Having Mindy respond was very nice and comforting. I know it might seem silly, but who wants to go spend money to end up not happy and in pain at times if the nail tech doesn'know what they are doing, I don't.. So I did go and had a great appointment. The salon was clean, had relaxing music playing, and nice incense going that wasn't overwhelming either. I had my dipping set removed during my pedicure and had a manicure with a shellac set done. Thank you Mindy and to her staff for making it a perfect first time experience, I will definitely be returning. Pedicure: I had a wonderful and relaxing pedicure with a great massage done by Nick (2nd table to the right wear he sits) took his time, asked me how I was, and the massage was amazing! Nick was very detailed and had the same approach in detail to applying the regular nail polish. Color: ibd It's A Match Advanced Wear Duo - regular nail polish in SeaShell Pink Manicure/Shellac Set: Had a very nice manicure with Kevin (1st table to the right). He took his time to prep my nails, clean up, trim down and shape. He always checked his work when he was finished with one hand and go back for a second look just to make sure everything was good. On top of that, he was rude and I tried to strike up a conversation with him because he was in a sour mood. At first he was rude and defensive but then started to be cool which I thought was great because we had a fun conversation!! -- I wanted him in a good mood while he's working on my nails but this guy just doesn't know how to do nails at all!! I even question if he's been to cosmo school or even had a license to do nails! He did my manicure and pedicure used a drill- didn't push my cuticles back or trim them. He did do a decent short massage on one foot/leg was quick with the other. Even my pedicure was a mess and he just smeared it with his finger then female tech came to fix it since he started on someone else. He didn't have me dry my nails- and the coat was too think to dry fast. I tried to warn the new girl that came in but couldn't get her attention. My sister's nails turned out great but a female nail tech did them- forgot her name so just make sure not to go with the male tech. Male tech: if you read this I wish you the best of luck, you're a cool guy but please have someone retrain you to do nails or maybe doing nails is just not for you! You seem miserable doing nails and the results reflect that. I wish I had a good experience and could give 5 stars but this experience was disappointing!

They have 7 nail stations and 8 pedicure chairs with massage. They usually have 4 nail technicians on duty. There are a ton of colors with a large amount available in regular & gel, and some in regular, gel & powder. They will have your tried & true "go-to" in stock as well as most trends. They usually offer complimentary beverages. If they don't, it was simply an oversight...just ask! There is a 5th guy there named John that seems to have his own thing going on. I've never seen him waiting around for customers. He seems to come in for, communicate with, and work on a set schedule of regular clients. If you are one of John's clients, maybe you could write a review detailing what that is all about. I'm usually a short, square, neutral gal, but the owner is happy to embellish me when I get a wild hair for design - think festival or holiday time. Since I'm customarily boring, I always tell her I'm planning design as early as possible so she can schedule appropriately & I don't F Up the remainder of her schedule. She can do aaalllll the things, but if you wait until go-time to request some outrageousness, she may not be able to work it in. They usually get walk ins seated within 5-20 minutes. If they can't get you in , they won't lie to you and have you waiting around for an hour. I have two primary reasons for sticking with a nail salon 1. Quality work. 2. Real people. I never understood people who don't communicate what they expect or say, "whatever you think is best" & then complain when a service isn't what they "expected." Every tech at Lotus has wanted to understand what I want and has worked their best to provide. Every one of them have been uber-nice & respectful to me if I decided on a mid-service change.....they were even nice about a post-service change once, but its probably because that is an extremely rare occurrence for me and I try to be nice & respectful in-kind. However,…read moreafter her nails were finished, I noticed some of the polish had come off on the side of one nail. I politely asked if a little more polish could be added to fix that spot. The technician called the manager over, and he initially told me that additional polish wasn't needed. It was a bit frustrating because the issue was visible and easy to correct. Thankfully, the technician who worked on my daughter's toenails understood what I was asking and agreed that the area needed more polish and fixed it. I appreciate that the technician helped resolve the issue, but the interaction with management and the lady who did her nails could have been handled better. When a customer politely points out a small fix, it should be taken seriously instead of dismissed.

I asked if she…read morewas available within 1/2 an hour and they initially said yes but minutes later called to see if I could come 45 minutes later and that was fine. I got there on time and checked in and they gave me some nail swatches to look thru. After a few minutes, they sat me in a Pedi chair. I continued looking at the swatches and saw Sandy still doing a Pedicure. I turned on the massager on the chair and just chilled out. When she finally got to me, we exchanged pleasantries because it had been awhile since I last saw her. She's very friendly, kind and personable. I like to develop relationships with my Self-Care peeps and it's important to me that they're engaging, talented and easy to get along with. Sandy is that type of person. She's fast and helps me out. I showed her my one broken nail that I told I kept trying to grow out but kept breaking and showed her my thin, scraggly nails. I told her I was trying to grow them out for months after I stopped using Dip Powders. She hooked me up and made them look pretty even if the nails weren't long. Kudos to her and thank you for not letting me feel embarrassed about the state of my toes and nails, LOL!! She'd just say "It's okay! I'll take care of you!" :-)

You know, if you can't do it just say so. Disgusted by a bit of inappropriate behavior by the nail tech. I won't go into detail here. But be aware. Watch where he's looking and where you might get that accidental brush of the arm. I'll be going back to my regular nail salon.
