Highly recommend Chris' Moving Men for any of your moving needs. We had them help us with our move & we are so grateful we did! Our realtor referred us to them, and they are a total gem of a small business. From the start, coordinating everything with Chris was a breeze! He made the logistics side of things so easy & even sent Frank out to our place to give us an estimate in person. Having an estimate and scope of work really helped us feel confident about the pricing. On the day of the move, Paul, Joel, Eddie, Eric, and Jose were honestly the best crew we could have asked for! They worked so hard and were incredibly efficient, but they still took the time to be careful with our stuff. Moving is always stressful, but these guys were so kind and helpful that it actually made the day go smoothly. If you're looking for a moving team you can actually rely on, definitely give them a call. We feel so lucky we found them! They are just genuinely good, trustworthy people who treat your home with respect. Huge thanks to Chris and the whole crew for making this such an easy transition for us! read more

We hired this company to move my mother in law's household belongings from Torrance to Playa Vista and what a wonderful experience we had. Miguel and Caesar were fantastic. They were friendly, professional and did a great job. Very reasonable price for 5 hours of hard work. Nothing was broken too! They unloaded and set up the furniture in the new house. Pleasant and helpful and I highly recommend hiring Chris' Moving Men!! read more

its been 4 times already that's I've been driving around holleywood and these guys just purposely block roads to do their service. Then when you ask them to move they give you attitude like they're entitled to blocking the road for others. please teach your workers to do they're job correctly. read more

Chris' Moving Men - Movers Near Me - Torrance, California

We used Chris' Moving Men to move from Torrance to Santa Barbara County. Paul and his crew did a great job packing and loading, then unloading into storage. After a number of bids from local movers, Chris' was detailed and reasonable. Very happy with the price and service. Brad L. read more

Excellent and Professional! The process of selling and buying a home is a lot of moving parts and stress. After going through a handful of mover ads we chose Chris Moving Men. Chris went over our options, and we chose to pack our stuff since the house had so much clutter and hiring him to come in and move our stuff. They worked with us every step of the way. The movers are very hard working and dedicated. They were friendly and made the move easier on us. Great quality and price! We highly recommend Chris Moving Men! read more

They were hired to move us from one unit to another in our complex by our complex management company! We did miss all kind of valuables during the move. Even the luggages we moved over ourselves were breached and valuables were stolen from those luggages as well. Our complex is otherwise very secure. We were ambushed and robbed as they moved our belongings! They were handling our belongings where no security cameras were present, such as inside elevators and throughout the garage. All men in Chris Moving Men denied responsibility and blamed other residents in our complex for the mischief! read more

Chris refuses to take responsibility for the theft of half our kitchen items and box after box of personal sentimental items.

When just moved to La Quinta from the South Bay. The load in and out was seamless. The guys: Jerry, Eddie, and Erick were incredible and professional. Each one of them was courteous, personable, work hard from start to finish. Our belongings were treated like their own personal property. Not a single mishap. Thank you guys for everything. Was referred to Chris' Moving Men by family friends who had used them in the past for some larger moves. My husband and I needed to move our large items (bed, dresser, loveseat, etc.) pretty quickly our of our current townhome to our new home, and Chris and team were able to accommodate our move on such short notice. Chris was very responsive, calling us with a quote on a Monday morning, and scheduling us for a Saturday move two days later. The amount we paid was actually much less than we were quoted for, and the move itself was completed in less than 3 hours! We did receive a few scratches to our dresser, but nothing too terribly noticeable. Definitely recommend Chris's Moving Men for any of your moving needs, big or small! read more

Chris and his crew were there for me when our family needed them. we needed to move quickly when my sister got a new home in another county and her lease was running out. It was clear that our plan of trying the move ourselves wouldn't get it done in time. I was calling around on a Saturday when most companies are closed. I talked to Chis, and he got us on their schedule for the Wednesday. They cleared out the house and helped with some packing by bringing wardrobe boxes and taking down and packing art, a large mirror and wall mounted big screen TVs. They were super professional and did a great job of unloading on the other end. It was great service when we needed it most. Thanks Chris and crew! read more

