Nope. There is a seam down the crust it's perfectly circular, and it tastes like a cracker. There is no tang from the sauce. I can't even taste it. Too much cheese. Disappointing. So we have been searching for Greek food as well as the perfect pizza in this town since we moved here last summer and since this place had great reviews we decided to give it a try. OMG. This was the BEST Gyro and fries we have EVER HAD and we have tried them around the USA. The place is just a little dive (those are usually the best! ) and had the biggest "love and history" vibe. I parked right in front of their building to go next door to Bangkok Tokyo and was unaware of how aggressive either the manager or owner was . but as I get out of my vehicle , this person in a silver tundra proceeds to drive into the parking lot and continuously honks at me and rolls down Her window and yells " you can't park there! that is for Vince's pizza !! " so I go into bangkok and tell the manager and she stated that there's no assigned parking and goes out to talk to the lady and the lady is arguing stating I need to move my vehicle . I would say to just be careful interacting with the folks running that business as they are not friendly or professional. Up until recently you could just add to your Yelp review by clicking on "Edit review" but Yelp has recently changed that. Now you have to start all over with a new review if you want to describe a more recent experience. You can't even go back and correct any typos you see which is really irritating. Now on to my review: I've had the spaghetti here twice and just love it. It's about as close as my mother's spaghetti as I can find. She wasn't Italian but she learned how to make spaghetti back in the 1940s from an Italian neighbor. I went back to try their Greek chicken which seemed to be only available in the Greek salad but it was more of a disappointment. The chicken was fine but to me Greek chicken should be grilled or roasted in lemon juice and garlic which this didn't seem to be, or so it wasn't very strong. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were nice and fresh and crunchy but the dressing was just bottled Italian, nothing Greek about it at all. I've made Greek dressing at home so I know it's not that hard. Olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar (red wine vinegar works great), garlic, seasonings like oregano and basil, salt and pepper. Salad dressing can make or break a salad and the real deal is probably cheaper than buying bottled anyway . Maybe there just isn't a lot of demand for it in Amarillo. The pita bread was okay but didn't taste real good quality or fresh. It could have benefited greatly from a quick grill/fry in olive oil. That's the best way so it is crunchy on the outside like toast or a toasted hamburger bun. There was some Greek feta cheese but it was in little cubes rather than crumbled over the top traditional style. The Greek olives had good flavor but were very tiny and kind of mushy so they probably came out of a can. At least they were Greek olives, not like another place where I ordered a Greek salad and they just put regular black olives over the top. Give me a break. The people who own the place are very nice. I like them a lot. I'll come back for the spaghetti for sure and I should probably try their gyros someday since it has such a good reputation. I chose this place based on the reviews and I really, really wanted to like it. I ordered a 12" vegetarian pizza. It had potential. The crust was headed in the right direction. Veggies were fresh except for the mushrooms, which obviously came out of a can. Sauce was a little light, but seemed to taste fine. The people running the place were very nice. Now the problem is when I opened the box, I could immediately tell the pizza was not cooked enough. The crust appeared pasty. When I bit into a slice, it was doughy and soggy. I hate to sound harsh, but HOW DO YOU OVERLOOK SOMETHING LIKE THAT?? Especially if you own the place. I'm driving cross-country and wanted to get out of Texas sooner rather than later, so that is why I didn't go back to have them put it back in the oven. Growing up in Chicago makes me a real Chicago girl when comparing American Italian places to eat. Nothing usually can beat the places I love in Chicago --- That is until I got to Vince's! Not only does he have a nice selection of main courses but he has AWESOME ~BAKLAVA!! Gyros are so fresh tasty and out of this world! Greek Salad yum ! He does a very off the cuff cool Calzone that is extremely tasty ! LOVE them they are huge almost as huge as his giant pizzas~ Prices are perfect! I'm conflicted. Their pizza is amazing. Their lasagna was disappointing: small for the price with just couple of small flat noodles thrown on top of the remaining ingredients. I couldn't make out layers or the ricotta layer that is typical for traditional lasagna. I recommend ordering the pizza and not the lasagna. read more

My wife and I have been coming here for 15+ years. This is not fast food pizza like the Hut or Domino's, but a mom & pop restaurant that has been around forever. Vince & his wife are very friendly too. I love the crust of their pizza & calzone. The toppings are nothing special, just your standard fare, but they're still good. BUT the crust sure is!!! Bread/crust is what I really look for when it comes to pizza. Their calzone is delicious too. It's baked first and then quickly deep fried like an empanada to give it a golden finish. Ask for extra marinara to dip your calzone. Then prepare for a nap. They also offer gyros which are very popular with many people in Amarillo, maybe more so than their pizza. They're not really my thing, but I hear great things about them. The only negative I've ever experienced here is they've sometimes been closed during days & times they're advertised because it's family run & well, life happens to us all sometimes. read more

Pulled up in front of this place and was reading the Yelp reviews to decide what to pick when an man comes out to my car and asks me if I am eating there. Due to his intense questioning, I said I wasn't sure and he said that I could only park there if I was eating at the pizza place. I was seriously startled by the fact that he felt he had to come outside specifically to me and asked me why I was parked where I was and that I had to eat at the pizza place to stay there. I was totally creeped out and left. Never before have I ever been accosted at my car in a parking lot in front of a restaurant. Just a bit too intense for me, I guess. Well.. the food was passable, even if somewhat overpriced. Ice tea is paid refill only after a $2.50 cup. Staff ignored me for 10 minutes before I went and asked for a menu and tea. As I still sit here, the two women working have their children/grandchildren running around screaming inches by my table. They have tripped over me and fallen twice, but no one has tried to tame them. There are now extended family or friends of the workers who also brought 3 more kids who are now (all 5) running, screaming and COUGHING on our food. We will NEVER be back. read more

Very small place, only seats about 35 people, but this is the spot for authentic greek cuisine! Family owned and operated and have been in business as long as i can remember (i'm old). Good size portions and very reasonable pricing. You MUST try the gyro (pronounced hero) sandwich once in your lifetime. Dont let the dive atmosphere fool you, they are the real meal. read more

Great News! Soon Bangkok Tokyo will have the opportunity to enlarge their restaurant. This statement (opinion) comes from my perspective, not theirs. We just finished eating at VINCE'S PIZZA (our first and last time). To start with, they have a small sign (about the size of a dollar bill) that states "cash only". This sign is not located on the entrance where customers can see it and make a choice, but it's next to the cash register. (not the same place you place an order) One of the first signs of a failing business. I walk with the assistance of a cane and it is difficult to walk any distance. They made me walk across to the gas station and use the ATM (not my bank so it cost me an extra $3 to get cash) When I returned I complained and the manager knocked a few dollars of my tab. Now the food. My wife had a small pizza and I had a calzone. The crust on both was tasteless! The sauce that accompanied the calzone was cold. Rant is now over and I can't wait until Bangkok Tokyo is able to expand. read more

This was my first time coming here! It's kinda a hold in the wall. The people were friendly and helped me pick what I would like best. After a bit, I went with the gyro, and a side salad. I order it Togo and was given a water for while I waited! The place smelled fantastic! They had my food out in about 10 minutes. I went back to work and set down to eat, the gyro was loaded up with meat, and just had enough onions and tomatoes for the perfect flavor. It also came with a dipping sauce that was creamy and yummy!
