Dr. Susan Danek is a very good doctor very good at explaining things and getting things done. And the staff is very helpful.

Dr Danek is nice and easy to talk to, however her staff are the opposite! Always rushing you, cutting you off mid sentence in person or the phone as if you are just ruining their day. I called today to ask for a referral to be mailed ( don't know why it has to be picked up anyways) they can't afford a stamp? That's crazy!! I was cut off mid sentence by the person who answered the phone and I just said never mind and hanged up. It's just hard to get help/respect from her front desk staff. I just moved to Menifee from Florida. I first saw Dr Danek a few weeks ago for routine check up and labs. A few days go I developed a bad case of bronchitis and KNEW from past experience it was bronchitis. I called Dr Danel office asking thm for a prescription for meds that I had taken in the past. If you have ever had bronchitis you know the sooner the better if you get on the appropriate meds. With in a few hours my prescriptions were waiting for me at a local pharmacy. It is very unusual and trusting for a doctor to treat a patient withour seeing them and I was so sick I could never had made it to th office for a work up. The doctor is incredible and so was the staff for their fast and efficient follow up. I am 74 years old and have NEVER had such fast and efficient follow care than I have with Dr Danek and her staff. So I just called this morning because I recently switched my primary care doctor with my insurance and was told that Susan Danek was taking new patients with my insurance and my fiancée goes to this doctor so I thought it was a great fit for me since I had heard so many great things about Susan danek herself. Unfortunately her front desk staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. I called and was seeing about getting a new patient appointment for myself and a regular appointment for my fiancée who is already a patient. The First Lady I talked to was so quick to rush me off the phone and let me know they couldn't take me that I didn't even get her name. she's EXTREMELY unprofessional. Just "nope we are not taking new patients unless you have blue shield or hmo optum." Which I have hmo optum, however she didn't listen to me. She hung up on me and I didn't even get to schedule my fiancées appointment, so I called back and spoke with Wendy who was really kind and able to get her appointment scheduled. So whoever the other rude woman was that I first spoke to please do everyone who calls here a favor and get a new job. You really need it. read more

The front office staff is good. The back office girl is useless! She hangs up on you if she is not in the mood to work!!! She hung up on me twice in one day! Dr. Danek sided in with her and didn't even know her back office girl is useless and rude. She has No idea how her back office girl handles her patients! Horrible and unprofessional. Dr. Danek spends a lot of time telling you about her personal life (such as a home robbery) and tells you her problems. It takes away from my time and my care. She was also upset because my previous doctor sent her my medical information that took too long to look through! So it was obvious she didn't take the time to read my history. She showed me how she has to look up my history and was upset! So off to a Doctor that really just acts professional. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Danek for about 15 years. I chose to pay $600 in premium increase to keep her as my PCP rather than change coverage. She's very compassionate. She doesn't keep you waiting very long. Her front office staff is ok but back office is great. read more

