Ugh, I hate that so many Kohl's locations are closing, but I am glad that there is still a Kohl's at Derby St. Shoppes! I don't go to Kohl's often, mostly because this one is the closest one & is still pretty out of the way to get to, but definitely a very nolstalgic one-stop-shop department store vibe, which I am all for! The deals are not as good as I remember them being back in the day BUT I was able to find some cute Lunar New Year Hello Kitties! One represents the year of the rabbit & the other, represents the year of the horse. At check out, both ended up being marked down even more than I expected ($17 instead of $25), though for some reason, one of them ended up costing more than the other? Both tags showed they were valued at the same prices, including the sale sticker price after 30%... but the additional discount was not the same for both strangely. Oh well. Kohls always has deals, not as good as before as prices on everything has climbed. They are a larger department store and have a bit of everything from dress to casual then sport clothing. They also have licensed sports gear, Nike, adidas, underarmour etc. Kohls here has a huge Sephora in-store location as well which i didn't expect as the other one i go to does not have a huge one like this. We got called for our dinner res so our visit was short. Will be back when in the area! read more

First and foremost I have shopped this location and others like this store for over 17 years! So I am very well acquainted with the store and its merchandise and many of the store employees test today was a great day here at Derby Street Kohls cause I had to return an item at the customer Service Countrt and was helped by an extremely helpful employee named JAMES. Plus I had a minor concern about my Kohls Cash and prior to today I called and another extremely helpful Manager named Claudia, resolved my issue and put me at ease! THANK YOU TO HER! And to continue with JAMES, I found out after he confirmed my concerns to allow me to go and shop that he was a Manager Also! Their Staff is truly Customer Oriented that it keeps me returning always! I'm not quite sure where all the negatives about employees interacting with customers come from. Over the years, I have shopped at Kohl's both online and in store. Sales staff have always been helpful and friendly, often just saying "hi" when I pass them on the aisles. The only complaint I have is that if you are returning anything, you have to stand in line with people who are making purchases. In the reverse, if you are making a purchase, the people returning something can take forever. Come on Kohl's, splurge on that one extra employee so that customers returning items have their own window, separate from people making new purchases. read more

Absolute rudest employees!!! I went in with my grandmother to help pay a bill today since she has trouble with doing things by phone and can't see that well to mail. They don't even have a designated customer service booth to start with , you have to stand and wait in line with all the shoppers so that's one thing to note , we get to the register and off the bat she's being so condescending and treating my grandmother like she's an idiot , she tries to put me in the caregiver situation to ask if i understand what's going on?? On my last visit here, I had wonderful assistance finding what I needed, and was accompanied all the way to the back of the store and shown all of the options. This is unfortunately rare these days, and I really appreciated that kind of customer service, and I wish I knew the person's name so I could thank her properly. I worked in retail in the late 1980s-mid 1990s, and we had a philosophy of "the customer is the reason we have jobs" and sought to assist them; in the majority of places I go these days, I rarely get asked "can I help you?" In most cases, I don't run into employees until I get to the checkout. Also, the sales here are really good (it seems like almost everything I go there for is on sale), and if you use the app and their card, you get Kohl's cash, so you can save a good amount on top of the sales. Maybe it's a sign of the times, but they need more cashiers (like so many places). The line can get really, really long, and they only ever open the registers on one side of the store these days, but used to open both. I think it started during/after the start of the pandemic. Still, when you get to a cashier, they are very friendly. read more

This review is not for the product, or the store really, but for Kohls. I ordered item online and paid over $350, when it arrived it was a different and cheaper model from what I ordered, but it was the same brand. I called customer service and the rude rep said my only option was to go to the store to return it, no shipping option unless I wanted to pay for shipping myself. I felt like she treated me like I did something wrong. So I went to the store and had to wait in a long line because these geniuses decided to make the returns and checkout, the same line. Then they couldn't find the item in their system, fortunately after about 20 minutes the associate just processed a full refund and apologized. She said she was surprised how bad the customer service rep treated me and only gave me the option of returning it to the store. I will never shop at Kohls again, and I don't think I would ever would have this problem at Amazon or Walmart. I was able to order item from amazon and received the correct item. read more

