She really made the tasting experience both fun and educational. The relaxed atmosphere of this place was perfect for sipping wine. I ended up leaving with a bottle of 2021 Tualatin Estate Pinot Noir which was my favorite of the ones I sampled.

All the wines we tasted were solid- from Rose to Reds to Malbac. And the stories behind the names of the wines were fun to listen to also. The PDX was my fav, along with the Rose. My wife and I saw a two-piece band setting up for their performance through the window, and decided to pop in for a glass (or two) and some live entertainment. We were warmly welcomed into this classy (seeminly family run) little space, ordered a chardonnay (I didn't catch the name), Rose of Tempranillo (which my wife liked so much, she ordered one for herself afterward), and the Gewurstraminer (which ended up being my favorite). All the while, we were engaged and entertained by the two members of the band, who were amused by our toddler's sons utter fascination with them and their music. Big thanks to both of them, and the owners of Pinot Vista, for allowing and taking pleasure in our son's wanderings and exploration! He was enraptured! Such a relaxing environment, couple with some wonderful wine, beautiful music, and spending time with family without any responsibilities or expectations, is the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, and I can't imagine many better places in McMinnville than here at Pinot Vista! Our wine educator and host for the day was Robin. Although Robin has only been on staff a short time you would not know it. She was a wealth of knowledge, seems to know all the regulars by their first names, attentive to everyone's needs and easy to talk to. Tastings are $25 per and we were fortunate enough to explore 6 to 7 of their wines on this visit. We sampled Pinots, Chardonnay's, Sparkling Wines as well as a nice Rosé. Tasting fees are waived with the purchase of 2 wines per tasting. Wines are priced to buy and this was an easy waive of all tasting fees. We had a blast at Pike Road Wines and encourage anyone visiting McMinnville to stop in and enjoy some beautifully crafted wines.
