Maybe you should go elsewhere ... One of the keys to business success is the polite handling of customer inquires. I have used the service of this company for many years. Primarily for window cleaning but sometimes house power washing too. On each occasion, we have were pleased with the service. We have actually refer neighbors to the company. That is why our recent exchange with their phone line support surprised us. When we called and asked for our annual window cleaning service, the individual answering the phone said that since their system showed that our last service was in 2018, they had to reprice. When I mentioned we used their service last year (as we have done for many years basically at the same price), he asked me to produce the paid invoice (who keeps these things). He then said that the only option was to reprice, to which I responded that the other option was for us to look for other service providers. When he asked what I meant, I said that customers also had options in any negotiation; they could choose to go with one of their competitors. He replied, "well ... that it's no skin off my back." and terminated the conversation. Wow! Maybe this company has grown enough to lose sight that customer service is the key to business. If this is how they now handle repeat customers, you may want to go elsewhere. Too bad, we were happy with their service and price. read more

Virginia Window Cleaners sent out Orlando Rodriguiez and his team to clean a considerable number of very large windows in our mid century modern home. They did a superb job! Not only that, they cleaned the atrium glass ceiling with panache. I had a different company come to clean it earlier in the year. They piddled around with a water pressure gadget and finally left saying that it was too soiled to be cleaned and I paid the bill in advance. The glass ceiling was still filthy. Fortunately for us, Orlando and his team got off the accumlulated dirt that the other crew said was irremovable in record time. With some elbow grease, they finished the job in record time and my glass is sparkling! I am thrilled. I will use them annually from now on. read more

Very responsive scheduling and rescheduling cleaning our townhouse windows (there was a rainstorm so the cleaning was pushed back) and confirming. Three stars because the estimate I was given over the phone was $200 to $230, and the cleaning guy said $295, even after providing a lot of details over the phone about the job (I offered to send pictures but they declined). We agreed to the new price and he told me a couple times what a "good deal " I was getting (the cleaners we're friendly overall). In the end they did a decent job and within the allotted time frame. We might go with them again. Not sure. read more

Sat home all day waiting for them to come and give an estimate on a job. They called the night before to confirm. Never showed up. The office told me the estimator went home because "he had had a long day." Some service. They don't make appointments for estimates. They just tell you a day. I'm my case they never came. We've used these folks for years and would hope for better customer service and loyalty. The scheduling person was rude and defensive when we questioned a second postponement of our job. Rather than asking about ways to accommodate our job, he just told us we would need to wait for another three weeks (that would have been 9 weeks of waiting). The issue was using a tall ladder on soft, rain-soaked ground. They didn't bother to ask where the high windows were located, which interestingly sit above a solid driveway. There was no issue. They didn't ask if we would be wiling to do the easy windows on-schedule and just wait on the high windows. Of course. Why spend money on a company that doesn't bother to ask the easy questions or propose easy solutions? Very disappointed. read more

We used Virginia Window Cleaners to wash the windows and screens on our two story house. They arrived on time, communicated well in advance, and did a fine job with the many windows, storm windows and screens we have. Their estimate was accurate, their timeframe was on target. The difference their cleaning made was amazing. We did have a followup issue. It took two calls to get it corrected. But it was correct to our satisfaction. Customer Service is terrible! I have been using this company since 2007, with mostly good results. However, the past two years I noticed the quality of service has gone down hill. My husband and I both have to take off work to manage them and point out spots or even windows that they missed. When I called customer service this morning, regarding the quality of my job, all she wanted to tell me was how busy she was and thank you for calling click! Well if that is customer service, I look forward to seeing them go out of business. There are plenty of other good window cleaning companies in Northern Virginia, who will do a quality job. Very satisfied. I've used their services for 4 years. They have a great crew that works diligently. The crew leader is very polite and ensures the team does a thorough job, cleaning and replacing screens. I was also very impressed that the crew immediately took off their shoes when entering my home and used covers over their boots. Very respectful and a decent price as well. They pulled a bait and switch and almost doubled the price when the guy showed up to do window cleaning. He KNEW he had me because we were selling the house and needed it done that day. Then he agreed on a much smaller portion of the house for the original quoted amount, and I had many other workers in the home at the same time and checked a few windows but all of them, and paid him when he said he was done. AFTER I paid he gave me a work slip and said I need this signed, and with so much going on I stupidly signed it only to find later he did not do half the windows agreed upon, and wrote up the slip differently from what we had negotiated. Yes, my fault for being overwhelmed and not scrutinizing closely enough, but I thought they were a good company I could trust. NOT ETHICAL. He also missed many spots on the windows he did clean, which wasn't apparent until the next day when the sun shone through. read more

