Like this location, plenty of parking in derby with so many other stores to pop into. Store was clean, displays were nice so the flow of the space felt open. (Most shops do have similar layout). It was a quiet Monday night whilst waiting for our table to be ready for dinner. Looked around and they had the new colors dropped, ended up with the lady grabbing some more headbands as her other ones were getting old or lost haha. Staff were nice, didn't stay in the store that long but enjoyed this location. Clearance rack in the back left of the shop with some deals to be had for women's lines. read more

I've always been a long term fan of Lulu. I recently made an order online and the size wasn't right, so I checked online and called the nearest Lululemon @ Derby Street they said they close at 9PM today. I decided to drive to the store for an exchange or a return. It was 8:43PM and even though the store had 4 employees, they said they closed the register and they are closed. Understand Lululemon is not like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts...some customers have to hike to get to one. If you can't close at the time you promise online or on the phone, you should just change the store hour. A waste of people time, gas, and money!! read more

Lululemon finally kicked it up a notch and opened another Boston location (if you count Hingham as Boston)... if you could somehow have an affair with a shopping plaza, however, I may have found a way to do it with the Derby Shoppes. Anyhoo... this sportswear store is not for the faint of heart (or for the empty of pocketbook). A bit on the expensive side (think $50-60 for a sports bra) the quality of the merchandise is outta this world. Lululemon is a good example of a store where you get what you pay for. Yes, the clothing is rather expensive, but yes you will be wearing your groove pants everyday, and they look good with everything and are warm. The quality of there clothing is amazing. I honestly dont wash the "wicking fabric" like I should, and my clothese still hold up. Little details like the key pocket in the pants, a strategically placed thumb hole in sweatshirts, and very breathable and supportive tops make this the go to place for sportswear. The store itself is conveniently located in Derby Street next to White's Bakery, although Derby is crazy these days! The interior is very sustainable, from their reusable bags with words of wisdom, reusable and recycled content items, and materials they used to build the store with. The staff is beyond knowledgeable, and you truly get they prcactice what they preach, in fact I see many out in the area. They have free yoga classes, charity events, a community board, and a strong following. I was at barecove one day and saw a group of girls all shapes and sizes running, nothing snooty or clicky, just moms, students and individuals supporting eachother. I think supporting a company like this adds value, and I am willing to pay a little more for a company that is socially respnsibly and adding value to the community. read more

Not my favorite lululemon location, but not terrible either. Selection is good, customer service is below average from what I'm used to with this brand. I was in the store yesterday and no one really greeted or helped me. I had to seek out the staff when I had a question (and it didn't appear to be very busy). If I'm dropping a hundred bucks on a jacket or pair of workout pants, I expect a little extra attention. When I was home over the holidays, I had a much better overall experience at the Tyson's Corner & Clarendon locations (DC metro area). I do love that they'll hem any of their pants for you at no extra charge and the quality of the clothing is stellar. Everything I own thus far seems to be well-made and durable. read more

Where do you go when you want to overpay for spandex? Lululemon! I have a love/hate relationship with Lululemon. Let's face it...why do we need to spend over $50 for a pair of what is technically a pair of gym pants? Because they are super comfortable gym pants that look fantastic outside of the gym. Heck, I guess you are getting two pairs of pants for the high price of one. (For full disclosure...I own several Lululemon items but I only wear for exercising.) Anyway, the staff at the Hingham Lululemon are wonderful. Super helpful and always friendly. They offer to hem pant and shirt/tank lengths for "free" (it is most likely built into their retail price), which is exceptionally useful for those of us that are on the petite side. As someone of such stature, I have made use of this service and it is fantastic. Their pants are exquisitely soft and comfortable, even through multiple washings. The tank tops are another story; I have had a lot less success with the tank tops, which just do not work well with my torso. However, they do have some really cute designs. So when you are ready to splurge on some spandex pants, go to Lululemon. You won't be disappointed. read more

