this is legitimately the most unprofessional moving company i have ever used. they dragged out a Studio bedroom move from 3 hours to over 6 hours. I drove by the truck and saw them standing around on their phones and they claimed they were "fixing a piece of the couch that broke off" for THIRTY MINUTES. they were rude and defensive when i asked about this. Hires these guys to help pack a storage room. It was overseen by my girlfriend and her mom. During the moving, one of the storage keys go missing and we just hope we'll find it in some of the car packed items. Didn't end up finding the key but we still had another so we just kept that one in a safe place. Fast forward about 7 months and we are know emptying out the storage and low and behold, all sorts of things are missing. One of which was a very large and very expensive TV which puts this into the felony category. We've put in a claim with the storage place and they have cameras all over the place so hopefully in a couple of weeks we should have some evidence and then we will take legal action. Inconsistent communication when initially booking. On our confirmed scheduled moving day, he had his movers cancel last minute, two hours prior to our start time, because I didn't pick up my phone within a half hour window of them cancelling. I have been shuffling around my apartment getting everything ready for the movers and did not hear my phone ring. Called a half hour after he initially called me and was very dismissive that he had his movers turn around and go home. Not even a courtesy cal with the driver. I used Chris Moving Systems in the summer last year. I needed them to help me move my 4 bedroom house to US Storage in Carson Ca. They are the ones that recommended this company. Anyway they arrived on time in the morning at about 9 or 9:30 am and I thought wow this is gonna be pretty smooth no issues... I had a lot of stuff boxed up packed and ready to go. All they had to do was put it on the truck no big deal. I had many, many tubes the kind you get at Walmart. Some where labeled some where not. I was chatty with the guys just to pass the time. I told them all that my husband had passed just a few months before, and that was why I was moving. They seemed to understand and were like yeah yeah that's right.. Anyway my husband had bought many, many, brand new pairs of Sneakers shoes of various kinds.Jordons, timberlands, Airmax,, K-Swiss, Filas , Addias, many kinds I can't even name them all. Clothes as well all brand spanking new. He had over 200 pairs of shoes in all maybe more. So many they filled up four tubes the medium ones. Lime green tops gray buckets. Well those where the first things that "Chris" and his movers put in the truck. I'm running around bringing stuff out I'm not policing these people as they are putting stuff on the truck. Things seem ok so far so good. I ain't none to the wiser right. They were at the house until lunch time so Chris to a break and ate his Tuna sandwich he said his wife made him..after which he asked to use the restroom where he Blow" it up... I mean don't go in for 25-45 minutes kinda Boo Booing.. Nasty.., smelled like "Damn". Anyway we get to the storage and the other two guys decided they wanted In and out. So we waiting on them to finish eating. I had a 10x30 which had my late husband's truck in it and needed to be moved out first so they could put my entire life in this storage. When the two dudes saw the truck they asked what I was gonna do with it and I said it was for sale. They pushed the truck out because the battery was dead, they stared to put stuff in the storage. I have a second storage inside so the one dude says let's go look at that one to see what else could fit in it. The first unit was filling up. We go up stairs in the building and this guy grabs me hugs me and kisses me on my forehead. I was like what the hell are you doing? I felt very uncomfortable and told my daughter to come up stairs that I was feeling scared and didn't want to be alone with this creep, that just freaking kissed me. I was like wow. Anyway my brother shows up and they are all smoking weed and chilling like it's no work to be done. The owner Chris new exactly what they were doing. Both of his helpers were smoking weed on the job and Chris was like laughing it off. Anyway I let the lady Mischell know what had happened and she said he had did something similar to another female client in the past. She also said Chris was her husband and that they would be firing his ass. Anyway fast forward nine months later today. I'm moving out of my storage thank GOD. I'm pulling out all of my things my husbands tubes and clothes bags. I noticed things many of my husbands things are missing. He was 6'4 255 and wore size 12/13 Sneakers. Like I said nice things and stuff some of which still had tags on them gone all gone Stolen by "Chris's Moving System " jailhouse movers. How can you steal from a dead person... I am very saddened but mostly sickened because I trusted this moving company. I had them in my house around my children my daughters. This is so unacceptable, inexcusable, and just very mean. My heart is broken and hurt. I called today to ask to speak to the owner or to Mishelle I just got the phone hung up in my face. I left Mishelle a message she didn't call me back, so I called her again at which time she answered. She said she finds it hard to believe that her "Guys" would steal anything.. Just like "Her guy didn't kiss me on my forehead " either... Or smoking weed on the job just cause we "look alike and you think it's okay" She asked for my itemized list of missing things. She also said it's been nine months there's nothing that she can do... I doubt that very seriously. I plan on Suing This company for my loses as well as sexual harassment.. This is why I say be careful of this company if you don't want duffel bags of brand new shoes and clothing stolen from you or some weirdo guy kissing on you that's not cool. I guess this is what we get as customers when the company hires felons who "steal". I have nothing against hiring anyone felons or not. I just don't like thieves.... I want to speak with you Mr. Chris. I know you saw Kendal and that Heman the dude picking up refrigerators on his back. What a rip off! Standing around bull shiting and taking there sweet time. They were hanging outside and didn't even come to the door for 20 when they arrived at the new home. It took 5 hours to move 2 bedrooms and two closets of clothing and 6 pictures, 1 mirror. They moved a couch and chairs to the garage. The office was very sympathetic but didn't completely understand how slow the 3 guys were. The driver did nothing. They folded my matress in half and spent more time trying to hoist it up and when that was realized to be a dumb maneuver and more wasted time they carried it up the stairs. They were fighting among themselves and actually wanted to stop and get chips and Gatorade. I seriously would not recommend them for anything. 5 HOURS ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! DO NOT USE!!!! I spoke to Lee who is not one bit helpful. Keep your money as this place will rip you off! NO one ever took 5 hours to move a 2 beds and a few other items!!! Awful service....actually no service! They scraped up mid-century furniture, left pillows unwrapped, did not bring enough wardrobes, ran out of shrink wrap, carried my clothes in speed pack, making for unnecessary use of dry cleaner. They argued with one another (making my wife anxious), and they didn't own up to scrapes or furniture that needs refinishing. They were recommended to me by Public Storage in Pasadena (511 S Fair oaks Ave) as being dependable, and providing good quality service. I would disagree. read more

Job: Moving 4 BIG pieces + misc from business office 12x15(?) down one flight of narrow stairs to storage facility, 6 miles. Big items & the stairs disclosed before we contracted. Crew: Lee (foreman - he may own this biz(?), Joe & Alonzo. Pros: Scheduled the day before. They showed up about on time. Price was the best. All the items arrived in storage intact. Joe & Alonzo They honored their quote with some resistance but, it was honored. Cons: Lee's people skills. Crew discussed how to maneuver items down the stairs for 40ish minutes(?) When I said, "This time is costing me," Lee got nasty, reacted over the top considering how long they stood around talking and it was costing me - tone/manner was unprofessional & inappropriate. I felt intimidated. I believe Lee honored their quote because I asked a male co-worker to talk with them. Lee presented a bill for an extra 40(?) minutes but, honored the quote. I would hire them again if I didn't have to interact with Lee directly. He's not going to win any customer service awards - especially with women. I was recommended by a retail store to try Chris Moving Systems. When I spoke to Lee he walked me step-by-step through the move and coordinated with a charity to pick up some of my furniture. The price quoted was eminently reasonable (for three movers). The movers arrived actually early and moved at light speed. They moved an entire three floor townhouse in less than three hours. When the charity surprisingly did not show up Lee told me not to worry and they took the furniture to another charity and handled it for me. I cannot say enough good things about Lee and his team. I've tried to use Chris Movers and it was just a huge mistake. I had to move from 1 bedroom apartment to storage located in 1,5 miles from my place the next list of stuff: 1. Sofa, armchair and love-seat(disassembled and were available to move by one average man) 2. King-size bed(totally disassembled) 3. 