Came here just to browse this afternoon and I ended up getting a pretty good deal on a new top. The item was on sale plus I had a coupon good for thirty percent off of my purchase which made a good deal even better. I am used to shopping their Stoughton location so I had to look around a bit to find the departments that I was looking for since this store is laid out a little differently. But the store was pretty easy to navigate and I did find everything I was looking for. I also ended up getting a bath towel and a matching washcloth both of which were on sale and I used a five dollar promotional card on the purchase of those two items which pretty much allowed me to walk out of the store paying only a dollar and change for both items. So I made out pretty good here today and in the end I got three items for around twenty dollars which is cool. I did notice that the clothing racks in the women's and juniors departments were a bit close together and I really had to watch where I was going to avoid knocking anything over so the store could definitely stand some more room in which to display all of the great things that they have to offer. Also the fitting room was a bit cluttered with clothes all over the place and a return rack that was pretty full. But since it was a weekend afternoon and stores tend to be busy at that time I can imagine that it must be rather difficult to maintain a fitting room and keep it perfect. So I wouldn't hold that against them. I did ask a floor associate for some assistance in finding a price for the top that I was interested in and they were more than glad to help and got me a price right away. The cashier that helped me for both of my transactions today was very helpful as well and provided good customer service. So the customer service both on the floor and at the checkout area was great. My experience today was good and I enjoyed shopping this location. read more

This location always has a good amount of items in stock. Everything is always on sale, so if you're paying full price you're nuts. It does seem to get a bit messy in the store but I think that's because there is so much traffic of people and they just toss things in random spots when they don't like it. read more

Usually it takes a while for them to fill the order I was told but the employee, Erich I think his name was, was incredibly helpful. Not a bad location, quite large and spacious. Not a retailer I would expect would open a store in this type of complex. Sort of surprising that Kohl's is even here. With that, they are definitely busy all the time and do the business needed to continue operating. One problem I had with this location was the amount of empty shelving throughout housewares and some of men's clothing. It appeared many of the shelves were entirely empty and in need of new inventory. About the same amount of empty shelves as full in some departments. Sort of weird. Another thing I was annoyed about here was the lack of cashiers. On a Sunday afternoon (when they KNOW it will be busy) there were several registers on both sides closed with lines about ten people deep. It's an open, organized store, that is set up like most of the other Kohl's locations in the area. They have a special Adidas "tent" in the men's department, which was sort of interesting. Guess they are trying to be better than the others or something! Completely agree with B M., by the way, regarding all of the Kohl's Cash, etc. All their promotions are wonderful and all and you should always use a coupon and possibly some Kohl's Cash from your previous purchase (but it really screws up returns). Above average but could be a tad better. Considering everything, 4 stars seems appropriate. I'll be back in the future and would highly suggest this specific Kohl's store in comparison to many of the subpar others. read more

Isn't it nice when you look up an item on a store's website, you go and they actually have it? Kohl's is that place. I finally found the Jurassic Park bedsheets my 7 year old step-son wanted, ON SALE! And was able to find them at this location... initially I was nervous as I saw "only one left!," but I took a gamble and voila! I've been coming to this location for years. It's in an excellent location, and I mean-- it's Kohl's, they have everything! I have bought dresses for weddings, and completely revamped my wardrobe, purchased jewelry and found tons of Christmas gifts! As always, Kohl's does not fail to produce. Prices are always reasonable, and quality is always guaranteed. I have also noticed that the staff are uniquely friendly and don't make you feel like a ding-dong when you have questions. Also, the ladies bathroom is always spotless, well-lit and the stalls are big enough that you don't brush your leg on the toilet when opening the door. read more

This location seems to have the nicest sales people. Nicely layed out. If you have Kohl's cash be aware that if you buy multiple items the Kohl's cash will be spread out amongst the items. If you return one of the items you risk the Kohl's cash being forfeited or you might be lucky and gett the Kohl's cash back for use in the next 30 days. They keep changing their policies. read more

