I brought in an Old Martin for my husband as a surprise. Wick did a neck reset and it sounds amazing (or so my husband says). Very informative about the process. Highly recommend him. Thx Wick. read more

Never gave me an estimate, never gave me a timetable. Had my guitar for a month. Don't go here. Go somewhere else. Not a professional. SHAME. read more

Wick is still remarkable. When your luthier sends you this before 8am AND he returned from vacation just to get it done for your son, you know you've found not only a great luthier but a great man. From day one of meeting Wick, he's treated Randal with dignity and respect even though Jr was just a boy with a simple guitar. If you play a guitar, you need a luthier and Wick is the best. Thank you for keeping my son's Taylor "smooth as butter" - Jr's words. @wicks_guitar_shop read more

Great luthier! Chad is an amazing craftsman and a great person on top of it. I am a beginning bass player and Chad has been completely helpful and respectful of my basic requests for help. Although he works on some of the finest professional player's instruments in DFW, he treats me like I am his number one customer every time I see him. Excellent work at very fair prices and a gentleman theoughout. Couldn't recommend him more highly! read more

Couldn't be happier with the service I received at this great local guitar shop. I would totally recommend to anyone, you won't be disappointed. Fort Worth is lucky to have him! read more

Don't hesitate to bring your treasured Santa Cruz or your beloved old Squire to Wick's. He's an absolute pro, treating every instrument with immense care and attention, and he'll go to great lengths to make sure the set up is precisely suited to your preferences and style of playing. Better yet, he's a genuinely good guy that you can trust to conduct his business amiably and earnestly. Thrilled to have him in Fort Worth! read more

Wick's attention to detail and perfection in his work makes him the top luthier in Fort Worth. He's worked 4 of my guitars now - 2 acoustic and 2 electric - and they play perfectly. read more

First off I would like to say that this repair shop/luthier shop is most likely in the top 5 if not the top 3 in the metroplex. I have taken my instruments to folks in the past and they didn't seem to actually "get" what I was asking for but Chad DEFINITELY does. I brought in two guitars one was a vintage Yamaha that my mother had given me that was pretty much unplayable with a stripped truss rod and was in desperate need of a set up within my limited budget. He ultimately gave me many options to choose from and I ultimately went with a "poor man's neck reset" and a set up. I will say that I am COMPLETELY blown away by the guitar now and I just keep thinking and asking my self it is the same guitar because it is ABSOLUTELY playable and sounds so good, I just can't say enough good things about this man and his great skills and business practices a couple of more things to note though are: 1. His location is very conveniently with ample parking nearby. 2. His tools are of HIGH quality because he cares about what he is using to work on such delicate instruments. 3. He is a humble, honest, and modest guy. 4. He has an incredible turn around time for challenging projects and any project for that matter. 5. His prices are OUT OF THIS WORLD reasonable compared to other local luthiers with his skill level and experience. 6. etc etc.... Just give him a shot at your instrument and I am confident you will be happy. I have this same review on Google under "Organictoon". read more

Had two acoustic guitars resurrected from the dead here and was blown away both times by the quality of service and helpful attitude. Very reasonable price and the turn time was cut in half to help me meet the deadline of my son's birthday. read more

Bought my first Nash at Wick's. Great guitar. Great service. Great place to get guitar lessons from the legendary Boo Massey!

Fantastic job on repair of my Mesa amp. Finally repaired after multiple attempts at a well known shop in Dallas

I like this shop a lot better when it's open. I've probably visited 4 times in the past few years, most recently today, and I've only been inside once. Every other time, it's been closed. I don't show up at odd times or anything, it has always been between 11-3, it seems. The hours say it's open at 11 on the door. I showed up today around 11:45 and there was no signs of life in the shop and the door was locked. It's a nice shop, but the one time I was in there I wasn't there to buy a guitar, I just wanted to know what the stock was like so the next time I bought a guitar, I might be able to consider them. However, the owner took no interest in me and was quite rude. I'm sure he's good at what he does, but there's plenty of other shops where they open on time and the owner doesn't talk down to you. read more
