We are quite happy so far. We've had no problem reaching the appointment desk and scheduling appointments. The Athena Health website has been great for asking and receiving timely answers to questions I've had. The onsite lab has also been extremely helpful. Only one thing that others have mentioned in their reviews is that online questionnaires were not logged and once at the appointment, we were asked to redo it, which was bothersome. Overall, the care we've received has been wonderful! Dr Lily is awesome and we hope to continue here for many years to come!

Earliest available appointment was telemedicine about nine days out (next available in-person was 3+ weeks out). The day before my appointment, I received a voicemail stating they won't see me because I have to have an in-person appointment first and urgent care 'doesn't count'. Every doctor I was assigned to either wasn't accepting new patients, was impossible to get an appointment with, was leaving the practice, or I just couldn't get ahold of anyone. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and recently moved here from Michigan, so I really needed to get established with a doctor and get a referral to an OBGYN. I hadn't been able to see anyone in months and was getting pretty stressed about it. Atiga got me in quickly, and when I went in for my appointment I barely had to wait at all. Staff at the front desk was so nice, and the doctor was incredibly kind and patient with me. She knew I needed to get into an OB as soon as possible and got the referral going right away. The first OBGYN they referred me to ended up not accepting me because I'm considered high risk and they would only take a referral from another OBGYN. I called Atiga back and explained what happened, and they immediately started working on getting me another referral. There was no runaround or feeling like I had to keep calling and bothering someone just to get help. Even the woman I spoke with who handles referrals was so nice and helpful. Honestly, every person I've dealt with there has been great. After having such a hard time finding a doctor since moving back here from Michigan, it's such a relief to finally find an office where people are kind, responsive, and actually seem to care about helping you. The main reason I stayed was simply because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding a new primary care office. That changed when Dr. Feeney joined the practice. He is wonderful! His bedside manner is excellent, he's attentive, he actually listens, and I never feel rushed or dismissed during my appointments. I have nothing but positive things to say about him and the care he provides. Unfortunately, the office itself is a completely different story. It wasn't great to begin with, but lately it has become incredibly frustrating just trying to make an appointment. No one seems to answer the phone anymore. You have to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back just to schedule. If you happen to miss their return call, you have to call again, leave ANOTHER message explaining that someone called you back and you missed it, and then wait for another return call. It turns into an unnecessary game of phone tag just to schedule an appointment. For a medical office, being able to reach someone and schedule care should not be this difficult. After being a patient for more than 10 years, it's disappointing to see the office become even harder to communicate with. Dr. Feeney is honestly the bright spot here and the main reason I continue coming, but the communication and scheduling process desperately needs improvement! I'd hate to leave Dr. Feeney but it may be time to find a new doctors office.

It breaks my heart that I have to come back and update a once glowing testimony about this place…read morebut after being an established patient at this office for primary care I now am being left on a back burner and having my needs ignored. What once felt like a teammate on my side helping me reach my healthcare goals has now become just another form of control over my life keeping me "in my place" and disallowing me from getting what I need to live my best life. Gatekeeping behavior from office staff who shut me down and are rude and abrupt when dealing with me. They put things in my chart that rightly have no place and then when questioned about it my request are outright ignored. They misinterpret my requests and then send me a cold sharp email outlining why they will not assist me with my request even though they openly admit in the email to have misinterpreted my request and are just trying to make my life difficult. Be careful who you trust to take care of you and your family because once they start putting stuff into your medical records its there for forever and there is no correction to their mistakes that rooted in their misinterpretation of the information you provide them. They will then blame you for not having provided true and correct information so I would advise everyone to take your request to this office in writing and only in writing and to always retain a written copy for your own records so they can not do to you what they are doing to me.

Temecula Medical made several adjustments to their schedule to get me in quickly as I have cancer and other serious health concerns that require immediate and uninterrupted monitoring and care. I initially saw Tatiana and she could not have been more pleasant or patient as she listened intently to my long list of ailments. At the end of the appointment it was most impressive to see she had not missed or neglected to note even one of the many issues I'd spoken about, the ten plus referrals I needed, and a list of the medial items I need to maintain my relative health. I was listened to, all of my concerns were addressed and all referrals submitted before a day had passed. Truly above and beyond care for this extremely complicated and difficult cancer patient. I think the whole office had the best energy. I also found the waiting room spacious and relaxing with the abundant windows and light. Everyone had a smile on their faces and they let me stay well into their lunch period so I could take my time signing the many releases for information and finish what was needed. I can't imagine why they don't have five stars as I'd happily refer them to my best friends if asked. There was no argument, no conflict, This action was unwarranted, intrusive, and based on an incorrect assumption. Furthermore, the way the staff member addressed my significant other was inappropriate, misleading, and disrespectful. Removing him from the room without explanation and treating the situation as if there were a safety concern was not only unprofessional, but also created unnecessary distress and discomfort for both of us. I understand that staff may have protocols they are required to follow, but this situation was handled poorly and without appropriate judgment.

She realized that she didn't have the referral after the fact. She called multiple times to get the referral, but they continued to tell her she needed to see the doctor for again. Does that make any sense after she just saw the doctor only a month prior?! Today 2/5/2025 I called to speak with the staff that does the referrals, to which they told me that her appointment in December was only a Medicare wellness visit. That the appointment whether she had a problem then or not was not an appropriate appointment for a referral. The exact words were they needed a "diagnosis". To which I said, if you guys could diagnose what she has and takes 2 separate appointments, they could "diagnose" then they should also be able to treat otherwise there would be no need for a specialist. I also work in the medical field; this is a racket. No wonder patients are frustrated with medical care. It's completely mismanaged, inefficient, and the office staff leave a lot to be desired. The two women I spoke with today were Jasmine and Melissa, the seemed very disinterested in why I was upset. Clearly the point of the December visit is so they can get their year end billing done with Medicare. I seriously can see no reason otherwise because my 77 yr old mom wasted her time going to a doctor just to tell her she needs to see an ENT and then not give her a referral. Now that I'm on Medicare since November of last year, I had to find another doctor and fortunately, she popped up on the list and was taking "new" patients. I couldn't believe some of my information was still in her system from 2014. My very first physical exam will be conducted in March. Communication is very easy & convenient via their patient portal. All my messages are answered promptly and thoroughly. I'm very pleased & impressed with this system. I am overjoyed to be under her care again. She's very kind and compassionate as before. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I'm so glad that Kathy is still there as she was always so friendly & helpful. I know that Dr. Ocampo will keep me in optimum health as I advance into my senior years.
