I am surprised by the low ratings for this J. Crew although many of the reviews are from years ago…read moreand they seem to have to do with poor customer service which was not my recent experience. Whenever I have stopped in, (which admittedly is not often), there is almost always someone who greets me fairly quickly and lets me know they are available to assist. On this latest visit I did have a question or two about a blazer I was looking at. The saleswoman was at the ready and was quite helpful. She let me know that even though the blazer was on sale already there was an additional 40% off. It was pricey to begin with but with both a sale price and the additional percentage off it became hard to resist...so I bought it. (I have been updating my seasonal blazer wardrobe over the past several months as I find blazers are often a great way to elevate an outfit and pull everything together.) I was also able to find a pretty gold belt. Alas, the belt was not on sale, and priced higher than I think it should have been but I think I will get a lot of use out of it so I purchased it. When I checked out the cashier was very helpful. She made sure to remind me that the blazer was now a "final sale" and I was in and out in no time flat. Pleasant and easy shopping.

From the moment we walked into the store until we left, the ladies at Faherty, Derby Street were so…read morewelcoming and accommodating. I came with my two children. And in particular, the lady there that was the kindergarten teacher just knew how to interact with bored children (who often accompany parents in shopping). She offered crayons and apple juice and tick tac toe! She gets it. In other words, even if she had NOT offered any of these items, she understood that they are kids and did not demonize them for being curious and (tired of waiting for mama- ha!). And beyond that, we did not get funny looks, or impatient you-do-not-belong here stares, gestures, or silent agitation. The people in the shop made us feel welcome and not out of place. They encouraged us to have a look around the store. Thank you- got two beautiful items from there!

Absolutely refuse to drive into this monstrous array of shops. People backing up without looking,…read morepeople almost getting hit by cars that are walking in appropriate spaces, people cutting each other off, etc. Also have noticed that the majority of the stores have prices that are much higher than the same stores in different towns. The Whole Foods Market is definitely a huge treat for me to walk around then hit it last to find something to cook or snack or enjoy their most tastefully and expertly decorated baked items along with lots of breads to choose from. So Derby Street Shops is like a one stop shopping place. I like that and go home with everything I needed and wanted.

They have basically anything you need for outdoors activities. I've usually shopped for hiking gear and camel backs or osprey / rei branded stuff. Also got a pair of hiking boots. I think it's cool REI is a coop brand. Member owned. They have plenty of sales going on, bicycles standard and electronic assisted, survival gear, clothing from all sorts of brands, boots and hiking gear, camping gear, lanterns, knives, paddles, water shoes, and also have deals on traded in gear. Nice experience. Love walking around and looking at stuff i probably don't need but it's a cool tool or utility purposed item.

Her on-line systems and POS were put to the test for my purchase as this involved your wifi. She did an excellent job finding a way to process my order. She is very polite, friendly, and professional........I'm 61 and appreciate such a driven customer focused work ethic. I was in the market for a new pair of classic jeans having lost a few pounds recently and having gone down a size...(yay). When I entered there were no other customers in the store. There was a worker just standing by the door. I don't know his name but he has shoulder length wavy brown hair. He was doing nothing but standing there. There was a women behind the register counter folding clothes. No greeting from the long-haired guy idly standing by the door. I asked him about the type of jeans I was looking for. He said "We don't have them," I asked about another style. That style happened to be exactly where he had been standing so he grabbed a pair in the size I asked for. I asked about another style and he vaguely waved me over to the area where they were hanging. Off I went to try on the first pair. I had been in the store before so I knew where the dressing rooms were but he didn't know that and offered no assistance in pointing the dressing rooms out. While I liked the jeans, I did not like the color of that particular denim wash. I returned to the guy still unmoved and still standing idly by the door leaning on the rack of hanging jeans, and asked if it came in a different wash. He said there were several washes but he only had one other darker one in the store. The rest were available on line. He could have mentioned the other wash he had in stock when he handed me the first pair of jeans. But that would have required effort that it does not appear this guy has in him. This guy could not have been less interested in helping me. The second darker denim wash was what I wanted so I took those in my size and headed to the register. The young woman at the register was lovely and greeted me warmly. When she went to ring the jeans up, I noted that the darker wash jeans were more money than the pair I had tried on. I asked her about this. She said: "That's odd" and turned to the still idle long-haired guy for an answer. He bothered himself to walk over to the register to mansplain to me that "it is very common for different washes to come at different price points." Really?? He then said: "The company may have just decided that the darker wash should be more money." None of this sounded very convincing. I said: "Is there anyone who might know for sure who you could call to ask?" Apparently not because he just looked up the item in some book and confirmed that the darker wash jeans were the price on the tag and therefore more money. I did purchase the jeans but it was an unfortunate interaction. I had been in this same store about 3 weeks prior to this visit...again it was soon after the store opened and again with no other customers yet. The only worker that day was this same long-haired idle guy. At that visit too he was idly standing but at the register. Apparently nothing in this store needs folding, or straightening by him. During that visit I was just browsing but at no time did he ask me if I needed help. I walked out soon after, purchasing nothing. This guy seems like he is "phoning it in." Whether he is a salesperson, a manager or a wooden post for the Levi's corporation is unclear to me. What is clear is that he demonstrates zero customer service, zero friendliness and zero helpfulness and 100% bad attitude. Maybe I wasn't his hipster demographic and he couldn't be bothered. He comes across as bored and acted dismissively to me the customer. When I do need another pair of jeans I will take my business elsewhere. Who needs this nonsense when I am spending money and helping provide this guy with a job and salary? These experiences are the antithesis of the previous 5-star experience I wrote about here with different sales staff. Long-haired Idle dude: Find a job you like and are good at. You've made this store a hard pass.

Man, I love this place. What makes me want to spend more money on my daughter's clothes than I do…read moreon mine? Because their stuff is so darn cute, and different from what many other stores are selling. I like that fact that the clothes are casual but can be dressed up. The sales staff is exceptionally nice and have always been helpful. I never feel pressure to purchase anything. I've also had better luck with the quality of their clothes than with other places. I guess you do get what you pay for. Definitely worth checking out, especially if there is a good sale.

(Most shops do have similar layout). It was a quiet Monday night whilst waiting for our table to be ready for dinner. Looked around and they had the new colors dropped, ended up with the lady grabbing some more headbands as her other ones were getting old or lost haha. Staff were nice, didn't stay in the store that long but enjoyed this location. Clearance rack in the back left of the shop with some deals to be had for women's lines.
