Sparkles Nails has new ownership and has been renamed VIP, but still uses Sparkles website and reward program. Sparkles was great, VIP left me wanting to never return.
I went in with my mother in law. I dropped her off for a EZ pedicure and was told it would take 30 minutes. I told the attendant I had an errand to run and would return and get a pedicure when she was done. I returned 45 minutes later and she was not done. I put my name on the waiting list located on a podium near the cashiers desk and waited for my name to be called. Another 15 minutes had passed before my mother in law was finished.
As I sat waiting for my name, I watched a number of customers come in. Some put their names on the list some went straight to a nail technician. Not a single employee checked the list to call a customer from the list. After a 45 minute wait, I finally complained. Only one employee spoke English. That same employee was not only translating, but was the cashier and performed pedicures. I almost left, but since I had already spent over 2 hours waiting for an EZ Pedicure, I decided to stay. The tech was done in about 30 minutes, honored my coupon and even offered a coupon for a future visit.
Since my 3 hour ordeal, I receive coupons to return a few times a week. At this point, no matter how big of a discount, I will not be returning anytime soon. I prefer the old staff from Sparkles. read more