After writing the bad review in 2013, we tried these guys one more time on a smaller house, summer 2014. We got great service, they came on time, did good work and I would use them again. They took special care to keep the inside of the house clean since I had just gotten a cleaning service and painters in the house. I would use them again. read more

Found this company on Fairfax Best Picks List. They did a fantastic cleaning job on my Great Falls home despite the many window panes and difficult to reach areas. The employees were polite and responsive and quoted me what seemed to be a reasonable price for all the work. When the cleaners arrived they put on foot coverings before coming inside. They were on time and polite and I was able to communicate with them clearly. They were gentle with my windows and screens and carefully positioned their ladders so they did not interfere with the flowers. Afterwards the windows and screens were cleaner than I've seen in years and you could not tell at all that cleaners had been in or around the house. I've already booked them for power washing for my deck next. Great services for a busy lifestyle. Highly recommend. read more

We have owned our house for 19 years, and had never had the windows cleaned. It is 3 stories high with LOTS of windows. The windows ended up being really dirty. I had them clean the windows inside and out, the screens, and the window sills. They were GREAT. I am a huge fan, and will have this done every year by them now. These two guys arrived in the middle of a rain storm and wanted to clean the outside of the windows while it was raining. We asked them to return next day and they did. But then they trampled outside plants and broke a window lock by forcing the window open. This is our last time to use them. read more

Dishonest quotes and poor scheduling. Was told we would receive a call Friday to confirm arrival time for Monday service. After no call, we called Mon. AM and were told between 8:30 - 9:30. Washer called at 10:00 to say he would be late. Arrived at 10:45 then quoted almost double the quote we had received over the phone (saying storm windows were not included although we had specified storms on the phone). After speaking with the office supervisor, no attempts were made to rectify the issues. We did not have them do the work. Would recommend going with a company that provides honest, even if more expensive quotes, and that can show up at least within the given timeframe. read more

I agree with the other reviewers who had bad experiences with this company. Although the employees were professional and friendly when I booked the job, the female owner I spoke to after I discovered a problem was brusque, defensive, dismissive, and rude. She quite clearly is not interested in repeat or long-term customers--just take the money and run. The company cleaned my windows and gutters at the end of April. After they cleaned the gutters I noticed one of the gutter screens was sticking up and raising the shingles on my roof and the worker came back to "fix" it. I was assured that the gutters were clear and I took their word for it. Today, however, I happened to be home during a rain storm and noticed that the gutters were still clogged and the screen, with which I had previously had no issues, was out of place again. The female owner claimed that the "rain" had moved the previously-fixed screens, and that gutters need to be cleaned constantly, even when they have screens on them. She was not interested whatsoever in having a discussion about the issue--because she knows it all. She just talked over me. At that point, I told told her that I would take my business elsewhere. Her attitude was "ok, fine." Find a company that stands by its work and has more professional owners. read more

This company is horrible and I would not recommend them to anyone. I have a three story (small) office building in falls church. when I called and made arrangements with Pam who I believe is an owner, we worked it out that my lower level would be done first since that floor is all tenants and most are therapists and can not have someone in their office while they are "in session" Then when they showed up the supervisor had the workers starting on the top floor so I told him that he would need to do the lower level first HE REFUSED!!! I could not believe how rude and disrespectful he was. He told me "we always start at the top and work our way down, I explained to him politely why we needed to do it that way and that I had made arrangements with Pam in advance, he said he "didn't care and that's how we do it" I told him I was going to call his boss and talk to her he said "go ahead" I did call and was told by Pam that she did not understand because she had even written it on the ticket, so she said she would call him then call me back, then I went back upstairs and the guy and the crew had left! after about an hour I called Pam back and she told me he was already at another job and I should call someone else because he was booked for the rest of the day. I don't know what the guys problem was but I would not want him in my home or place of business for any reason. These people are incredibly unprofessional. read more
