We have purchased a piano, 2 guitars, and a ukelele from this store…read more My uke and guitar were both having issues with loose cable.jack / strap mounts. I needed one tightened and the other rescued from inside and fitted in place. It was late evening. We went to the counter and received some help. We were told that the technician was gone for the day. It required a specialized tool to fix it. We should come back when the tech is in. We thought they would have been more solution oriented as we told them we are return customers. The fact it happened to two instruments was brought up. I thought they would take some accountability. Long story short I went home disappointed. I ordered a bit of hardware to secure the jacks. I watched some videos. I then fished some dental floss through and snagged the interior piece and pulled it through the hole. I adjusted the inside nut, pulled it through and fixed then. There werent any apologies that it happened on two instruments. It was simply - yeah that happens. Bring it back when the tech is in and be can fix them. No offer of a free fix. It just didn't feel like customer service.

Figured this guitar center where no one seemed to want to sell a guitar would be perfect for that. Well, I walk in and immediately greeted by two people, asked what they can help with. I said, just tire kicking. As I was looking around a few people actually spoke to me and ended up helping me and giving useful insight on the guitars I was looking at and info on their lessons. What a total 180 from my last visit. Keep it up guitar center!! Bringing my rating up to 4 stars, but if my next visit goes well like this I'll up it review to a 5 star.

When I raised the issue, the store manager hid behind "policy" and offered no real solution--only a token one-month refund after months of no service. So funny. Paying for private lessons and getting nothing is unacceptable. Very disappointing customer service. This is not how a reputable business should treat customers. Ironically, I discovered these charges because I wanted to keep taking lessons. I've been a long-time Guitar Center customer and bought all my instruments here. Didn't expect to learn this lesson instead.

The only missing piece was there were no curbside pickup parking spots that were earmarked. At least I could not locate them. Once parked next to the store I checked in using link provided in the email. An associate from the store arrived within five minutes with my purchase and loaded it in my car. She checked the ID for confirmation and I was good to go. The entire process was very convenient and safe. The employees wore masks at all times and it is mandatory if you are stepping into the store. Plenty of parking is available. Given the recent news of bankruptcy of the organization, it is important to support local businesses. They offer friendly customer service, great prices, exchange & return options and the opportunity to try before you buy. What's not to like?

Tone Shop is one of the best guitar stores in DFW, if not the country. The staff are really…read morefriendly and very helpful. Tone Shop stocks a wide variety of new and used instruments, as well as amps, pedals, etc. In terms of new guitars, you can expect to find Fender, Gibson, PRS, and Reverend - and maybe more - for electric. Taylor, Martin, Gibson, and more for acoustic. The cool thing though is they carry a range of instruments in these brands. You can buy anything from a Squier, Epiphone, or PRS SE up to a Core PRS or even a Custom Shop Fender or Gibson. And I don't just mean they have a single custom shop guitar on display, they have like a whole wall of high end Fenders and another for Gibsons. It's kind of fun to go in there and see all those amazing guitars. They've got guitars that cost hundreds and guitars that cost thousands. While they might not always have the same range of brands as the bigger store (no new Schecter, EBMM, etc.), they have an amazing selection within the brands they do carry. There's something for everyone. They have a decent selection of pedals, including Boss, Strymon, and more. A small selection of pickups too. I bought one of my favorite guitar straps from them. They've really got a lot of cool stuff! They also have sales periodically, and some great deals can be had! If you sell used gear to them or trade in toward something else, their prices aren't going to be as high as you could get selling it yourself online - but are fair for selling to a retail store. I think you can do a "sell in store" deal through Reverb with them too. I've been really happy with the guitars I've bought from them, and the shopping experience. They also do repairs, pickup swaps, etc. I'm pretty sure this location also offer PLEK. I've never done that myself, but I'm kind of curious about it and might take a guitar in go through the machine some day. Sometimes they host events at the store too. Overall I'd highly recommend Tone Shop in Addison.