Super happy with the quality and speed of these movers. Honest, fast and nice. My move took about 4.5 hours and cost about $400 with tip etc. Bonus: they'll loan you wardrobe boxes for free (ask how many...!!), and they wrap furniture in plastic to try to protect it. TL/dr: good, not pricey movers read more

My only issue with this company is the lack of transparency with their fees. When you call them and find out how much they charge, make sure you double the number you think you're gonna pay, then add another $200. I had a total of 12 items to be moved in my unit, i even helped move a good portion of the items. There were 6 items left when i headed to my new location. Hours went by before they arrived with my stuff. My bill over $800, so just keep that number in mind. Even if you make it simple, you're still overpaying. read more

I highly recommend Chris' Moving Men. They were very professional and made my move easy and stress free. The guys were prompt, careful with all my fragile stuff and were done faster than expected. Big thanks to Paul, Danny, Movisio , Adan and Evic (hopefully I spelled that right) you guys rocked! I will definitely use you again and will recommend to others. Thanks Chris!! read more

Someone referred this company to me and they came highly recommended. I called and someone came out and gave me an estimate on the cost of my move. I then spoke to Chris over the phone and decided to hire his company. I am so pleased and the workers were very respectful and professional during the whole stressful process of moving. Gio, Adam and Mike were my movers and they were the best. If you are in search of a moving company, I highly recommend and suggest you go with this company. You will not be disappointed. read more

Just had the most awesome experience with this company! They were on time, masked, super helpful, friendly, hard workers and got the job done quickly! Two thumbs up and a heart round of applause! WOW! They took extremely good care of all my items, were very polite and an absolute pleasure to know! I HIGHLY recommend them! read more

I finally have a chance to thank Chris and his team for our recent move from Southern California to Northern California. The whole moving process is so stressful but Chris's team made the transition fairly painless as they managed to successfully move two truck load worth of items over several days without breaking a single item! Amazing guys Danny, Paul and team went above and beyond the call of duty during my move by carefully packing and boxing many items I still had left in my garage without charging us. Their pricing was fair but more importantly they were professional, on time and extremely helpful throughout the move. Make sure you give them a chance with your move and I think you will be very happy with the results. I would definitely use them again and would refer them to my family and friends in a heartbeat. read more

This company is outstanding! Chris is such a delight to deal with. So professional and accommodating. The guys he hires are so helpful, on time, courteous and so efficient and tidy. They removed everything when they left. There was not even an empty roll of tape left behind. Also, more importantly, they are quick and fast and nothing broke! At the end of the move the total I paid was much less than quoted. When does that ever happen? It was the most pain free move I have ever had and I cannot praise this company enough. read more

Anyone who has ever sold and bought a new home at the time or moved from one home to another, knows how stressful that can be. Had it not been for Chris' crew, I would be totally insane now. When they arrived I was pulling my hair out because I still had so much left to pack. The lead, Mark, told me not to worry about it, they can just put things in the bottom of the wardrobes, which they supplied free of charge. They immediately began packing things. They even checked closet's to see if there was anything I had missed, which there were. They were polite, friendly, professional, expedient and efficient. And to top it off, Chris had the best price of any of the companies I had contacted. If you can beat their price, I seriously doubt you will beat their service. I would not hesitate to use them again. And, I would recommend they to anyone who needs a mover. I no longer have a mover's list. Chris' Moving Men, is the list. They are the BEST!!! read more

The movers were amazing and they worked hard to both load and unload all my furniture being careful with all pieces not to break or scratch. The front office seems a bit discombobulated getting the date wrong and general some miscommunication however scheduling did get a little confusing. Would definitely use them again for local moves. read more

Funny that I hear Customer Service being thrown around freely by everyone, cause clearly we (the company I work for, an estate sales auction house) didn't experience it. They were unloading possessions from a client's storage unit at our warehouse facility, and I had a specific area for them. Immediately, their employees began speaking Spanish, which I understand, and they said things about myself, our warehouse, and our operations. I kept it professional, up until they decided to leave everything on our loading dock, even after making myself clear where such items should go, they don't follow direction clearly. When one of our associates had trouble moving something, they started laughing, and didn't ask to help. They don't come prepared, so have supplies at the ready, as someone needed a sheet of paper to conduct their business. Our company got a quote for another project, but I forward to reject it, and we're never working with them. read more