This review is for Kohls Return Policy -- I selected this location because it's the one where I made my return. Yesterday, a sad thing happened. My beloved Cuisinart Keurig stopped working in the middle of brewing my Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spice K-Cup. I tried to troubleshoot with no success. Remembering that the Keurig was purchased at Kohls, about a year ago, I looked up their return policy. They claimed to have a "no-hassle" return policy -- you don't even need a receipt if you want to evenly exchange the item. Then I remembered that I used the box the Keurig came in to hold some goods for a recent Goodwill donation. Would they take it without the box? I called them up and they said, "sure no problem". I brought it in today and was in and out of there with my new Cuisinart Keurig in less than 5 minutes. Now that's some pretty good customer service. read more

OK. I'm not quite sure I'm willing to admit this... But I shop at Kohls... My dad (super fashionable in his purple sweat pant ensamble) loves Kohls, so I usually hit it up around xmas and his bday to pick him up a new shirt and tie or a sweater or something so that he can return it if he wants... The problem? I usually end up buying stuff for myself... Why? it's so cheap, and to be honest, the quality isn't that bad! Some of the lines actually have a nice fit to it (more fitted, fashionable cuts). Granted, These things purchase aren't going out clothes, but I do buy a lot of dress pants and shirts here because I burn through them so quickly wearing the business attire so frequently. So, yeah. I shop at Kohls. It's cheap, and honestly, one of my favorite shirts actually came from here. And I get compliments on it. I usually lie though and say I got it at BR, or sometimes I get saucey and say it came from Saks. Not really. read more

This is my go-to Kohl's department store. It's fairly organized compared to other Kohl's I've been to (In my opinion). This Kohl's can get seriously packed during the Holidays because of the location. The staff is friendly and very helpful. This one attendant took time out to help me look for an item, she was very kind about it and offered to call another location to see if they had it. I've been a Kohls card holder since they first opened in Hingham. I have been a stellar customer, I make quite a bit of purchases online and pay my credit card in full before the due date. I am hereby proclaiming that after many, many mishaps by Kohls that I am closing my account and BOYCOTTING them forever. I have given them many opportunities to rectify certain situations to no avail. I'm DONE. What a great deal. This is the only reason I would come here for their awesome deals. I am a frequent shopper at kohls but lately the employees have been very pushy in trying to get me to open a Kohl's charge card. I told the cashier i was all set i didnt want one and she had asked me three more times then continued to run my credit and told me i had been approved to open a card. Was told by cashier at hingham derby street location that if i applied for kohls charge card i could get $30 off of the pillow i was planning on purchasing. I asked 3 times if it mattered whether or not i was approved and was told it did not matter. I was denied the kohls charge card and then was told that the discount only works if i am approved, which i was told was not the case. Then i was told that brand name items were also excluded from discounts, another stipulation i was not made aware of. Being denied on a charge card goes against your credit score and had i known all of these stipulations i wouldnt have even bothered applying. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me all the stipulations that i wasnt aware of until the manager told me afterwards. Was then told by said manager they will make sure it doesnt happen to people in the future but was given absolutely no resolution to my problem. The manager told me it was only a soft hit ti my credit which i am aware of but it is still a hit on my credit. This was the worst customer experience i have had in quite sometime and kohls is usually great with helping their customers but i canceled my original purchase of the pillow i wanted because i was so angry with their customer service. Went to return without receipt..was expecting store credit...i originally paid $30 for item..told by very nice cashier because of timing I would receive $11 refund...i figured they were now marked down....was not pleased..she then informed me I could do even exchange ( different size)..i found the item still being sold for $30... So Kohls not only would have gotten there merchandise back to resell..they retained. 66% of my money ! Just doesn't sound right read more

I think this Kohls is one of the best Kohls within 10 miles of Boston, Mas. I think it has good prices for clothes and awesomely cool sales. I think I like the pants and I really like the wide selection of shoes and also high heels for the working woman.
