I've had nothing but exemplary service at this office. Dr. Basch genuinely cares about his patients.

I switched to Dr. Gomer about 9 months ago after becoming dissatisfied with my primary care…read moreprovider. It was becoming increasingly difficult to see anybody other than his PA. At my first visit with Dr. Gomer, he reviewed with me my health issues and meds, and instantly made some changes to my meds without explanation until I asked for the reasons. My next visit was a big disappointment. I signed up for his weight loss program. I was to meet with Dr. Gomer and his weight loss person. She spent all the time speaking about herself and her achievements, but barely scratched the surface in describing the program or asking me what I hoped to achieve. She also informed me that Dr. Gomer had to leave for a meeting and that I would be seeing another doctor. After waiting in the room for about 10 minutes, Dr. Gomer popped in to inform me had was short on time and I needed to reschedule this appointment. I almost did not return, except my wife had also moved over from our shared prior primary and had only a very positive experience. I report all this because I am so glad I gave Dr. Gomer a second chance. Since that not-so-good visit, I have had only positive experiences. He has always been on time (an amazing feat for a doc), spent whatever time was needed with me, answered all my questions, and we developed a plan for weight loss, eliminating (not just treating symptoms, but the root cause) of my health issues, and meds. Since putting the plan in place and with monthly follow-ups, I have eliminated two meds and am close to eliminating one more, leaving only three left. I have also lost 30 pounds in the process. What I have found with Dr. Gomer is that if you want very targeted treatment to achieve your weight, health, and medication goals, you must be proactive and take responsibility for communicating what you wish to achieve and follow the treatment plan as outlined. I highly recommend Dr. Gomer. Remember, sometimes a first or early impression may be inaccurate. I suggest you take at least 3 months to decide whether Dr. Gomer is a good fit for you, and early on, clearly communicate your longer-term goals. PS: Robert is great. His bedside manner and follow-through are fantastic.

I've been a patient of the facility here in Temecula for several years now, under a Dr. Jeremy…read moreGomer, who was originally, I thought, a decent doctor, he seemed to actually listen to me and the suggestions I made. Unfortunately, as time went by, too busy?, it got worse! He had me in for an "annual check up" last year, had me drawing pictures of clocks like I was in second grade or something, no actual physical at all, had insisted I get bloodwork done, which I had, he didnt even look at it! Oh, he did use his stethoscope to make sure I had a heartbeat on his way out, kind of an afterthought! They then insisted I had to come back in AGAIN in six months after yet another session of bloodwork, no explanation, and no I have no medical issues besides migraines. They didnt like it when I told them I had no intention of getting more bloodwork in only six months, especially since he hadnt even gone over any of it this last time with me, recommended is approximately 3-5 years unless there is a medical condition warranting it, there isnt. Anyway, I've received several prescriptions from him, some are actually CURRENT ones that I take, I contacted his office today and they told me I was no longer a patient there, didnt even ask WHY I was calling, and hung up on me. Said I hadnt been in there since last May, so??? I called back again, ten minutes on hold, and the office manager proceeded to tell ME I was rude, because they'd asked questions and NOT given me an opportunity to answer and then hung up on me - twice? I never got a chance to tell them WHY I was calling. My prescription BY Dr. Gomer will no longer be paid by my insurance so they needed him to contact them to do something called a Prescription Drug Determination so I can continue to receive this (Emgality for migraines). This is an actual current prescription BY Dr. Gomer for me and his office refuses to pass my message onto him. Bottom line: I would NOT recommend going to this facility or Dr. Gomer, whatever office he's currently at! I've never seen such rude office workers in my life and I've seen some pretty awful ones in this area now unfortunately. Office help can make or break a practice, I wonder if Dr. Gomer know that yet? ‍ The office help by name are: Valerie and Chelsea, asst. office manager and manager and I didnt catch the name of the gal who answered the phone at the front desk, but they're all pretty much the same there, BAD!

Furthermore, the way the staff member addressed my significant other was inappropriate, misleading, and disrespectful. I understand that staff may have protocols they are required to follow, but this situation was handled poorly and without appropriate judgment.