I would have loved to give the lead mover - I think his name was Danny 5 stars. He was really great. But most of his crew was awful. One guy broke a potted plant and went to move it anyway with just the dirt and plant in hand. I had met with a man named Frank who gave me a really high estimate to move down the hall , I did some of my own moving and packing to try and get a lower price. What Frank told me they would do like pack the kitchen and then unpack the kitchen they only did the packing. And the packing was poorly done. Things were broken. They also had some popsicles I had in the freezer - it was a hot day and that's fine. But they threw the wrappers and the sticks on my floor of the new unit and left them on the floor of my old unit - like they have no sense to throw garbage in a can ? It's to bad that the lead and one other guy was really helpful. The other 4 ruined me ever suggesting anyone use this company. Although since they didn't do what Frank had told me they did give me a much better price. I would have preferred to compromise and paid a little more to have the job done as it was agreed to. I heard they use to move people a lot here in Marina del Rey but I see why they don't anymore. Well now that I have unpacked almost everything including 1 box I started the packing on and they added to it - I can definitely say not only were they careless and broke my things including an antique miniature screen that was my grand mother's - I now have things like costume jewelry , flashlights that were brand new , batteries ( brand new ) and other things missing. When I had the cleaning people go in - they found lots of pots and pans the movers who were suppose to pack the kitchen left behind. Not to mention I spent a few days running over there grabbing things they just left. I wish I could give them a 1/2 star. 2 stars would be for poor service - people who steal when you're paying and tipping each worker $50 plus paying close to $1400 to move down a hall deserve less then a 1/2 star. Please do yourself a favor and go with anyone but these guys. And please notice they have not one positive review since 2017. read more

I have been dreading moving for a lot of reasons but one of them is how expensive and awful the actual moving companies typically are. I had Frank come over to give us an estimate and to my happy surprise, the movers did the job in less time than budgeted! They were extremely professional, efficient, and nice. They dealt gracefully with my dog and baby and were the first movers I've ever had that all spoke English and didn't smoke. A small table was broken during the move and they are repairing it for us. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Chris and his wonderful staff have moved us and other family members local and long distance for six moves. Every single move has been great! Ok. Hands down, these guys are the BEST! 1. Everyone on the crew is kind, courteous, detail oriented, careful, precise and thorough. 2 they work hard and the work fast! 3. They 100% take the stress out of moving out, packing up--- moving in and unpacking! (We have used them for all of that!) We even used them for keeping our belongings in long term storage... EVERY SINGLE THING came back in pristine condition! They account for everything!! I recommend them with confidence! If you use them tip them well! They will go above and beyond for you!! read more

Found these guys in yelp. They have good reviews and are local so I booked them for my office's move. I wanted them to come in the afternoon but they told me 9:30 is the latest they can come. So we agreed upon a 9:30 time. We got up early and had everything ready by 9:20. 9:40 rolled around I got a phone call telling me that they will be about 20-30 minutes late. No apology whatsoever. When I asked why he told me that he just got in the office and will have to get the truck ready. So I am sitting here waiting and it is now 10 am. Not only am I waiting but the people at my new office are waiting and my assistant is waiting. I paying my employees to wait for this company when we could have arranged for a later time. They showed up 40 minutes late and finished my move in 4 hours. cheap and efficient. I'm on the fence. read more

Great job. Very responsive team. Fair prices. Nothing damaged in the process. Would use again.