This store qualifies for an 'Ohmigod". I'm not entirely certain how I lived without Lulu... prior to this store opening in the Derby Street Shops I must have been going through life in a fugue state. This is a Canadian company and being a canuk myself I'm particularly partial... that aside the technical gear here is out of this world. If you've never tried Lululemon you'll do backflips the first time you try a run in their incredibly wicking proprietary fabric. The prices aren't for the penny-pinching, but it's a worthwhile investment. Styles are flattering and they've got a zillion colors to choose from. Go back often because they're always getting new things in and they sell out- FAST. Unfortunately, they don't really do mark downs so it's rare to get a deal, these togs are an absolute must if you're a hot yoga fanatic or really work up a sweat at the gym. Be forwarned: You'll be addicted. P.S. They'll tailor for FREE- inseams can be a bit long for the non-supermodel set and they'll give you shoes and fit the pants for you in store on the spot. read more

I used to avoid this location because of snarky sales associates but I went back recently solely due to proximity and was pleasantly surprised. The sales associates were all very helpful and pleasant, such a nice surprise. The quality of the products has noticeably gone down quite a bit as I was taking back a ripped at the seam pair of pants. They let me exchange them with no issues though, and I actually did but some other items despite knowing there has been a downgrade in quality of fabric. I do still find their workout wear cute. I do wish it was made as well as it used to be especially as the prices are still pretty steep. In terms of this location though, the service was stellar. read more

I have shopped in Lululemon many times, but not in this location. When I moved to Hingham, I was anxious to check out Derby Street. I went into Lululemon as I was in need of new workout gear. I was in the store for a good 20-25 minutes and was completely ignored. I may as well have been invisible. I even picked out several pairs of leggings and tried them on in the dressing room. No one checked in on me, asked if I needed help or even tried to make conversation with me. I have gone in this store twice in the last month and both experiences have been the same. I love this store. My husband sure doesn't, because you walk out without dropping a pretty penny, but you sure do look good and feel good. The options are endless, tons of tops, great fitting pants, overshirts... all of it, and with lots of colors. The only gripe I have is how fast they sell out, it is almost a mad dash to get there and buy it before they sell out (very competitve). I wish they would stock more of the popular sizes. Staff is VERY accomodating, especially when you try on bundles of clothes and they happily put them away and grab more. They always call you by name and remember what you bought and what will match past purchases. The store itself is inviting and a pleasant shopping experience. I wish they wouldn't move stuff so often because it is a pain to rummage around to find what you saw only yesterday, but oh well. Two thumbs up. A few hundred $ down! read more

Lululemon ( or "Lulu" as I call it) has a great vibe and I think is unique at the Derby Shoppes. The salespeople know their stuff (but they also leave you alone if you don't like salespeople who "hover" (my pet peeve) or constantly come and tell you about the specials. Yes, the stuff is pricey but it is it well made, impeccably designed and wears well. I often get compliments when I wear Lulu clothes and Im 50+. Check it out. read more

I broke down and bought a crop here (can't remember if it was the groove II crop or the rockout crop- it's not reversable, so i think it might be the rock out- but the waistband color is exactly the same as one of the groove crop choices, so I can't tell!) and it's AMAZING. When i wear other workout/yoga pants they feel *so*cheaply made compared to the lulu pants. Plus, I'm a size smaller in this store AND the pants lift your butt. Every pair of pants that I've bought there have held up for years without pilling or fading. I have dozens of tops and even without a sports bra they offer enough support so that you're comfortable. I went to lululemon for the first time because my mother gave me a gift certificate for my birthday. I have to say I was very impressed with the customer service. A woman named Bonny helped me and she was knowledgeable and friendly. I went by myself but felt like I had a girlfriend there to help me pick out clothes. It was a great experience! I ended up with a Ta Ta Tamer...the best sports bra I have ever had and it looks amazing too. Unlike most sports bras I have two breasts instead of the one "uni-boob". It was also nice to find my size! I usually have to wear a sports bra and a shirt with a built in bra when I run but not with this bra. It is very supportive. Although I agree that the clothing can be pricey I have to say that what I payed for that bra was well worth the money. Thank you lululemon! read more