She realized that she didn't have the referral after the fact. She called multiple times to get the referral to which she was told in the month of January 2025 that she needed to come and see the doctor again for the referral! She called multiple times to get the referral, but they continued to tell her she needed to see the doctor for again. Does that make any sense after she just saw the doctor only a month prior?! Today 2/5/2025 I called to speak with the staff that does the referrals, to which they told me that her appointment in December was only a Medicare wellness visit. That the appointment whether she had a problem then or not was not an appropriate appointment for a referral. The exact words were they needed a "diagnosis". To which I said, if you guys could diagnose what she has and takes 2 separate appointments, they could "diagnose" then they should also be able to treat otherwise there would be no need for a specialist. I also work in the medical field; this is a racket. No wonder patients are frustrated with medical care. It's completely mismanaged, inefficient, and the office staff leave a lot to be desired. The two women I spoke with today were Jasmine and Melissa, the seemed very disinterested in why I was upset. Clearly the point of the December visit is so they can get their year end billing done with Medicare. I seriously can see no reason otherwise because my 77 yr old mom wasted her time going to a doctor just to tell her she needs to see an ENT and then not give her a referral. I think I'll be talking to her and have her get her medical care elsewhere from now on.

There is a lack of operational efficiency at every turn. Enough to warrant a poor review on Yelp which I hate doing but people....BE WARNED especially if you are expecting timely service while trying to address a health issue. Calling the office is an infinite hold queue that EASILY exceeds 30 minutes. I did my best to give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a busy day but I am now on my 5th attempt to contact this office and my hold time today exceed 41 minutes before I gave up. Our 1st telehealth appointment was confusing, Dr. Matta was late, then there were zero instructions on how to obtain scripts for labs. We weren't informed which lab the requests were sent to. Since you can't efficiently get ahold of anyone on the phone this required my husband to make an extra trip to drive across town to find out in person. Now let's chat about the Patient Portal where we messaged the Doctor on February 11th and the office did not return our call/message for A MONTH. 2nd appointment. Our $100 copay was conveniently collected but our appointment time came and went with zero communication from the office. I remained in a hold queue for 30 minutes, about to hang up when a text comes through with a Zoom link. Dinner is now cold, there is zero respect for patient time and I am expected to join this call as if I was not just completely inconvenienced at the cost of $100. At the end of the day we are all trying to navigate a broken system. Practices that have zero respect for patient time are not helping. I can't in good faith recommend this office with my recent experience that spanned over a few months.

Jun 11 - i came in for my concerns and annual wellness check/blood draw. went to check out, i asked the receptionist lady if there was a copay and she said no. Jun 18 - follow up to review my test results, one test was missing so they drew my blood again. Went to check out and i asked the guy receptionist if i had a copay he said no. It didn't seem right so I double checked with him and the lady next to him said i do have a $30 copay (so i paid). After a week i called to check on my results cuz i didn't see anything posted on my online account and i was informed my doctor was out and that a doctor needed to review my results with me. They tried to schedule me in office but i asked if it can be a call cuz i didn't want to drive down again. June 27 - got the call from the doctor to review my results (still didn't get why i couldn't just get a copy of my results online, my old Sharp doctor would usually just have the results on my app.) About two weeks later (July 7) i receive a bill for $50(or so) so i called them and they advised that my insurance didn't cover my initial appointment and told me i'd have to reach out to my insurance in regards to my confusion so i did. it looks like the insurance and medical office settled something because the app showed i only owed $30 after a few weeks (July 28) so i paid for it. Aug. 8 i see another bill for 2 different dates for a total of $60 so i called again and the lady on the phone said it was for my first appointment (which i recently just paid for) and my video call (video call that shouldn't have even happened if they didn't mess up on one of my test results). They're literally charging me for everything even if it's a mistake on their end.

Filler was injected directly into the wet border of my lips, which caused immediate migration and an unnatural appearance. Botox was also placed in my DAO area, but the injections appear to have missed the muscle entirely. Instead of relaxing the DAO, it created dimpling in my chin and actually accentuated my jowls. When I returned to discuss the results, my concerns were dismissed and I felt completely gaslit rather than helped. No corrective plan, refund, or accountability was offered. Now I have to pay $200 out of pocket to have another provider dissolve the filler and attempt to correct the issue. Not to mention the correcting of my forehead tox which cost me $290 and we're going to address the lower face later... When you're trusting someone with injections in your face, proper placement and patient care should be the standard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
