Upon walking into this store, however, all the effort it took to get here became worth it. The interior is warm, well-kept, and welcoming. I found a pair of shoes that were already on sale for a great price. When I got to the checkout counter, I had the good fortune of interacting with a truly lovely saleswoman. Unfortunately, I can't recall her name. She greeted us with a genuinely warm smile, and was even nice enough to ask me if I was a student, which got me another 15% off the already discounted price! This level of customer service is what has brought me back to this location when I want something new from Madewell. Five stars.

Said he was trying to make me into a star ballplayer. Well, my friends, Milton's is the store for men. Not just any kind of men, real men. The men of the past. It even smells like the past in here too. Kind of like my pappy's root cellar, mildew included. That's really not the point though. Here, you can find all your fine suited needs. Wingtip shoes, fedoras, seersucker pleats and belts to boot. It is almost like the past, but it lacks something. Maybe the fear of god or of communism. In searching for someone who sold Tommy Hilfiger suits and could help, Milton's came up as one of the results. Taking a chance, I called the Chestnut Hill location and talked to Joe, who was filling in at the location. Let me tell you, for someone who is in full panic mode to talk to someone as knowledgeable, calm and willing to help was a God send. Joe took the time to listen to what I needed. He helped me with finding something that would work for the groomsmen and went above and beyond to make getting them shipped to me easy. I also spoke with Tim, who was friendly, knowledgeable and a tremendous help. Today, retailers of any size seem to be so focused on the amount of the sale to increase profit, they forget about what the customer actual needs. Milton's is not like that in my experience. They helped a guy from over 1100 miles away that is only going to spend $300 dollars like he was the most important customer. Thank you Joe and Tim, I appreciate more than you.

Whenever I have stopped in, (which admittedly is not often), there is almost always someone who greets me fairly quickly and lets me know they are available to assist. On this latest visit I did have a question or two about a blazer I was looking at. The saleswoman was at the ready and was quite helpful. She let me know that even though the blazer was on sale already there was an additional 40% off. It was pricey to begin with but with both a sale price and the additional percentage off it became hard to resist...so I bought it. (I have been updating my seasonal blazer wardrobe over the past several months as I find blazers are often a great way to elevate an outfit and pull everything together.) I was also able to find a pretty gold belt. Alas, the belt was not on sale, and priced higher than I think it should have been but I think I will get a lot of use out of it so I purchased it. When I checked out the cashier was very helpful. She made sure to remind me that the blazer was now a "final sale" and I was in and out in no time flat. Pleasant and easy shopping.

The tux and the shoes were also very comfortable. When the dance floor at my friends' wedding was opened, I started dancing and grooving with abandon! The tux performed its duties marvelously. The shoes, though, are the real MVP! Tearing up the dance floor did not tear up my feet! (especially that area between the heel and ankle) The service here was polite and efficient in helping me pick out the tux, get measured, then at pick up getting everything adjusted. They were also flexible about me moving the drop-off date one day later. Drop off was painless also. Tuxedo Time doesn't appear to be the cheapest. All in, the rental cost me $235. However, money isn't everything, and a tux rental isn't a daily, monthly, or even yearly event. Looking good, being comfortable, and having an overall pleasant experience means I won't hesitate to rent from here again should the need arise.

This is a locally owned shop in charming downtown Hingham. It is well worth a visit…read more In the spirit of "shopping local" this holiday season in particular, a friend and I stopped in recently. They sell an array of very reasonably priced goods: clothes, outerwear, purses, totes, jewelry, knick-knacks. I think it would be pretty easy to find something pretty and fun for people on the average holiday shopping list. There are plenty of gift ideas for stocking stuffers too as well as items that might be nice as hostess gifts. I bought two "evil eye" necklaces here...one for me and one as a gift. The woman running the store was a sweetheart, chatting with us and offering help. They do gift wrapping here which is a plus. I plan to return next week to see if they have any additional items that might help me tick off a couple of more things on my holiday shopping list. It is definitely worth a visit.
