I had a GREAT experience with VIP Transport, the Mayflower! I really appreciated their constant communication throughout the entire move--from the move estimate, to loading our furniture, to shipped and unloading our belongings, it made it an enjoyable process. The actual move process with VIP has been a joy - as opposed to just about everything else in the move process being insanely difficult. They came with several guys to load and pack our furniture/belongings. They did a great job taking apart our beds and then reassembling them when they arrived. We moved from California to North Carolina and I was scared something would get broken--but EVERYTHING was in perfect condition. I felt anxious about such a big move, but everyone I dealt with made the process a lot less scary for me. Everyone was really friendly and very efficient. Our belongings arrived right on time. I checked out renting a POD but I'm so glad I chose Mayflower. They made the move much less stressful (their guys did all the hard work--loading and unloading the truck and assembling and taking apart our furniture.) VIP Transport / Mayflower - 0 stars if I could. This was my first long-distance move after many 100 mile moves, and I'm going to need intense therapy now because they ruined my life. Do not use them if you have even a slight love / attachment to your furniture. They will ruin every last piece. Moved from Baltimore to Miami with 3rd party crating / uncrating services. They were supposed to delivery my stuff 10 days after loading and something happened to the ONE person that seems to work for this company and my stuff was left rotting in a Maryland warehouse. It took me basically DAILY calls to give them some sense of urgency and the unload date turned out 5 days after that promised. =========I'M NOT JOKING, IT'S LIKE THEY WERE TRYINGGGG TO EFF EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE I OWN. Including my $7k PB sectional, $3k bed on and on. The WHITE sectional never got saran wrapped as the Baltimore mover, Tony said, and was just rolling around naked in a filthy warehouse / truck. ========= The way my bed was put back together, it now creaks if you drop a purse on it or tap it with your toe. They have a genuine talent for being able to inflict psychological torture. read more

We bought a new house. They beat the hell out of our walls. They also dropped our large massage chair. I had to fight them to pay the claim on the chair. Now when it comes to the wall they are saying the driver did not document them. He lied to me and told me that he had already opened the claim which turned out to be false. These people work so hard to deny claims and find the worst excuses. We moved 3/31 and I opened the claim in April and where they scratched the floor they are stating there is no proof. If they don't like the estimate, then why don't they come out and just fix it. It's a stall tactic. Mayflower needs to do really look into this crooked company. We have used mayflower three other times and this is a complete different experience. No matter what the cost is this company is not with it! read more

In 4/2021, I hired this company to pack, store and move my entire house. I entrusted them so much that I also had them pack, store and move my mother's house about a year later. During this time my belongings were still in storage, so my mother's things were stored with mine. Both households were delivered to our new house in 3/2023. Upon delivery, several things were noticed to be broken (even beyond repair) and this was prior to any boxes being unpacked. Once we began unpacking, we noticed that many more items were broken. I was in email communication to the company during this time and I was informed that I had 9 months from the time of delivery to file a claim. I filed my claim within that amount of time and I was just informed today (2/5/24) that most of my items do not qualify anymore because the 9 month time frame began when my items went to THEIR long term storage. A storage that I have no access to and am unable to assess if any items are damaged. During these years in storage, I am paying monthly for storage and for insurance to keep my items safe. This is completely unacceptable! I was specifically told in an email from this company that I had 9 months from the date of DELIVERY to file my claim. I was contacted by their claimsteam10 and was offered some compensation for the items that were damaged during the actual delivery only. They said that they were not responsible for the boxed items and that was the responsibility of VIP transport. There were many more boxed items that were damaged than items that were damaged during delivery. The claimsteam10 sent the damage report to VIP transport and they told me that they would review it and get back to me. They got back to me today with the message that they are not responsible for ANY of the damage that they caused because they claim that I did not file in time. AGAIN, THEY THEMSELVES TOLD ME THAT I HAD NINE MONTHS FROM THE TIME OF DELIVERY TO FILE SAID CLAIM! They are an agent for the United group Mayflower and United Van lines. Over my 2 week planning with my agent, I am sent a contract that asks for my entire move to be paid in full 1 business day prior to pick up. I went Mayflower after the previous company did the same thing. I have loved cross country before and was never charged up front. What incentive do they have to actually deliver your goods. We found a much better company. That moved us at a better price with a specific time and they packed our 75" tv with no issues. This company wanted to charge us extra insurance for each tv. We hired VIP to partial pack and move us from CA to WA. After reading all the terrible online reviews and horror stories for various moving companies, we were pretty nervous about entrusting anyone with our belongings, especially since there were going into storage for two to three months. I received quotes from 5 different companies, and while VIP was not cheap, they were competitive. I'm happy to say that from my initial inquiry call to the final delivery date everyone I dealt with was fantastic and the utmost professional! The crew that came to finish packing for us was cheerful, fast and very detail oriented. They were very careful with our things and seemed cognizant that we were paying per box packed and did a great job of packing efficiently. Our coordinator Veronica Carillo was exceptional. She responded quickly to any and all questions throughout the 3 month process, sometimes within the hour. I was very impressed with her level of service and how she went out of her way to handle a few "emergencies" that came up. For instance, we realized we had sent our passports to storage as our shipment was arriving in WA and my husband had two international business trips coming up. She called the storage facility, had them locate the safe they were in and arranged for us to pick them up! Also, when we realized the packers had forgotten to box a large screen TV, (as the moving crew was loading the truck the next day,) she had someone out there within the hour to package it for us. Her competency definitely lessened the stress of moving out of state. When it finally came to move in day, the movers Brandon, Manny, Nate and Anthony did an amazing job. They were punctual, efficient, CAREFUL, and fast! I can't say enough about them. They prepped the house perfectly--all the floors and banisters were protected which I really appreciated. And did not leave a single mark or scratch on our freshly painted walls! They were incredibly organized and worked well together as a team, but was struck us most was how CHEERFUL and friendly they were as they worked in the freezing snow! We were thrilled to find that not a single box was missing, and our furniture arrived in perfect condition. They left everything reassembled and in its proper place . We could not be happier with our experience with VIP. The service and professionalism of everyone we dealt with was exceptional and we are happy to give them 5 stars! read more

