She really made the tasting experience both fun and educational. The relaxed atmosphere of this place was perfect for sipping wine. I ended up leaving with a bottle of 2021 Tualatin Estate Pinot Noir which was my favorite of the ones I sampled.

She highly recommended it, so we walked over after our lunch! This was one of the best tasting we've had in awhile. The wines, atmosphere, and wine maker (forgot his name, doh!) were all great! All the wines we tasted were solid- from Rose to Reds to Malbac. And the stories behind the names of the wines were fun to listen to also. The PDX was my fav, along with the Rose. My wife and I saw a two-piece band setting up for their performance through the window, and decided to pop in for a glass (or two) and some live entertainment. We were warmly welcomed into this classy (seeminly family run) little space, ordered a chardonnay (I didn't catch the name), Rose of Tempranillo (which my wife liked so much, she ordered one for herself afterward), and the Gewurstraminer (which ended up being my favorite). All the while, we were engaged and entertained by the two members of the band, who were amused by our toddler's sons utter fascination with them and their music. Big thanks to both of them, and the owners of Pinot Vista, for allowing and taking pleasure in our son's wanderings and exploration! He was enraptured! Such a relaxing environment, couple with some wonderful wine, beautiful music, and spending time with family without any responsibilities or expectations, is the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, and I can't imagine many better places in McMinnville than here at Pinot Vista! We will definitely be back, the next time we find ourselves in town.

The tasting room in Sherwood is easy to find, has plenty of parking, and has lots of space indoors and outdoors. There's a large open main tasting room with several different types of seating, a private room upstairs, and lots of seating in the covered outdoor area. The views of Mount Hood and the surrounding vineyards are breathtaking! They have two main wine tasting options: the Vista Flight ($25) and Single Vineyard Flight ($40). If you're new to Chehalem Wines, I recommend the Vista Flight. Both are fantastic, and if you're a Stoller Group member, you get either one flight or one glass at this (or other member wine tasting rooms) for free each month. We love their Pinot Noir wines, especially the Corral Creek Vineyard Pinot Noirs. But they also have a delicious Grüner Veltliner and solid Chardonnays. While you're wine tasting, this is a great place to also grab a bite to eat, as they have a full kitchen and food menu. Their focaccia bread is super fluffy and SO good! Wine prices are on par with this part of the Willamette Valley, and some are actually below the average in this area for what I think are high quality wines. Finally, we always have amazing service here. The staff are friendly and helpful. We always love coming back here and can't wait for our next visit. If you're looking for a spot to go wine tasting in this area, I highly recommend making a reservation (although they take walk-ins).
