minutes of his time for us. We both have back problems so we were speaking to the right person. He gave us some referrals for physical therapy, requests for lab work and colonoscopy for my husband... What a GREAT FIND! He was also professionally working with Olympic Champions!! I switched to Dr. Gomer about 9 months ago after becoming dissatisfied with my primary care…read moreprovider. It was becoming increasingly difficult to see anybody other than his PA. At my first visit with Dr. Gomer, he reviewed with me my health issues and meds, and instantly made some changes to my meds without explanation until I asked for the reasons. My next visit was a big disappointment. I signed up for his weight loss program. I was to meet with Dr. Gomer and his weight loss person. She spent all the time speaking about herself and her achievements, but barely scratched the surface in describing the program or asking me what I hoped to achieve. She also informed me that Dr. Gomer had to leave for a meeting and that I would be seeing another doctor. After waiting in the room for about 10 minutes, Dr. Gomer popped in to inform me had was short on time and I needed to reschedule this appointment. I almost did not return, except my wife had also moved over from our shared prior primary and had only a very positive experience. I report all this because I am so glad I gave Dr. Gomer a second chance. Since that not-so-good visit, I have had only positive experiences. He has always been on time (an amazing feat for a doc), spent whatever time was needed with me, answered all my questions, and we developed a plan for weight loss, eliminating (not just treating symptoms, but the root cause) of my health issues, and meds. Since putting the plan in place and with monthly follow-ups, I have eliminated two meds and am close to eliminating one more, leaving only three left. I have also lost 30 pounds in the process. What I have found with Dr. Gomer is that if you want very targeted treatment to achieve your weight, health, and medication goals, you must be proactive and take responsibility for communicating what you wish to achieve and follow the treatment plan as outlined. I highly recommend Dr. Gomer. Remember, sometimes a first or early impression may be inaccurate. I suggest you take at least 3 months to decide whether Dr. Gomer is a good fit for you, and early on, clearly communicate your longer-term goals. PS: Robert is great. His bedside manner and follow-through are fantastic.

Dr. Petersen was…read moreon the list so I chose him without doing extensive research because I needed my ongoing prescriptions and have recently had an issue with my cubital tunnel. I also needed a yearly exam and to establish a doctor patient relationship. The staff was friendly enough but the doctor didn't do a full exam, didn't even examine my hand, and decided it "sounded" like carpal tunnel syndrome from 5 feet away. I told him it was the wrong fingers for that and I could benefit from a cortisone shot and he told me I had to wear a wrist brace for 30 days first and then he would refer me to an orthopedist. I told him that since I was very small it was next to impossible to find one in my size, especially for the left hand. He said "well you'll just have to find one." What? Anyway he did give me my prescriptions but, today, I talked to his office and told them this was definitely not carpal tunnel but the ulnar nerve. They called back and said I was being referred to a neurologist for the diagnosis of "peripheral neuropathy". What happened to the orthopedist? Now I worked for doctors for years and have had medical/nursing training as well as anatomy classes. This is a classic case of cubital tunnel syndrome and I do not have peripheral neuropathy. The real question is who wants to have to diagnose themselves when they have a doctor? I don't. I want a doctor that knows what they are doing and how to properly diagnose my medical issues. Heck, they don't even have to have a perfect bedside manner, just be professional and thorough. The point I'm getting at is that there is a complete lack of patient attentiveness or "listening". He didn't even look at my fingers, hand or arm to see what the issue might be. In fact, he barely looked at me at all, just kept looking down at the chart. I didn't receive a full medical exam either. He had absolutely no interest in me as a patient or my current medical issues. I told him I probably needed to have a routine colonoscopy (because it had been about 10 years) and he approached my statement as if it was unnecessary asking me if I had colon cancer in my family history. I don't think I am supposed to recommend my own preventive health care and be met with a lackadaisical attitude from a physician. This should be his job, being proactive with his patients. It seems like this doctor is completely burned out. The office staff didn't even know that they could choose the specialist to refer me to as long as said specialist was in my network. I tried to tell them the GI doctor I wanted to see but they said that they "think" the insurance company has to choose the doctor. This is absolutely not the case. As long as the doctor is in network they can give a specific referral to said doctor. They, a network provider and primary care manager's office, had to call my insurance company to ask. His medical assistant was very nice. I'm not sure if she was the same girl who I talked to on the phone but, if not, the girl on the phone was also very kind and sweet thus 2 stars. This entire 5 day experience/situation was entirely too sketchy to entrust my health and well being to this particular provider so I nipped the problem in the bud and changed my Primary Care manager this morning. One visit plus 2 phone calls coupled with the trouble I'm experiencing with this doctor from the get go has already been enough for me. I rarely go to the doctor, only when it's completely necessary, but when I do I want one I can entrust my overall health and well being to.

Dr. Z (Zickafoose) is my Primary and she was referred to me by a good friend. I have never been so happy as I am with this super professional and kind practice. My last doctor, stared at his computer and never really acknowledged me. And it was always a rushed appointment it seems.... TELE visits were a 3 minute phone call. There is a lack of operational efficiency at every turn. Enough to warrant a poor review on Yelp which I hate doing but people....BE WARNED especially if you are expecting timely service while trying to address a health issue. Calling the office is an infinite hold queue that EASILY exceeds 30 minutes. I did my best to give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a busy day but I am now on my 5th attempt to contact this office and my hold time today exceed 41 minutes before I gave up. Our 1st telehealth appointment was confusing, Dr. Matta was late, then there were zero instructions on how to obtain scripts for labs. We weren't informed which lab the requests were sent to. Since you can't efficiently get ahold of anyone on the phone this required my husband to make an extra trip to drive across town to find out in person. Now let's chat about the Patient Portal where we messaged the Doctor on February 11th and the office did not return our call/message for A MONTH. 2nd appointment. Our $100 copay was conveniently collected but our appointment time came and went with zero communication from the office. I remained in a hold queue for 30 minutes, about to hang up when a text comes through with a Zoom link. Dinner is now cold, there is zero respect for patient time and I am expected to join this call as if I was not just completely inconvenienced at the cost of $100. At the end of the day we are all trying to navigate a broken system. Practices that have zero respect for patient time are not helping. I can't in good faith recommend this office with my recent experience that spanned over a few months.