VIP did an amazing job...the crew showed up on time, carefully handled and loaded my belongings and had to make two stops during which they assisted in loading an unloading quickly and safely. Nothing was broken or damaged when we arrived to my new home. The crew was very careful not to mark any of my newly-painted walls. Do not use them ever. Their ability to plan and coordinate our move has been the worst I have ever dealt with. We were moving from the Los Angeles area to the Mid-west. We let them know up front our move out date, that we would be driving straight through and asked for a delivery date. We were told Nov 5th would be the date for our stuff to arrive and we confirmed that with them since we wanted to make sure we had what we needed till the stuff got there. While driving cross-country they never updated the webpage with the date, so I called and ask. I was told they would contact the driver and get back to me. The next day I still had not heard so I called. I was then told that the date would be Nov 9th, TWO weeks after our move out date and a full business week in our new place with nothing but what we brought with us. Dealing with VIP was all excuses and nothing about seeing what they could do. We complained and they finally said they would see what they could do. The said they would have the driver contact us ( why do I have a moving coordinator assigned ? ) The driver contact me, more excuses, and he said he should be able to get there but Sat 7th but definitely Sun the latest. This was on wed the 5th and he said he would contact me the next day to firm it up. He did not. As part of the conversation I told him I had to make business plans to travel and could he guarantee a sunday delivery. He said he could. I reiterated I was making travel plans and again he assured me sunday would not be a problem. On friday the web site showed as having delivered, which it did not and our credit card was charged. Called mayflower again, again more excuses, no comment to look into why. Only until I stated I now had no way to track did the office staff offer to do anything to assist.When again was nothing more than to contact the driver and have him contact me since they will be out for the weekend and unavailable. Today I get a call from the driver and he can't make it on Sat. but he should be able to on Sunday. But he has no one to help him unload so he can't deliver unless he has help. I got excuses and complaint that we have heavy stuff. He asked me if I knew of anyone who wanted to get paid to help move me in. I'm new the area so no I don't. Again why am I paying them to move me and help co-ordinate the move? So I am now in the position where I still don't have my stuff, I no longer will get it on Sunday and have to reschedule my travel plans and deal with the business fall out from it. Mayflower and VIP transport and ineffective and their ability to plan and help co-ordinate moves is non-existant. I'm afraid to find what state my stuff will be in. I would never recommend using them, especially if you have dates that need to be met, even if they say they can meet them. They won't do anything to help unless you complain and force them to. They don't give any impression about caring once they have your stuff. They hold you hostage since they have your stuff and there is nothing you can do about it. I would never recommend using them and I'm have been regretting it for two weeks now. ## 2015-11 : Update So after going back and forth and being directed to talk to the driver. He guaranteed me he would be at our place on Mon 11/9 at 8am, after promising multiple times to be here on the weekend. At about 10:30 he called and said he was almost there but couldn't find our address on his GPS so I had to give him directions. About 11:30 he arrived finally. So many things were damaged and I was speechless. We had a custom cherry/walnut desk that had a leg snapped off. The driver mentioned it was standing on its end in the truck and he noticed it was loose, but since it was wrapped up he didnt know it was broken. You do NOT stand a desk up on its side, and leave the legs un-supported. We also had a new ( less than 1 year old ) couch. It was wrapped in saran wrap ( it left our house wrapped in moving blankets... ) and there were tears through the wrap and the underlying fabric. On of the wood legs had a huge chip out of it. Quite a few of our wood items, which were all wrapped when they left our house and were not all wrapped on arrival, had chips, huge cracks and pieces were pulled apart. A large number of the small boxes had rips, tears and were compressed from weight on them.Luckily so far only a few things in the boxes were damaged. A METAL lamp was snapped IN HALF. I'm filing claims now and I will update based on their response. But some of the items, like the desk was custom made and irreplaceable. ## 2016-02 : Update So after going through the claim process they agreed to pay out for the damage and that I should received a check in 30-45 days. It has now been 50 days and I have not see a check. I've sent email to the individual I have been emailing/takling to through out this whole thing and its been a couple of days and no response or update. read more

Even when they had to carry furniture up 3 flights of stairs, they never complained and were very professional throughout the entire move. To our in home estimate, which our surveyor was the only one who spent a lot of time with me answering all my questions. The move coordinator was wonderful and updated us often and was very thorough in answering all my little questions. We moved from Irvine, CA to St. George, Ut and the move was smooth and on time, I was impressed with the people loading the truck, they we very fast and very careful how they loaded the truck and it arrived at the destination on time as promised. I used VIP Transport to move from my house to a new apartment and it could not have been a better experience! They came and did a quote for the move, packed up everything, and delivered everything to my apartment (while stopping at my storage unit to drop off the washer, dryer, and fridge). They were kind, courteous and very respectful asking questions along the way to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. As I was unpacking my belongings I was very happy to see that not a single glass was broken and everything was packed with care. The movers were friendly and polite! I would highly recommend their services to anyone moving and I will use them again in the future when I move. My final balance came in under the quote which was a very nice surprise! Wonderful service for a complicated move from Santa Ana to Acworth, Georgia with a stop in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jesse came and estimated the cost based on splitting up the household contents three ways, Kimber facilitated the paperwork and moving.
