Dr. Madrid has been treating me now for about a year, I had a Dr. I liked before him but there were several things that may have been overlooked. Dr Madrid dove in and found issues others hadn't even thought of. It is hard getting an appointment with him but I am ok with that.... Good Dr's are hard to find. read more

For those working a full time job and can only take a lunch break at noon, this place isn't helping. They are closed for an hour and a half for lunch from 12-1:30 pm everyday. I've worked in several clinics where the doctors, nurses, and admins took turns having lunch so that the office is never closed completely for lunch. They do not cater to people who have full time jobs too and personally, I think that's a terrible way to do business. I even pressed to speak with the person on call and before I can tell her my issue, she told me to call back cause they're closed for lunch. Terrible customer service, no concern for their patients, and definitely not worth wasting your time being on hold with them. It's unfortunate that our insurance are limited to places like these to watch over our healths. read more

We are not your "average" I have a cold, I need an annual check-up kind of patient. We deal with a very significant and unique health issue which requires a lot of coordination. Let me just say Dr. Madrid's nurse Laura is extremely willing and helpful; she has been able to help us obtain a referral for whole food enteral feeding formula. She ROCKS! I came to see Dr Madrid about a month ago to establish care. First off... I have to say his staff is exceptional, their on a whole other level of customer service!! They were pleasant and happy. Didn't make me feel rushed, they are very welcoming. Every step of the way and with every different staff member they were professional and very courteous and seriously nice. I have not gone to the doctors is several years and this place feels like family. Dr Madrid is very professional, educated, confident, and very assuring. Chose Dr. Madrid to be my new Primary after seeing so many wonderful things about him and I am so glad I did. I have ongoing issues and some things that had been left undiagnosed. Although it took a little while to get in to see Dr. Madrid, it was well worth a short wait. He takes his time and actually listens. The entire staff was a breath of fresh air. From schedulers on the phone, the front desk to the assistants in the back, all extremely pleasant. Left here in tears I was so relieved to finally be getting some answers after several years of basically getting blown off. Referrals and orders are done promptly and correctly and I love being able to access my info on the patient portal and send messages through it - A+++ Also like the fact that if I need to get in right away, there are several doctors and offices where I can get care. This review is for the whole building and staff, I couldn't find their business on Yelp for this location. I had dr. Gutierrez. When you first walk in it is a big waiting area, and everything is clean and tidy. People there were really nice, they took me in even though I was running extremely late. When I first spoke to the doctor he was very friendly and listened to me carefully. I am going back on Monday and looking forward to seeing the doctor rather then dreading to go. Dr. Madrid has been my husband's primary care doctor for more than a decade, and he has consistently provided genuinely attentive, thorough, and timely care, sometimes in response to an urgent need. Three years ago my husband had two open heart surgeries within 10 months, and recently he needed surgery to remove a large kidney stone. Because of the stone's impact on his kidney function, the urologist scheduled surgery with only a 5-day notice. Everyone from Dr. Madrid's office responded immediately. Kristina ordered the required CT scan STAT, Laura booked a pre-op appointment with Dr. Madrid in perfect time, and Lisa who spoke with us on the phone and greeted us at the front desk kept our spirits light-hearted. As always, my husband's appointment with Dr. Madrid inspired confidence. The surgery went well. I have been going to Dr. Madrid for a couple of years now. I initially saw him at Rancho Family Medical Group's urgent care facility several years ago and he was extremely helpful and on point. I later selected him as my general practitioner after my daughter had gone to him and found him to be very knowledgeable and compassionate. He assisted in her diagnosis for the need of gall bladder surgery, and helped make the process as smooth as possible. Recently, Dr. Madrid was instrumental in my diagnosis of celiac disease. Many people suffer with this disease for many years before receiving a correct diagnosis, however, Dr. Madrid analyzed my symptoms and pointed me in the right direction for the necessary tests. I have had some very challenging health issues and Dr. Madrid has been so compassionate and has went over and beyond my high expectations in a physician. No matter how discouraged I have been which has made me a challenge to many he has been there with his caring soul. He is very rare indeed. Optimistic yet supportive. I don't know where I would be without him helping me through this challenging time. I am glad I have him on my side. He has went that extra mile when I felt like giving up... He is somewhat holistic and encourages self help by eating right and exercising within your ability. He always has a smile and can make you laugh when you want to cry. His personality shines and has since I first saw him in urgent care probably 10 years ago. I changed my care over to him about four years ago. I couldn't be more happy because of him I got the proper diagnosis. He knows more than many specialist. He is not judgemental but is honest. Dr. Madrid and his staff are awesome! Sometimes it take a little time to get an appointment but he is well worth the wait!! If you need to be seen the same day, just call first thing in the morning and you can usually get in. He is very compassionate about his patients and will take the time needed to talk with him. His office staff and front office girls are the best too! Sometime I'll tell them I'm sorry for being such a bother and their response is always "no problem, that's what I do". I try to find any opportunity to praise Dr. Madrid. He took my family of seven into his practice at a time when I was extremely ill and no one, not even a $14,000 trip to Mayo Clinic, could figure out what was wrong. I was beginning to think that I was just losing my mind and so did every doctor that I was seeing. I won't go in to great detail, but a lot of things happened that another doctor could easily interpret as a a pill-seeking, mentally person. Because he had not known me when I was well, he had to go completely on faith that I was truly ill. He would not give up on me. He treated my symptoms as they came, but in the meantime, he kept searching for an answer. It took him over a year, but he finally figured it out. I had chronic Lyme Disease. He is so humble that he knew that this was an area he didn't know enough about to try to treat me himself. Imagine that! A doctor that doesn't think he knows everything. After we found a Lyme literate doctor, he was always interested in knowing what was going on with my treatment. We keep him updated regularly even three years later. In the meantime, he has taken care of the rest of my family, always willing to see us at the last minute, always willing to call in a refill immediately because one of the kids waited too long to call it in to the pharmacy. He even took my 20-year-old son, who is in pre-med in part due to Dr. Madrid, to Haitti with a religious group affiliated with Rancho Family Medicine. Treating these very ill, very poor people was the highlight of my son's life. And I can't forget to mention his office staff. They are always so pleasant and patient with me. I can truly say that this doctor saved my life. If not for him, I would either be dead or in a mental institution. Over the years he has become more and more busy, yet he still remains humble and accessible. These are two words you don't hear often connected with a highly successful doctor.
