I never get on this app. I'm just letting everybody know that they're not the best. There are two ladies that sit in the front desk, and they don't answer their phones. I was in the hospital in June I called to check up with my doctors and they don't answer their phones at all. I don't recommend this Place . They are the worst. We have been with this doctor office for the past 4 years. I would have, unfortunately, to say that we are NOT happy at all. Patient care does not seem to be the priority. On the medical front, they don't seem to have much more experiences than us, the layman with some common sense. More than often, we went to medical suggestions. However, we came out with little ideas of what to do and what medicine we should start with. For instance, I am the one to come up with the suggestions on what medicine to take for my borderline diabetic A1c. And I am the one to suggest to switch medicine when one type has not worked for one year and half. On the front of simple lab/imaging orders and report, they missed quite a few times. I am wondering what I am paying for. We are leaving this doctor. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Carrassco office. The PA nurse, Leah Slater, has been a godsend. For the past three years, I have dealt with various physical issues that indicated to me that the life I once knew was over. But Leah listened and helped me improve my situation. Dealing with the office people is a nightmare. They will tell you that they are sending something to your surgery center or specialist "right now" and you call back the next day and they are sending it ""right now"" again. Call two hours later and you get ""right now"" again. Almost lost my surgery appointment. I showed up to get the paper myself and vola they gave me the receipt saying it sent 4 mins after I showed up in person. They will also tell you that they don't have things like test results seemingly without even looking because when you are in front of them vola they seem to have it just fine. The Doctor and Nurse are great and are the only reason I haven't sought out d a new GP. read more

While I never met Dr. Carrasco, I did have the pleasure of meeting his PA, Leah Slater who is stellar. She is sharp, knowledgeable, and had an excellent manner. However... the reason for the one star is because of the office staff and their inability and lack of initiative to do what they are supposed to do. Lupe, MA, seems to be playing dumb in that she fails to send letters to medical necessity to insurance companies even after two months of requests. Requests from myself and the insurance company were met with rude and snippy comments, ignored, and I was told that I had to do this myself. When a patient needs a CT scan it's to rule out anything really serious. The anxiety of the phone calls, emails, and lack of action on the part of the office staff is unnecesary and is contrary to the hippocratic oath to lessen human suffering. This is ridiculous. Phone calls were made, letters, written and no action from their end at all. Both the insurance company and I have filed grieveances against them. Apparently, reviews and grievances do nothing and Dr. Carassco sits, collecting his monthly mailbox money while ignoring his commitment and responsibility to his patients. I hope he enjoys his golf games while wasting everyone's time. Obviously, I have moved on to a new PCP. Ms. Slater needs to run fast before this office ruins her career. We have never seen the Dr. In person. I went to an urgent care for a possible broken finger. I was billed about $200. Then my wife and I needed routine labs done. They were $83 each. I have not seen the doctor or had anything else done, but we got two more bills for $87 each. When we call the Dr.'s office, they say it is the insurance. When we call the insurance, they say it is the Dr.'s office. The bill is from the Dr.'s office. We shouldn't have to pay for something we did not even see the Dr. for. I have never had to pay for so many miscellaneous payments. We are getting ripped of my Aetna and the Dr.'s office. Bad business! read more

Once i got in here with my appointment the service was ok at the front office. The NP was great and very helpful. I remember her from a while back and she was very good if i remember correctly. I am very happy here except for there phone service and having to come in the office to set up an appointment. Because they won't return your calls even if you leave a few messages. read more

I made appointment with the Medical Group and He's the assigned Doctor. Explained to the Lady over the phone that I need my Mom to be seen as she has not been seen more than a year. I asked of they accept Molina. The appointment was scheduled more than a month. We waited more than a month only to find out today that they wont accept Molina! The lady said they have not been accepting Molina 3 years ago! Ridiculous Staff who took our appointment! Imagine of we would have been informed right away more than 1 month ago???? An 81 year old waiting for nothing! I wish that staff will be FIRED! I dont care! Try to put your shoes on your clients! And also, the lady doesn't sound FRIENDLY! Very frustrating! There is an MA named Brittany who was a delight, and definitely lightened my mood, as being at the doctors always puts me on edge. Yet again greeted - I mean not greeted by the office staff here. I've been going here for 5 years (I dont go much) and this day is the first day I meet the doctor. I've heard he's nice. But this office staff has to be the worse I have encountered in my life. Rude, unresponsive and inattentive. Today will be the deciding factor. I arrived at 3:20. Appt at 3:30. Its now 4:15. This review is only based on my initial experience with front office. Let me preface this review with saying I'm an RN and work for an insurance company: having said this my expectations of good customer service are key. It all starts with the non licensed staff who initially speak to a patient. Great customer service goes a long way in healthcare. The front office person was lacking these basic skills. Need less to say all I wanted was a visit to establish care. Unfortunately I'd have to wait quite some time to be seen by the MD. Which is understandable these days...a sign of our current healthcare system. Never the less this is an issue of lack of access so it deters a patient from establishing care. I was offered a nurse practitioner appointment...which I'm sure he/she is competent but I specifically chose Dr. Carrasco after researching credentials. Anyway I'm rambling but again to my original point...customer service training. It really makes a difference in your practice. That's my recommendation. I'll probably look to change my PCP. read more