Chris' Moving Men came highly recommended from our broker who told us that he and his family use them personally whenever they need to move, so that's saying something. After hiring them for our own move, I can see why. They were right on time as promised and the crew really hustled to get the move done as quickly as possible. My final bill actually came in several hundred dollars below the initial estimate (which I thought was reasonable to begin with), so kudos to the team for their hustle and care they provided to our items during the move. read more

My experience using Chris' Moving Company was OUTSTANDING! Moving can be nerve wracking but Chris was incredibly thorough setting the appointment. And let's talk about how amazing the team was on moving day... Danny, Elliott, and Ron showed up 30 mins before the start time, memorized everything that needed to be moved, treated all of my items as if they were their own by carefully wrapping them, and navigated some challenging logistics to move everything down multiple flights of stairs. They were so respectful and truly delightful to work with. THANK YOU!!! read more

We had a very good experience with these guys. We didn't move far but we had many valuables that are not easy to replace. The estimate process was simple and fairly quick. Scheduling was convenient. The move was on time and per schedule. All the guys were friendly and cared about our belongings. We moved from a big house to another. A couple of items had minor damage that we didn't even notice. Chris immediately called us to apologize and to let us know that he already started the process to fix them. He even did a search to replace them if needed. We opted for the fix and both items returned as new. All within the estimate we were initially given. I highly recommend this company. read more

I hired Chris' Moving Men to help me with my apartment move last weekend and they were terrific! Kiki's team was great. They arrived early, moved really quickly, were very thorough, and super careful with everything. They originally quoted me $79/hr for two guys with double time for the drive and I asked to send me a third guy to get it done more quickly for a total of $129/hr. These guys wasted no time at all and it ended up costing me less than I expected. I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs movers. read more

The best moving experience, thank you! We had 3 guys, they were on time and they were great. They were friendly and efficient. I moved from North Torrance to North Redondo and we had zero issues. The cost was significantly less than I expected. They finished faster than I expected. The total time was 4 hours with load and unload. I found them on the next door application, four other neighbors had recommended them. I'm glad I selected them. I must add that I was very prepared and tried my best to assist them along the way. Moving is stressful and they didn't add to the stress. read more

Great moving experience! Had to move items from a storage unit, then from my current home to a new home 55 miles away. They came 1/2 hour EARLY. Within 3 hours with two men, we were packed from both the storage unit and house and onto the destination. The two movers were Christian and Rafael. They both had a great attitude and worked fast and efficiently and handled my items with care. I ended up paying LESS than I had predicted. Charges were explained upfront by the office manager Sandra and no extras or bad surprises at the end were added. Would definitely use them again. read more

Like all had many options and I am extremely happy by choosing Chris Moving Men. Needed storage and movers after selling home of 29 years and then buying another within 6 months. Kiki and his crew did a professional job on both ends. They crated a heavy glass top to dining table and it arrived just like it was shipped out. Our new home has 22 stairs up from the street. Kiki's crew showed up with a smile and moved us in like it was no big deal. Moving is a hassle and can be stressful. Kiki and his crew took the stress and hassle out of our move and Chris Moving Men office staff did the same. Hope we don't move again soon but when we do it will be them. read more

I have to say, I was really disappointed with this company. I've used them once before and thought they did a pretty good job. Although it was my first time using a moving company, so I had nothing to compare them to. Jump to a year later, my boss was moving again and so I went to the only company I knew. But this time around I found them lacking in any sort of customer service, not to mention they were much more expensive when I decided to compare with other companies out there. Lastly, I found both their site rep and their receptionist to be extremely snobby. I called the office and made an appointment to have someone come out and give a quote. Also, when I made that appointment, I "held" a date for the move. The receptionist failed to tell me however, that their policy is to not hold any dates. I don't know why she would go ahead and give me June 20 as an available moving date if I wasn't allowed to book that date. It wasn't until later when I called back to inquire, that she told me I did not have a moving date booked and now June 20 was booked. June 20th by the way, was the ONLY day I had available to move!! Back to the overpriced quote. Last time, I paid a little under $1,000 for 3 men to move the entire house. It took them 7 1/2 hours. This time, we were moving the SAME EXACT furniture plus a few added pieces to a house literally just down the street. But the site rep said he would recommend 5 guys at 10 hours to move everything. After some back and forth and me explaining to him that it was the SAME stuff as before, he refused to budge on his quote ($2500!!!!!!!). Also, as a part of the 10 hours, he put 30 minutes in there as driving time. 30 minutes to drive SIX houses down? Anyway, most importantly when I called Chris' back to ask one more time that they just give me 3, maybe 4 guys and if it takes more time, so be it, we'll pay the extra, they said no. When I said I might have to go to another company the receptionist was more than happy to get rid of me. Some way to fight for your customers. Needless to say if they don't want my business then I have no reason to give it to them. I hate to say I'm right (ok maybe it gives me pleasure), but when I hired LA Moving Company, well.....it took them 8 hours exactly for $1200. I found LA Moving Company to be courteous, professional, extremely easy to deal with, no quote involved which saved me time, and much cheaper! They're movers were better than Chris' too! They were extremely upbeat and friendly and they worked fast. My advice? Just go with LA Moving Company. Don't bother with anyone else. read more

