If you are looking for a winery to go to this is a great place to visit, its out in the country with beautiful views. This is also a great place to have a wedding my cousin had her wedding her and it was awesome, with plenty of room outdoor and indoor with plenty of parking too.

This is one of THE most beautiful wineries in the US. The outdoor area is beautiful and well decorated, amazing location to host weddings etc and indoor decoration is just as great. The wine tastes great and the service is truly amazing. I'd highly recommend.

We stopped here for a tasting late in the afternoon. The place is beautiful. The buildings are relatively new, but they look timeless, with stone and wood. The day we were there they were holding the wine tastings in the larger area of the building because they had resealed the bar in the tasting room, which by the way, turned out beautifully. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the winemaking, organics and biodynamics, as well as the history of the vineyard and family that founded it. The wine was really good, especially the pinot noir.

Alright, I'll be frank. I couldn't believe that their wines were this excellent quality. During my entire Labor Day weekend tasting in Willamette Valley, we handed over our information to become wine members. It was absolutely delicious for those who definitely appreciate and love wine. Don't get me wrong, finding the tasting room isn't easy but that didn't destroy quality of wine or customer service. Props to Dominic for his amazing knowledge and helping us get an appointment on a very busy weekend.

We stopped back here on Thanksgiving weekend. They posted a Facebook status that it was there last day of their Thanksgiving weekend party. Which was a good thing because I know they are normally closed on Sunday. In fact, Sunday's a great day to be open so Maysara folks, if you haven't changed your hours to include Sunday, please consider it. I have to rave about the new tasting room. I have never seen anything so fabulous. It's on past the original place where they used to have tastings and in a brand new building that is complete with covered parking. That is perfect for these Northwest days where we see much rain. Not to mention that fact that this winery's road is called Muddy Valley Road for a reason. The rock work on the walls is very beautiful and I'm sure not inexpensive. I tried to include a couple of pictures to show the true beauty of it all. Even the bathrooms adjacent to the tasting room had the rock work and the wooden plank counter tops. Truly nice indeed. Did I mention on the day we were they they had a deal that for twenty dollars you could taste five wines and taste some delicious food that paired well with the wine and you got to keep the attractive Maysara wine glass. It was very good and a nice little nosh that you normally do not receive with your wine tastings. I would give that five stars as well as the wine. A couple of things I didn't really like was they were a little eager to pour the wine so I felt a little pressure to down the taste I had and move on to the next one so that by the time I got done I had nothing to drink with the rest of the sample plate I had pieced together. I'll give them a break they were excited and eager to please so I get it but next time slow the pace down a bit more. One of the other odd things they did was to hand you a green ticket when you got there and then you hand it to the server at the end of the line. I didn't know what this was for but it was basically their way of counting everyone. Folks, figure out another system. I had my plate, glass and utensils filling my hands and had to dig through my pockets for this item only to find out it was their method of counting. How about a tick mark on a piece of paper when we walk in? Just an idea. The wine is very tasty and reasonably priced. You need to check out this new tasting room. It's worth the trip.

Loved the look and feel of this winery! Delicious wines and fascinating and inspirational background. Toni was very informative, funny and quirky in the best way! If I didn't live in NJ, I would be in the wine club here

01 Aug 2009, 6pm Just got back from a charity benefit held here. Beautiful setting, perfect for a private evening concert. Great wine, generous, modest hosts, family-owned, wonderful story behind their wine & growing philosophy (see website). They have a large brick wood-fired oven built into the hillside that can be used to bake delicious gourmet pizzas. I would definitely come back here and bring out-of-town visitors. Thank you, Masara Winery, for hosting a wonderful event!

There are so many different wineries around the Willamette Valley, so it's difficult to choose where to go. And of course, the most popular ones will likely be booked up. But my partner found Coeur de Terre and made a reservation for us to visit this winery in the late afternoon, which ended up being a delightful experience. The vineyard is located far from the city, up on a hill, surrounded by other vineyards and orchards. Just the setting itself is worth visiting. The winery with its own vineyard is spacious, with a large, open building that's open for the public. However, where you want to sit is outside on the patio, which overlooks the hills and vineyard. We had a reservation for 4PM on a Sunday, which was the last hour before closing. We tried six different wines: a chardonnay, pinot gris, rose, syrah and two pinot noirs. Now, we came to Oregon wine country because we wanted to explore pinot noirs, which is king in this part of the country. And I can say that the pinot noirs at Coeur de Terre were solid. I normally would not choose a pinot noir, but Coeur de Terre made me a believer. They grow all of their grapes here at the vineyard, and what I liked most about the pinot noirs is that they were more robust than other pinot noirs I've had. I like my reds more bold and heavy, and these pinot noirs were heavier. We had a wonderful experience here, exploring the pinot noirs and taking in the views and setting. The employee who helped us out was friendly, too. I recommend visiting if you're in the area. Tasting is $25 per person, and is waived with a $75 bottle purchase per person.

The tasting area is a section of the winery itself, so you'll see winemakers coming and going, doing their thing, which adds to the whole ambience. Erich with Ricochet and his team have really done an awesome job setting up a fun, warm, relaxing spot for wine tasting. There are picnic tables, cozy little chairs and tables for two, larger tables for groups, and seating at the bar. There's also heaters around which keeps it warm (because wineries can get chilly!). What I really love is that you can not only taste Ricochet wines here, but also wines from their winery partners who also make wine at that location. I think there were 7 other wineries at the time, but that number changes. Tasting flights are $25/person (waived if you are a club member), and you can choose from either an all Ricochet wine flight or the Ricochet et al wine flight, which includes wines from other wineries. We did the et al flight and it was so fun to taste the differences in winemaking styles. So many great winemakers making delicious wines in one spot! You can also book a tour and tasting for $65/person. Definitely make a reservation for that in advance, although they do take walk-ins for the regular tastings. Our forever favorite is the Ricochet Tempranillo, made with grapes from the Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla. It's my favorite vineyard; every wine I've ever had from that vineyard has been amazing. Zane who is also the winemaker of Ze Wines was the one guiding us through our tasting, and Zane is always so knowledgeable and makes wine tasting FUN. The winery is located about 45 minutes to an hour from Portland, depending on where you start. I suggest making a day of it and enjoying lunch or dinner in one of McMinnville's great restaurants (Humble Spirit is a fave!). There's plenty of parking in the winery's parking lot. Definitely add this spot to your wine tasting itinerary! Take it from someone who goes wine tasting a lot: this is an incredible opportunity to taste incredible, unique wines (not just Pinot Noir!) from a lot of different wineries in one spot. We will most definitely be back!!