3 medium sized boxes 4. A few not heavy bags That was it. I arranged the movement with Chris Movers 5 days in advance and was waiting for movers. When two guys came in the morning they looked like they don't need any work at all and they are doing me a great favor of coming to my home to help me with the moving. When they have seen the stuff, one of them said: "it's impossible to do within 2 hour" - turned around and went away, I was trying to ask him how long it gonna take on his opinion, but didn't get any kind of respond. So since It was the last day to move out from apartment I had to do it in any case, so I chased him to his car and asked again what amount he wants and why he went away before we finished a conversation. He answered that it's just impossible to do that work within two hours. And I explained that I need just to move the most heavy pieces and other stuff I can finish by myself and if they wouldn't fit in two hours I ready to pay for one hour more. He said that it's still impossible to do but he could try to fit in 4 hours and it will cost me two times more than was estimated. I had no choice so I agreed to pay for an extra hour. But he said that it's not enough and he couldn't guarantee anything even if I pay for 2 extra hours. After that he closed the door and left. I called to the office and after apologizing a girl named Michel said she will try to find someone else, but those guys are actually only available option for today. She said she will do everything possible and let me know anyway. That's it. She never called me back, and I've solved my issue through most famous rental company and Mexican guys who were hanging out around the office of that company. Everything took 2,5 hours including the way to rental company and back. They moved everything and finally it costed same price as was estimated before "it's impossible guys" opened their mouth to state their innovation approach to estimating... P.s. Probably the company is not so bad and finally prices were supposed to be really good. But until there is even 1 percent of opportunity to meet those guys in your morning I would hesitate really long on your place before take that risk. read more

I moved from an apartment to a house and these guys were great. Very accommodating because we were moving items from two different locations. Fast forward seven years later, I sold my house and needed to move items(including a Baby Grand piano) to three different locations. These guys again came through and did an outstanding job!! This was a horrible experience. To move a one bedroom apartment that was thoroughly organized, they took TWO days. TWO! I ended up having to move things myself and upon opening up my storage unit they had broken and damaged more than half of my items, including family hierlooms and customized pieces that cost thousands of dollars. I used Chris Moving to move about 12 blocks away. My one bedroom apartment should have taken about 3 hours to move. It took 8 hours and cost more than twice what was estimated. The movers were nice enough, did a decent job but it took soooooo long it was beyond belief. At one point I had to find out why they were so slow to get back in for the next load and saw them sitting in their truck on their phones. I moved two years ago (same amount of stuff) from downtown L.A. to Southbay and it took 5 hours and cost less than half of what Chris Moving charge me. read more

Chris Moving Systems saved the day. I had a limited amount of time to vacate an apartment for an elderly relative and move the contents to a storage locker. They were 10 mins early and ready to load up the truck. I had originally placed some furniture aside to donate to the Salvation Army. When the Salvation Army refused to take the furniture, I was in a bind. The onsite manager heard my dilemma and offered to take the unwanted furniture away for me. I didn't have to try and call another service to pick up this furniture. They saved the day and we were done within 3.5 hours. The three movers. Lee, Alonzo and Andrea functioned as a well coordinated team. Lee and Alonzo clearly are experts in careful, mindful moving of very large, heavy and valuable antiques. I moved this past weekend and under a huge amount of stress, but I hired Chris Moving Systems in Westchester and could not have asked for better service. Once they arrived the gentlemen were very cordial and courteous. Also, I did not have a huge budget, but the Owner worked with me and we negotiated a price that was quite affordable. They helped me packed things that I had not finished packing on my own. We finished packing and loading the truck in about 4 hours and then we were on our way to my new house. When we pulled up they unloaded the truck carefully, in about 3 hours and placed appliances and tables where I asked. We finished packing and unpacking, loading and unloading a three-bedroom house in ONE day! They were quite accommodating and patient.