I took my Grandfather to see this doctor last week and spent almost an hour waiting for the Doctor. The doctor then spent 5 mins asking question and then we spent another hour waiting until the nurse came in. She handed him a bunch of referrals and prescriptions but he was never told what everything was or why he needed them. It was the strangest doctors experience. I have been waiting almost an hour to see the only provider in office who isn't even a doctor. The phones have not rang once . I work for a doctors office so I usually am more understanding . However I was the only one in the waiting room for an hour and the front office staff was not busy whatsoever they weren't even in the front for a majority of the time I was waiting . It took me seven weeks to see the Dr. Carrasco for the first time which I chalked up to being a first-time patient. I came to realize that even as an existing patient, it took a month and a half to get a follow up appointment. I saw the doctor twice (five minutes at a time) so I can't comment much on his manner, but he had never heard of my disorder (dystonia) and his solution was to print out two pages off a web site, give me the pages and prescribe a medication that did nothing. He referred me to a neurologist who, after doing some research, has a patient rating of one star out of four. A few weeks later, no word from either office, I called the neurologist and they said they had not received the referral. I had to call the primary care's office, who started pointing fingers, and asked them to fax the referral before I could call the neurologist back and make an appointment (more than a month away from that point). In disgust, I finally called the PC office, cancelled all appointments, chanced my PCP with my insurance and set up a new patient appointment with a highly-rated doctor (much further away) in a fraction of the time. I would recommend Conrad Murray before I would recommend Dr. Carrasco. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Carrasco for a few years now, and it amazes me how his office only has negative reviews on here. I guess people have time to write about all the negative things instead of the positive things of the Dr and his staff but I guess that's most people these days. So im going to tell you the pro's and con's. This is a very busy office. Yes it can be very hard to get them on the phone and you maybe on hold for a long time which can be frustrating. But I've also been in their office many times and see how busy they are. Their phone never stop on top on what's going on in the office. The girls in the office are nice, polite, professional, helpful and always have smiles on their face. I've never had a problem with them or getting what I need from the office. Also yes you do have a wait an hour to an hour & a half to see Dr Carraso but it is very worth the wait! He is a rare Dr these days. Most Dr's have you in and out in minutes but not Dr. Carrasco. He takes his time, explains anything you don't understand and goes looking for things he doesn't need to. I TRUST him! I hope this helped everyone. There are good and bad in everything. read more

Horrible Attitude from person that answers phone. If you need medical attention that will save your life, they don't care. They refuse to refill medication to get you from being checked out of the hospital after almost dying to the earliest convenient appoint they are will to schedule with you. I had been to see this doctor once to establish new patient status. Had to book appointment weeks in advance. I am diabetic with neuropathy and reduced kidney function. Visit went fine...nothing to write home about. But then when I tried to see the doctor again because I had a blister on my heel that was getting infected and my leg was swollen, I called to make an appointment on an urgent basis. I spoke with a lady who spoke broken English. I told her I had an infected blister. She repeated, "you have infected blood?". I told her no, I am a diabetic and I have an infected blister. She put me on hold and came back to tell me that there was no way the doctor could see me on an urgent basis and that I should go to Urgent Care. I asked her which Urgent Care does the doctor recommend in the area and she told me she doesn't know...whicherver one I choose. I am so sick and tired of hearing that the good doctors are always busy. So I need to go to a quack to receive decent medical care? Why does a patient with "real" issues (i.e. not just a cold or flu) have to go to urgent care and tell their whole medical history over to a stranger and reinvent the wheel every time? read more

Took 86 year old mother who suffers with dementia to see Dr. Carrasco on Thursday. Asked for anti-anxiety drugs for her that day because of upcoming move to assisted-care facility. Got a nod at the request. Was told to come back Monday for PPD skin test. Went to same pharmacy as always for mom's drugs. Nothing for anti-anxiety. Came back Monday for mom's PPD. Dr. Carrasco was not in. Gave a hand written note to the receptionist asking Dr. Carrasco to PLEASE give my mom something to calm her down. Was promised this would happen. Came back Wednesday to have the PPD read. Dr. Carrasco, again, was not in. Asked again to PLEASE get drugs for my mom before she has a melt-down. Nothing. Called at noon today, when everyone was at lunch and left a message to please call me back. No one called back. Asking repeatedly for almost a week for some anti-anxiety drugs for a demented 86 year old patient and can't get off the dime. read more
