Beautiful location along the Van Duzer Corridor. Was on my way to Lincoln City and didn't make it bc the detour to this lovely winery took precedence. Welcomed with their Pinot Noir Rosé and did a four glass tasting of their reds. Tried their charcuterie. Took in the misty view as the fog rolled in with the winds over the valley. My wife and I and two other couples visited Van Duzer this past Saturday afternoon. Four of us are from CA and the other two from Portland. We all thought it was a great experience. The wines were all good and some excellent. Most of us had the premium tasting of only reds, and one couple did the regular tasting of white, rose and reds. One of the Pinot Noirs on the regular tasting was fantastic- I forget which but it was $65 a bottle on their list. We sat outside at a table on the grass overlooking the valley. The weather and view were unmatched. The service was also very attentive (Reegan) who mentioned she was engaged and about to get married. The other girl (from AK) was her friend, but can't remember her name. Will definitely return to Van Duzer the next time we make it up to Oregon. read more

After not being able to make a reservation online, I called and talked to a very nice gentleman. I told him we were coming home from the coast about 15 minutes away and asked if we could come in for a tasting. He said they weren't taking anymore tasting reservations for the day but we were welcome to come in for a glass of wine. We were welcomed in and the gentleman introduced us to Reegan who was very helpful and also very nice. They have a beautiful tasting room, with flavorful wines. On the enclosed unheated patio, they provide blankets. Lovely afternoon. We can't wait to go again when we can try more in a tasting. read more

Van Duzer was one of the last wineries we checked out while in the Willamette Valley but it definitely had one of the best views. You do have to travel down a long, gravel road so give yourself a few extra minutes because that definitely slows you down. Once you arrive though, you realize the drive was worth the views! Our server for the day was extremely friendly- she started our pour off with an extra tasting (rose) that was not on the menu. She also helped to inform us about the wine club and was not pushy when we declined it for the time being. I enjoyed all the reds (not a huge white wine fan in general) but my favorite had to be the 2017 Alchemy Pinot. I would have gone home with a bottle of this if it weren't for having to fly home & no room to add it. The tasting fee is $20 but we had the BOGO deal with the Priority Wine Pass. Additionally, the tasting fee is waived with a 2 bottle purchase. I would visit here again if back in the area! read more

Great patio and sweeping views. We popped in late on a Friday afternoon for a quick tasting ($10 pp, but you can actually share a tasting if you like). Justin was helpful, knowledgable about the property and wines, and just a cool dude to chat with while we sipped. My husband made the comment that he liked every single one of the wines we tasted--he's normally a beer drinker, so it's not common for him to like them all--much to my dismay, as I usually get his leftovers. ;) Important: They do not sell glasses of wine or bottles to open/consume on property starting one hour before they close (4pm), so plan accordingly. read more

Beautiful property and wine! Big thanks to Justin, the tasting room manager for being so chill and walking us through our wine tasting. I'd recommend packing a picnic lunch, buying a bottle of their rose, and sitting outside on their gorgeous patio overlooking the vineyards and valleys. I loved this winery because the tasting room isn't supersized, the bar fits about 12 people comfortably - it's intimate and personable. For every $30 you buy in wine, you get your $10 tasting fee waived - naturally we bought a couple. One for the vineyards patio and one for later. read more

The best feature of this Winery is the amazing view. Even if you don't drink wine you should go for the view. The wine tasting was $10 per person for 5 wines, but they let you share. The portions were also more generous than the other vineyards we visited and the wine was tastier. I would definitely come back here if I'm ever in Oregon again. read more

Beautiful views from atop the hill Van Duzer is situated upon. Wines are delightful and so are the staff. Can bring a picnic for the grassy knoll or wooden tables under the tree. This vineyard has the grand daddy of all possible views. It sits atop a rolling hill from which you can see far into the surrounding fields and mountains -- absolutely beautiful! I couldn't get enough -- they even have these cool windmill sculpture things that catch the breeze and make you feel all tranquil. The wine tasting is $10, which is a little bit steep, but we were able to share tastings and the wine was indeed VERY good. They were unfortunately sold out of their famous Dijon Block Pinot, but we tried a house blend that had a large percentage of the Dijon Block in it, and it was delicious. I can only imagine how good the straight stuff is, haha. I highly, highly recommend bringing a picnic basket full of goodies, grabbing a bottle of vino, and wasting away the day on the grass here. Bonus? They play AWESOME music -- The Shins, Mumford... totally chill. read more