Chris' Moving Men provided outstanding service to us for our recent move from Orange County to Marin County. They packed our last odd sized items in wardrobe boxes to prevent damage. They were professional and efficient. Paul did a great job communicating with me about time of pick up and delivery. All of our items arrived with no damage. The crew was helpful as we sorted boxes as they came off the truck and were placed in a storage unit. I highly recommend Chris' Moving Men. read more

I recently had to move three large piece of furniture out of a storage facility. Chris' Moving Men did a FANTASTIC job! They sent Kiki and Adan to do the job. They were very fast moving the furniture quickly without damaging anything. These were antique pieces and I was very happy they knew how to move them efficiently. Also, the lady I booked the move with was very nice and she knew her shit. There was no "I'm not sure, let me ask the boss, I'll have to call you back". She set everything up answered all my questions. Everything was great! The day before the move Chris, himself, called to verify everything. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. Oh, and the price was great! They were the most reasonable for this move of any of the quotes I received. read more

Chris and his Moving Men saved me a ton of money... When we sold our LA condo this Spring I only had a few days to get our furniture out. 6 of the 7 van line agents said they could not do it, with backlogs ranging from 2 to 6 weeks. The 7th agent could do it but quoted me $15,000 to move a 1 br condo a 1,000 miles. That included $3,000 to crate a fragile piece. Crazy. That's when I called Chris. He was able to get everything out the day I needed. His crew did a fantastic job with the mirror cartons and the pad and shrink wrapping - Jose in particular was super quick yet careful. They brought masonite sheets to protect the hardwood floors. All the items were placed into "vaults" at their storage facility. With the urgent need to empty the condo now gone, Chris researched 3 different methods to deliver to our new place. We could do a van line, use "pods", or "lift vans". He priced and explained each option. I then picked the "lift van" method since it was the cheapest for the size and weight. His crew rearranged all the items, from the vaults into the smaller "lift vans", packing them tightly so nothing would move. Chris had it all arranged, with the freight company picking up the lift vans and a local agent to unload and unbox everything at the destination. I could even track the truck's progress online. Final cost was just $7,000, and that fragile piece made it undamaged along with the rest. read more

Beware! When you need Chris' Moving Men most they will not be there for you. I am 90+ days into a local LA move-in of items long-term stored by Chris' Moving Men in their facilities, and I have $11+K in damages and missing property. I have multiple boxes (Approx. 15 from what I can discern) of property from my inventory list missing. Chris, himself, has been 110% unresponsive to our situation. 45+-days after move-in he finally handed the claim over to his insurance company. Now, I am 90-days in, and the Insurer has now handed it over to a Carrier, whatever that means. The Insurer right off the bat was angry with Chris' non-chalance about the matter. I have paid Chris' Moving Men thousands of dollars in storage costs the past 2 years, and so far have been left holding the bag on not only damages, but also property that - Poof! - literally has disappeared. Chris gave his personal approval to replace 2 missing items immediately - our Miele vacuum and Brabantia ironing board. I am now 60+ days out from submitting these receipts, and he still hasn't reimbursed me. I'd used CMM for 2 additional moves before (1 move-out, 1 move-in), plus a few miscellaneous shuttling of things from LA to Palm Springs. Never again. Feel free to contact me if you have Qs about my experience. I am happy to share more details. read more
