It breaks my heart that I have to come back and update a once glowing testimony about this place…read morebut after being an established patient at this office for primary care I now am being left on a back burner and having my needs ignored. What once felt like a teammate on my side helping me reach my healthcare goals has now become just another form of control over my life keeping me "in my place" and disallowing me from getting what I need to live my best life. Gatekeeping behavior from office staff who shut me down and are rude and abrupt when dealing with me. They put things in my chart that rightly have no place and then when questioned about it my request are outright ignored. They misinterpret my requests and then send me a cold sharp email outlining why they will not assist me with my request even though they openly admit in the email to have misinterpreted my request and are just trying to make my life difficult. Be careful who you trust to take care of you and your family because once they start putting stuff into your medical records its there for forever and there is no correction to their mistakes that rooted in their misinterpretation of the information you provide them. They will then blame you for not having provided true and correct information so I would advise everyone to take your request to this office in writing and only in writing and to always retain a written copy for your own records so they can not do to you what they are doing to me.

Why not call me and ask if I'd like to reschedule or let me know instead of coming in 15 minute early I should arrive 45 min late so I'm not sitting here wasting my time for an hour. While my significant other and I were calmly discussing our son, a staff member entered the room,…read moretold him to leave, and then began questioning me about my safety. There was no argument, no conflict, This action was unwarranted, intrusive, and based on an incorrect assumption. Furthermore, the way the staff member addressed my significant other was inappropriate, misleading, and disrespectful. Removing him from the room without explanation and treating the situation as if there were a safety concern was not only unprofessional, but also created unnecessary distress and discomfort for both of us. I understand that staff may have protocols they are required to follow, but this situation was handled poorly and without appropriate judgment.

If I could give zero or negative stars, that would be a more appropriate rating. My mother had…read morevisit in December of 2024 in which she and her doctor, Helen Tran, MD, spoke of her seeing an ENT for her particular problem. She left that appointment with no referral. She realized that she didn't have the referral after the fact. She called multiple times to get the referral to which she was told in the month of January 2025 that she needed to come and see the doctor again for the referral! She called multiple times to get the referral, but they continued to tell her she needed to see the doctor for again. Does that make any sense after she just saw the doctor only a month prior?! Today 2/5/2025 I called to speak with the staff that does the referrals, to which they told me that her appointment in December was only a Medicare wellness visit. That the appointment whether she had a problem then or not was not an appropriate appointment for a referral. The exact words were they needed a "diagnosis". To which I said, if you guys could diagnose what she has and takes 2 separate appointments, they could "diagnose" then they should also be able to treat otherwise there would be no need for a specialist. I also work in the medical field; this is a racket. No wonder patients are frustrated with medical care. It's completely mismanaged, inefficient, and the office staff leave a lot to be desired. The two women I spoke with today were Jasmine and Melissa, the seemed very disinterested in why I was upset. Clearly the point of the December visit is so they can get their year end billing done with Medicare. I seriously can see no reason otherwise because my 77 yr old mom wasted her time going to a doctor just to tell her she needs to see an ENT and then not give her a referral. I think I'll be talking to her and have her get her medical care elsewhere from now on.

I'm so glad that I researched long and hard to find Dr. Matta...another plus for even accepting new…read morepatients. I absolutely hate going to the doctor and it drives my anxiety through the roof just thinking about it. Haven't been to a doctor since my OBGYN when I had my baby almost two years ago and knew that I needed a checkup! She is so sweet and friendly and puts you at ease, there was a nurse there as well (I believe his name was Joel) who was also awesome. I loved the feeling of not being "judged" as I answered all the basic health questions. Dr. Matta has an excellent bedside disposition and calmly answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. She patiently listened to all my concerns without making me feel paranoid and ordered a full blood panel to check all my numbers. I am so lucky to have found her and I'm hoping I can continue with their practice for years to come. Thank you so much for your excellent service!

So my impression is that Dr. Matta is a fabulous Doctor, but she is 100% hindered by the operations…read moreof her office. The office is either severely understaffed or mismanaged. There is a lack of operational efficiency at every turn. Enough to warrant a poor review on Yelp which I hate doing but people....BE WARNED especially if you are expecting timely service while trying to address a health issue. Calling the office is an infinite hold queue that EASILY exceeds 30 minutes. I did my best to give the benefit of the doubt that it was just a busy day but I am now on my 5th attempt to contact this office and my hold time today exceed 41 minutes before I gave up. Our 1st telehealth appointment was confusing, Dr. Matta was late, then there were zero instructions on how to obtain scripts for labs. We weren't informed which lab the requests were sent to. Since you can't efficiently get ahold of anyone on the phone this required my husband to make an extra trip to drive across town to find out in person. Now let's chat about the Patient Portal where we messaged the Doctor on February 11th and the office did not return our call/message for A MONTH. 2nd appointment. Our $100 copay was conveniently collected but our appointment time came and went with zero communication from the office. I remained in a hold queue for 30 minutes, about to hang up when a text comes through with a Zoom link. Dinner is now cold, there is zero respect for patient time and I am expected to join this call as if I was not just completely inconvenienced at the cost of $100. At the end of the day we are all trying to navigate a broken system. Practices that have zero respect for patient time are not helping. I can't in good faith recommend this office with my recent experience that spanned over a few months.

I had my initial appointment I was brought back and waited for 45-50 minutes before the PA came for my appointment. That's far too long of a wait time for a first visit. Nothing about the appointment or office was remotely holistic, it's all western medicine. I was told that I didn't have a co-pay, but turns out they were incorrect and now have a bill from them (just wish they wouldn't have lied to me about this.) The appointment wasn't even for a physical, it was only "establishing care" as they call it. I had x-rays done and I had a follow-up appointment scheduled, the x-rays came back normal so I cancelled the appointment because it seems that they are money grabbing and trying to schedule unnecessary appointments in order to bill insurance. In my experience most offices will have the Dr or PA call you with results, especially when they are normal. Save yourself the time and money and find a different primary care office. Please don't advertise as being a holistic Medical office when that's clearly not what your office does.

Temecula Medical made several adjustments to their schedule to get me in quickly as I have cancer and other serious health concerns that require immediate and uninterrupted monitoring and care. I initially saw Tatiana and she could not have been more pleasant or patient as she listened intently to my long list of ailments. At the end of the appointment it was most impressive to see she had not missed or neglected to note even one of the many issues I'd spoken about, the ten plus referrals I needed, and a list of the medial items I need to maintain my relative health. I was listened to, all of my concerns were addressed and all referrals submitted before a day had passed. Truly above and beyond care for this extremely complicated and difficult cancer patient. I think the whole office had the best energy. I also found the waiting room spacious and relaxing with the abundant windows and light. Everyone had a smile on their faces and they let me stay well into their lunch period so I could take my time signing the many releases for information and finish what was needed. I can't imagine why they don't have five stars as I'd happily refer them to my best friends if asked. Thank you to Tatiana and the rest of the staff who welcomed me and gave me the time I needed to do what was critical for my healthcare. I look forward to continuing to work with them.
