The location is a warehouse in the middle of a residential area, but don't let that sway you from visiting and sampling some vino. I made sure to snap a couple pictures of the exterior for ease of locating. They have a variety of wines for big red and white drinkers and a couple rose wines. In the tasting room you will find plenty of cute white corks with purple cow print on them and a nice selection of award winning wines. They also hold social events including paint nights. There were plenty of paintings displayed all over the walls and is a blast if you never painted whilst drinking wine! For the lighter spectrum they start with Muscat, then Riesling, a Pinot Noir Blanc and a Pinot Noir Rose. For more full bodied reds, they have a nice selection as well. Enjoy and bottoms up!

Coeur de Terre Vineyard was a nice surprise. We had never heard about this winery nor did we plan…read moreto visit this space while in the Willamette Valley; but fortunately, we randomly found out about it and were so glad to check it out on a Sunday afternoon. There are so many different wineries around the Willamette Valley, so it's difficult to choose where to go. And of course, the most popular ones will likely be booked up. But my partner found Coeur de Terre and made a reservation for us to visit this winery in the late afternoon, which ended up being a delightful experience. The vineyard is located far from the city, up on a hill, surrounded by other vineyards and orchards. Just the setting itself is worth visiting. The winery with its own vineyard is spacious, with a large, open building that's open for the public. However, where you want to sit is outside on the patio, which overlooks the hills and vineyard. We had a reservation for 4PM on a Sunday, which was the last hour before closing. We tried six different wines: a chardonnay, pinot gris, rose, syrah and two pinot noirs. Now, we came to Oregon wine country because we wanted to explore pinot noirs, which is king in this part of the country. And I can say that the pinot noirs at Coeur de Terre were solid. I normally would not choose a pinot noir, but Coeur de Terre made me a believer. They grow all of their grapes here at the vineyard, and what I liked most about the pinot noirs is that they were more robust than other pinot noirs I've had. I like my reds more bold and heavy, and these pinot noirs were heavier. We had a wonderful experience here, exploring the pinot noirs and taking in the views and setting. The employee who helped us out was friendly, too. I recommend visiting if you're in the area. Tasting is $25 per person, and is waived with a $75 bottle purchase per person.

From the moment we walked in the staff greeted us with the type of welcoming spirit that made us feel like old friends. We got their 5 wine tasting that included a pinot gris, 3 pinot noir's and ending with a chardonnay. Each wine was as beautiful as the view from their outdoor patio looking out to Mount Jefferson. If you're looking for a winery that truly encapsulates what it's like to be in Oregon, look no further.

We knew we wanted to return and were thrilled to be able to share our recent experience with family members. The wines are incredible (and we have been Wine Club Members since 2018). Our recent visit was absolutely perfect although the weather didn't cooperate for a picnic at the top of one of the mountains amongst the vineyards. We had a lovely and super informative tasting of at least 6 wines and enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board as well. We had been encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoyed that on the beautiful covered terrace while watching the summer rains. Plan ahead and make sure you visit Cristom Vineyards when you are in the Willamette Valley. Reservations recommended!

The gentleman pouring was absolutely lovely and very attentive even though the place was packed when we arrived. The wine was good. Usually I am more of a white wine enthusiast, but the Barbera here was excellent. The Tempranillo was very spicy, which worked for me but I know does not appeal to everyone.

I have to say I really loved all their wines. When you walk in their tasting area may seem a little primitive and not as fancy as some you see in places in the McMinnville AVA, however, the service was great and friendly. The server indicated that had just recently been bought out by Union wines which produces Underwood wine and is based out of Tualatin. This must have been a real recent purchase as neither of their websites reflect that. All in all a good solid group of reds and whites. Stop by and give them a try. I know I'll be back again.