Welcoming was horrible. David was unwelcoming and told us what we had to taste 30 minutes before closing. Part of our party does not drink red and was told that was our only option and we could not purchase a bottle to share. Winery is set down a three mile gravel road off of 99W south of Amity. Their nice tasting room is perched on top of a hill that gives you a great view of the South Willamette farming region. You can can tell that their vines are still relatively young (lack of complexity) and they are charging on the high end ($45) for their pinots. Their Flagstone pinot was the one that I enjoyed the most (and ended up buying). Tastes are served in stemless glasses which is a little odd. A $10 tasting fee is waived with purchase. If you are tasting in the Amity area, it is worth visiting this winery for the view alone. read more

The wine tasting was really great here and the views from outside the winery were spectacular. Recommend coming here and enjoying the Pinot. They also wave the tasting fee with a $30 purchase. This is really a little gem of a place, particularly in the time of COVID! It's a beautiful setting with a spectacular view of the Willamette Valley. The staff is very friendly, and we found, very welcoming, and conscientious about masks and social distancing. Nadine and David have both poured for us, and both have been terrific. During the COVID crisis they are only doing wine tastings at particular times and you need a reservation. We've been on several occasions. Our first time, we realized we liked every wine we tasted, even the Chardonnay which we don't usually care for. The staff has poured us a few extras that were not on the menu, but that they thought it would be to our liking. You can bring a picnic, sit outside, look at the beautiful view and drink great wine! This was was the first of our four-winery tour on a beautiful February day. The view was really pretty, rolling hills and a new tasting room with great artistic touches. We were the first group of the day and Danielle was working the tasting room. She was friendly and knowledgeable, although it seemed to take a while to get the tastes and we were anxious to get drinking (probably a combination of us driving for an hour and really wanting wine, and being her first group). We got four tastes for $10; you can also get four others for $15. And they refund your fee if you purchase a bottle. The pours were pretty small (again, we were really thirsty!). We bought a bottle of 2007 Cab Sav for $30, which was tasty but a little overpriced compared to what we later found at Maysara. Overall, we thought this place was okay. Danielle was pretty chatty, which didn't suit us but others might like. The setting was definitely lovely. And the wines were decent. read more

Good red wines ( texture, complexity aroma etc. it's there). Their wine maker got skills, however why so much tartaric acid? Can't your wine be good naturally? You can definitely taste and see the added tartaric acid aka wine diamonds on the cork. It just cheapens the wine. Beautiful setting. I recommend sharing a bottle of Reserve Pinot Noir on their patio. Since this wine has some "added ingredients" that should not be added to quality wine, I recommend you take some aspirins after drinking, or enjoy the headache next day. read more

The wine was good, bold, and flavorful. The tasting room is beautiful, but the woman pouring the wine was a little too pretensions for me. She kept reminding us how much she loved her job and how great she was at it. She also tried all the wines along with us, which was a little weird. I'm no wineo, but it was unpleasant to watch her draw air in and try to talk at the same time. We visited four other wineries on this day and Van Duzer was our groups least favorite. The wines were much higher priced than any of the other wineries we visited. Although the view was breathtaking, and the tasting room charming, the chattiness of our hostest and the high price of the wine will cause me not to return. read more

First actual winery I've ever visited but had an outstanding experience. My husband and I walked in at 4:30pm on Sunday and were mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the country land and vineyards! Special and with a purchase of two fabulous bottles (Pinot Gris & Pinot noir) they waived both of our tasting fees ($15 each). Will definitely be back to this classy establishment. Yes - you drive on an unpaved road through fields and other wineries. Don't get discouraged...you're on the right path! Visited on a Sunday afternoon, late, so was one of only three in the tasting room. Danielle was great! Like catching up with an old friend. Spent as much time talking about books we like and restaurants in the area as we did about the wine (which was great, by the way). Walked away with a bottle of white (I'm a red wine drinker) and will be back to try more next time I'm in the Portland/Salem/Dallas area. read more

This was a great spot! Better views than the other vineyards in the area. Wine was also a better quality. When we went it was a very windy day and some of our food blew away but Danielle was so sweet and jumped to help out right away. She was also very knowledgeable about all the wines and walked us through the whole tasting. Only downside is that the only food they serve is cheese and crackers.
