2016 Les Paul Traditional with original 57 Classic pickups.

I had an ailing Les Paul with ground noise issues that came about as a result of a tone quest gone sideways. I found some pickups I liked and changed the pickups and wiring elsewhere and that's when the ground noise and buzzing started. Bryant heard the story and held the intake briefing and it was great talking to somebody who knows what the hell he's talking about (not that I'm any expert, I'm not). He recommended a re-wiring job that Caleb took care of and who went the extra mile to make sure it was perfect. I'd go back to these guys for future repairs and should've gone to them in the first place. Great job guys! Keep up the awesome work.

Visiting Charley's has been on my bucket list ever since I became a serious fan of the blues, Texas, & SRV. I finally made the drive out from CA & made it happen. I got a t-shirt, walked around & took pics of all the cool photos of all the greats all over the walls. I'm so happy I was able to stop in on such a beautiful day. To make my visit even more special, Brian gave me some guitar pics, and since my next stop was Laurel Land Memorial Park, you know I had to leave one for Stevie.

After reading the negative review left, directed at the repairman Bryant, I felt the need to put in my two cents. I've been dealing with Charley's quite heavily ever since Brian (not Bryant the repairman) came over in '04, and he turned me onto Bryant's work. I've been with them ever since. If you can't communicate with them, then something is wrong on your end. They are upfront, to the point, hilarious and brutally honest. If it sucks, they'll tell you it sucks and then try to make it better. Bryant has worked serious magic on some really abnormal guitars that I've brought in.

Charley's Guitar is a fine establishment with some serious history behind its legendary name. I have had my Tom Andersons through their shop, and nothing but perfection comes out. I bought a Bogner Shiva from Brian, and including the fact that I received a killer deal, it's been a lifetime purchase. Trends come and go, as does the competitors, and undoubtedly there are trolls trying to smudge their reputation, but if you are in the Dallas area, there is nowhere else to go. Heck, I live in Massachussetts and I still go through them for all my needs... Need I say more??

This place is incredible....but you knew that! What really is impressive is the Russell Repair Shop inside the store. Bryant Russell is a miracle worker. I was advised by a friend of mine(noted Dallas musician, Milo Deering), that He only trusted his stringed instruments to the guys at Charley's. When I needed a neck repair done on my mandolin recently,Bryant had my cracked neck reset and adjusted the action perfectly in no time; and it plays much better now than I deserve....I'll never go anywhere else.

Went here on a friends recommendation, after having mediocre experiences elsewhere…read more Tyler was very nice and knowledgeable- made excellent recommendations to us. Atmosphere was laid back and warm. Excellent range of stock for beginners to experts and varying price ranges too.

I was a 5-star rater of Tone Shop until I went to sell a collection of guitars. Took weeks for…read morethem to respond and I had to follow up daily and then the price they gave was a great deal for them - not me, but I was willing so after hauling the guitars to their store, then it was every little issue with the guitars. the jack has static - 1979 would have that and a simple spray of deoxit but that equated to 500 dollars off their offer. The deal was for them, not me - looking around at their inventory, everything was marked up high so they were going to make double or triple from every guitar in the deal so I decided this was not good for me and called it off. No help getting the guitars in and no help getting the guitars out. And they were stuck on one they wanted to get for dirt cheap. Not a fair offer but lowball. I work in business and know there needs to be a margin, but theirs is around 80% if not 90%. Forget it!! They may have great items but run! You can get a better deal anywhere else with a staff that is not trying to blead you of every dime. Too bad since I proudly wore my Tone Shop Guitar shirt, told everyone about how great they are and the shirt has been tossed. Bottom line - you will get ripped off selling to a store anyway, but the lowball price and then the minor items their skilled staff can easily go through were obstacles and they used that for leverage. Real sleazy practice and a waste of my time! Again - the waste of time was the largest insult of all! Great items and I'm sure the staff is nice, but after this experience I will never buy or recommend this store. This could have been so much better and I'm still very surprised with such a low offer I was willing accept and they wanted to reduce that more for a collection that they would have been making profit hand over fist with the traffic they get.

She is one of those kids that has a difficulty concentrating and gets bored of activities easily, so I was super nervous when signing up. The classes are fun with Mrs. Minda! She is very sweet, caring and encouraging. We appreciate the reward prizes and the treats she spoils us with after each class. Mrs. Minda makes herself available for questions and concerns outside of class as well which we really appreciate! The customer service (payments, timely notifications) is seamless and the communication level is superb. Minda also teaches lessons, so I signed right up. Great experience. She's patient, willing to explain things to my engineering brain, and brilliant. More, when it came time to change a string, Minda gave me a lesson. She even let me change a few strings on a harp she was working on. Telling me how to do it, showing me how to do it, then letting me do it but talking me through each step. Finally, doing it on my own but with her watching. Great way of learning. I was able to go home and confidently change the string myself. Five of five stars. And an extra star because she's just so darn nice about it.