I needed to be seen ASAP. My insurance just switched and this is a new Doctor that I decided to try. I was a little worried after I went on yelp and read the reviews. Well, you can't always judge off that. They got me right in, her front staff was polite. Her nurse was extremely sweet and Dr. Danek was amazing. She truly cared and wants to make sure I can get this annoying unsolved allergy I have fixed. She wrote me a referral to a place that is getting me in tomorrow and she gave me the prescriptions I need to help with this inflammatory problem, my eczema and congestion and swelling. The staff is horrible and so is dr. Danek I was a cash patient when I was seen by her and I was disgusted as to how I was treated as I did not have health insurance she was very eager to get me out of the room ASAP and as she was walking out I asked if I could please just ask one question and she replied " yeah I guess but make it quick" I would never recommend anyone to her. I wish I couldn't even give this woman one star! She has completely neglected to be a decent doctor let alone a superior doctor. My boyfriends father has been seeing her for some time now with these very bad episodes that cause his blood pressure to sky rocket, his heart to be bad and now they cause him to black out. She kept telling him there was nothing she could do for him and that he would have to live with this for the rest of his life. The first trip to the ER the cardiologist was beside himself that he was on the heart Meds that Danek prescribed specifically how big of a dose... That basically alone could kill him. After the episodes start getting worse in the last 7 weeks and several trips to the ER Loma Linda Medical Center Murrieta witnessed him having an episode and sent him to Loma Linda University Medical main campus where he was hooked up to neurological devices for several days. They started changing other Meds and he started feeling a little better. Shortly after they found something in a urine test. Was sent home to go thru his General Dr, when she was contacted Dr Daneks office did nothing but give them the run around until My boyfriends dad went down there and face to face and told them "look I have been in the hospital for 10 days, coded blue and have been thru hell you people need to listen, this top neurologist is requesting this and you MUST get this done ASAP!" During his visit there Danek REFUSED to talk to him even for a minute when she was standing just out of sight where she could feed her office girl some stupid answer that she didn't have time for him... Her patient that could have died. He told the office lady it is VERY SIMPLE all you need to do is call this top neurologist at this number and he will give you the referral. They still were giving him a hard time about getting a simple ursine test done. Well finally they got him in for a test after a week, during his visit Dr Danek came out and was laughing making light of his situation, saying oh I hear you have been going thru a tough time.... Blah blah blah... All the while with a stupid grin on her face as tho his situation was something to laugh about. She has treated him like she didn't even care... Even after LLMedical Center told us this is life threatening! She had completely given up on finding an answer for him... When all it took was a little more digging and a doctor that cared... Oh yeah and a simple urine test. He is now back in the ER with another bad episode and while we were on the phone with Daneks office they acted careless and like they had no idea who we were even talking about. Dr Danek does NOT care about her patients. She should NOT be practicing at all!!!!! read more

She would get zero stars If it was possible, all this Dr. Wants to do is push pills, my husband has a serious life threatening condition and she ran several tests in the past and they came back negative so she gave up looking and said he would just have to live with it! Since then he has been hospitalized several times and they tell you to follow up with your PCP after and she has told him every time, you don't need to follow up with me just see your other Dr's. And then she gets pissed off when his other Dr's change his meds to try and help him until they figure out just what is going on. If all you need is someone for flu shots or allergy problems she may be fine but if you need someone who really cares enough about your health to actually do something LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!! read more

Not sure why their voice mail states that calls will be returned when they clearly are not. Must be some kind of low rent medical office humor. She listens to your concerns, solves any health issues, and she never keeps you waiting. Her office staff are helpful and her assistants have always been great! So My Husband was Medically Separated from the Marines and This is the doctor tri Care Assigned me to. I just called today and the receptionist says to me "she doesn't take tri-care and hasn't for years, she was nasty about it, your welcome for my Husbands Service!! Verterns and thier Families will be denied care by this doctor!! Don't Go Here!! Wish there was an option to give Zero Stars. Dr. Danek is a very competent Dr. and is very likeable. The reason she is only getting 2stars is because of her staff. They neutralize the whole benefit of Dr. Danek being good. They are absolutely useless. Thank you for not following up so that TWICE with an hour wait for tests they forgot to send the work order over. If you ever enter the office you feel that you are interrupting their personal lives. Had her selected as my Primary for a few months, but never had to use it until today. Had a 103 degree temp and Im pretty sure I have strep throat. Told that to Amanda, yhe receptionist, who was quick to get me off the phone, and wouldnt schedule an appointment. She said she had to verify that I was a patient. I waited a couple hours and called back. She said she would call me and never did. Now they are closed. I guess they dont care if I die today. Had to switch my primary to another doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Danek now for a year. In that time she has taken more time in getting my health needs met, but she does it so quickly. If I have a need the staff makes sure she gets my message and they call me back quickly. Everyone is friendly, funny and so kind. I love the nurses and her staff. Dr. Danek saw my mom for years, before Mom needed to move away from Menifee. The doc herself is good when you finally get in to see her, but the staff is does not return phone calls, and doesn't seem engaged with patients or medical information at all. The communication between Dr. Danek and the assisted living place where my mom lived (and received medication) was always a struggle, and never seemed to follow the same protocol established from the last time. The main reason I moved my mom was due in a large part to this office. Unfortunately, there aren't that many physicians in the area, and they are over run with the needs of the elderly that make up the bulk of the population in Sun City/Menifee. Therefore, there isn't competition, which may explain why they are still in practice. read more
