The pizza is always great. The family loves the massive variety of toppings. I'm still trying to figure out why kids don't like anchovies on Pizza! I live in the neighborhood and used to eat here at least once a week for 5+ years. Sometimes twice a week. It was one of my wife and I's favorite local spots. 2ish years ago they had the name change. That isn't all that changed. I stopped eating here because the pizza was always either cold or raw. I tried making "special requests" and that worked for a bit, but not for long. If just got ignored apparently. I stopped eating at one of my favorite spots in town for approximately 2 years. I tried it again tonight. I wish I wouldn't have. They didn't even cut my pie. I'll cut it, what ever... Who doesn't love chewy uncooked dough??? I requested light sauce and well done, and seriously this pizza is dripping in sauce and raw dough. The top cheese is cooked and even caramelized, but directly under is a warm-ish gooey mess. It's gross. 100% honesty... I am worried this might make me sick. read more

Decent bar pie pizza. Orders at the table seemed to come in slow, which is a little odd because the pizza (and calzone) wasn't hot. As NYE goes, it was packed but the place is very small. If 2024 were a restaurant it would be Big Jim's. The place needs to decide if it's a bar or a restaurant? It's not big enough for both. If you're going there's nothing blocking the wind from the front door from hitting your table with cold air. Since it's a barstsraunt there's no real wait service. The bartender was nice but there was too many people. The food was tepid quasi low taste and not good. It took 35-40 minutes to get 2 pizzas and some wings. It was kind of warm when it got to us. No drink refills for anyone. On this particular night you had a crowd for the guy singing. His family, a lot of them came, so you had 4 and 5 year olds sitting at the bar with their parents. Very high class. Since there was a crowd they couldn't wait to get us up off our table and out. One lady who appeared in the place l, with 2 cans of alcohol, all of a sudden became in charge. Helping others order alcohol. Very odd. There was a lot of family there to see this guy. But I don't think 4 year olds belong at the bar. Probably be out of business in 6 months. read more

My friend who is from the area highly recommended this place and I was excited to try as I rolled through town. I ordered a pizza and some Mac n Cheese bites with a few sides. Overall, everything was good. The Mac n Cheese bites were really good. Great flavor, nice crisp to them. Very good. They come with ranch or cheese sauce, but I enjoyed mine with some marinara. The pizza was ok. I added ricotta, however it was dry and clumpy but was I expecting soft and whipped with a hint of sweet. The sauce was pretty good and had a good almost smokey flavor. The service was prompt and everyone was polite. I tried several times to order on their website and kept receiving an error that I had not fulfilled a requirement for an item and it didn't give any indication how to fix the issue. I had to end up calling and I believe there was some miscommunication over the phone or because possibly it was loud because my pizza was not made properly. Overall though, I enjoyed my pizza and this restaurant and would try it again and recommend it if you're in the mood for local pizza. read more

Gave it 2 stars because the mozzarella sticks were good. Not sure what's up with cold marinara though. Deep dish is a hard NO! Husband is from Chicago and we eat Giordano's regularly, either at the restaurant or have it shipped. Please do not think what this place is passing for deep dish even comes close. The crust is chewy bread, not crunchy pastry crust. The crust is thicker than the skimpy layer of mozzarella. The mozzarella is the whole point of this pie. We tried Big Jim's as being from Chicago we just haven't found a really great Pizza here in Amarillo. We found a gem in Big Jim's. We've been there twice - the first time we tried a small hand tossed pepperoni and sausage and my wife had a Canadian bacon, tomato, green olive. VERY good. Our second visit we had a deep dish - ( need to call ahead as the deep dish takes and hour to make) and it was excellent! Reminded us of a Chicago pie at Giordano's a lot! Service is just o.k. or average - they have one person covering the restaurant side AND the Bar side so they are spread pretty thin so be patient!!! We've found a new favorite pizza place in Amarillo!!! The only caveat - is the place is small and not much seating - if more people discover this place they may need to move to a bigger location!! read more

My advice is skip this place. It hasn't been good since the name change. I've lived in the neighborhood for years and ordered here for years. When eating at the restaurant it has been phenomenal, but for the last two years I stopped wanting to order from here however my wife loves it. But our order is always messed up. But now I'm done. I've stared ordering our pizza "well done" as the pizza seems always undercooked. And not only that, but when ordering online I have to leave a message in the notes to repeat my order. It's successful 50% of the time. Tonight I got a pizza raw inside. I paid for double cheese, didn't get it. When this place is made right, it is the best in town. First off, thank you for being open til midnight. Had a 12 and a half hour drive, pulled into Amarillo, and desperately needed a good late dinner. This was perfect. My wife had the lamb gyro, I had a pepperoni and mushroom calzone. We just sat quietly there, making occasional appreciative sounds. She loved the gyro. We even briefly talked about making Amarillo a destination next time because of how good her gyro was. I honestly do not know where to begin. I was passing through Amarillo with my dog, starving after a long drive from Oklahoma City, heading to Albuquerque. I was given the menu for this place and ordered dinner. First off, they didn't deliver the (two orders) chicken I got for my dog. The GYRO sandwich was COMPLETELY inedible...stale bread, old icky hard meat, WILTY GROSS LETTUCE. SLIMY onions. It was also TINY, but that wasn't really an issue as it was so bad, I couldn't even eat two bites. My hungry dog wouldn't even eat it..which is shocking, because she will usually eat anything meat. The coleslaw was also old and soggy and warm, very inedible. And the cheesecake was hard and tiny, and just...NOT good. And I have never met a piece of cheesecake that I couldn't eat. Now I have. The "cherry topping" was this red goo with one cherry. There was no napkin, no cup (to go with the Dr. Pepper I ordered) and no silverware. WHAT THE HECK? I want to warn anyone considering ordering out from La Bella Pizza to RUN... This was actually not even food, in my opinion. It was like something pulled from the garbage of two days earlier. Shame on you La Bella Pizza. UPDATE: OK It is an hour later and the nice delivery guy brought the chicken for my dog. I just want to be clear here, they did deliver it. It was fine. I have mixed views about this restaurant. We stay at the Marriott Hotel frequently for business and in most cities get to know favorite restaurants who recognize us by our phone number every time. We are looking for that same greatness in Amarillo. This place has potential. The pizza was spot on. The chicken wings were cooked right, we had both the Carolina Reaper and Sweet BBQ, but the grease that they used to cook both the wings and the fish combo was dirty. It showed in the taste and darkness of the food. I expected the fish from a pizza place to be frozen, but when cooked in dirty grease it ruined it completely. I also requested tarter sauce..making sure they had tater sauce before ordering the fish dinner telling them I wanted that in place of the cocktail sauce. The woman taking our order was extremely pleasant as was our delivery person. When our order arrived my fish had six 2 oz containers of cocktail sauce and no tartar sauce. We called and they pleasantly offered to send tarter sauce right over. When it came, instead of inhouse tarter as would be expected they sent 4 very small packets of tarter sauce for a sampler size dinner and fries that they themselves felt needed six 2oz containers of cocktail sauce. If we were to order here again I would stick to the pizza. read more
